Su Wanwan didn't know why she felt uneasy all day, as if something terrible was about to happen.
On the way to the bank, Su Wanwan asked the driver, "Is this your first time driving this kind of car, Xiao Zhao?"
Xiao Zhao shook his head: "No, I used to rent a Rolls-Royce when I went out with friends, and I've driven it before."
Su Wanwan reminded him, "Then be careful, Rolls-Royces are indeed quite difficult to drive."
Xiao Zhao nodded: "Don't worry, Madam. Don't let my young age fool you, I've always been a very steady driver."
Su Wanwan nodded silently.
When she was a child, her family was in a car accident because her father changed drivers, and the new driver didn't handle the situation well and caused the accident.
So she was always worried that something would happen to Xiao Zhao soon after he touched the car.
She was really panicked; her heart was beating so fast that she had some difficulty breathing, and she even felt weightless from time to time, as if something terrible was about to happen.
Xiao Zhao seemed to have sensed her thoughts, so he asked, "What are you worried about, Madam? You seem very nervous. Are you worried that I'm driving unsteadily?"
Su Wanwan looked uneasily at the pink magnolias outside the window, pinching the fingers of her other hand with one hand.
Even though she was very nervous, she still comforted Xiao Zhao, saying, "I'm fine. I probably drank too much last night and didn't sleep at all, which is why I'm feeling flustered now."
Xiao Zhao has a high EQ. To relieve her pressure, he chatted with her: "I feel that the young mistress has a high alcohol tolerance. She drinks a lot but doesn't seem to get drunk."
Su Wanwan remembered a physics formula she learned in high school and brought up a chemical reaction with him.
"Actually, how much you can drink is also closely related to your physical condition. I probably have a lot of alcohol dehydrogenase in my body, which can quickly break down alcohol into acetaldehyde, so I don't get drunk."
Xiao Zhao hadn't thought of that, but he did think of another, adding, "Also, if the liver has a strong metabolic capacity, it can quickly break down alcohol into acetaldehyde, which is then excreted through the kidneys, so you won't get drunk, but you'll keep wanting to go to the toilet."
Su Wanwan successfully shifted her attention and gradually relaxed, praising Xiao Zhao: "You're quite capable; it's a waste of your talent to be a driver."
Xiao Zhao laughed and replied, "Haha, I can learn a lot as a driver for a rich tycoon, it's not a waste of my talents at all. Besides, I feel very happy every time I see the young mistress and Mr. Jiang being all lovey-dovey."
Mentioning Jiang Shengjun, Su Wanwan's face unconsciously turned red.
Thinking back to the hangover soup she made for Jiang Shengjun last night, which she accidentally burned, she noticed that he had to drink it all with great pain before commenting, "This hangover soup is so torturous, but looking at you, it somehow tastes sweet and refreshing."
Su Wanwan found his disgusted expression quite amusing.
The funnier it was, the happier she felt being with him. When others discovered this happiness, she would unconsciously blush.
Su Wanwan sat in the back seat with the window open. Every time she looked at the scenery outside the window and felt the wind blowing, she would quickly calm down.
Looking at the white magnolias outside the window, Su Wanwan kept thinking, "Why am I afraid of losing both friendship and love? Maybe love and not love are not important. What's important is that I can't keep wasting my time in this environment. After I finish this, I should make a clean break with Jiang Shengjun."
After arriving safely at the bank and withdrawing the money, she hurriedly went to the location designated by the debt collector to repay the debt.
They chose an empty building complex not far from the city center that was just about to be completed.
When they arrived at the scene, there was no one around.
"Hello, where is Mr. Wang? I've brought the money with me." Su Wanwan called Wang Yilin, who was collecting debts.
A disdainful look came from Wang Yilin's side, "Oh? You're here, Miss Su. Do you know that your father took a small golden butterfly from the Hall of Mental Cultivation, sold it for five million, and then gambled it all away, winning back the ten million?"
"So, my dad doesn't owe you any money anymore?" Su Wanwan asked.
Wang Yilin turned on the phone as a video call, holding the phone high in his right hand and smoking a cigarette in his left.
“Yes, Miss Su. If we didn’t owe you, we wouldn’t have let you come today. Later, your father couldn’t stop gambling and lost more than five million.”
Su Wanwan noticed that the surroundings seemed quite tall, and asked, "Where are you now?"
"I'm on the rooftop. I've come to meet your parents and brother."
Wang Yilin moved the phone camera to his family members.
Li Wenyan, Su Yuanxin, and Su Xingzhou's hands were tied to a pillar on the rooftop.
Su Xingzhou lay on the ground, barely alive, his pale clothes covered with shocking wounds.
What did you do to them?!
Su Wanwan felt as if her heart was being torn apart, and anger and resentment welled up inside her.
She hadn't contacted her mother all night, and today she saw that Su Xingzhou had many injuries. It was clear that Wang Yilin had used violence against them.
Li Wenyan and Su Yuanxin appeared to be perfectly fine, but their faces were so pale that a gust of wind could blow them away.
“Miss Su, since your father can take gold out of the Hall of Mental Cultivation to sell, it means that one of you four knows the whereabouts of the key to the Hall of Mental Cultivation, or that one of you has the key to the Hall of Mental Cultivation.”
Wang Yilin's dagger slid lightly across Li Wenyan's face, quickly leaving a bloody mark.
"Wang Yilin! I'm warning you, you're playing with fire and getting burned!"
As Su Wanwan spoke, she ran upstairs, not wanting to negotiate with him through the screen any longer.
Her mother cared most about her appearance, and she knew her mother would be very sad if her face was scratched.
