Chapter 69 Good, good, good! Mr. Jiang and I are the best of friends in the world!

As dawn broke, blurring the lines between day and night, Su Wanwan felt nothing but stinging pain.

When I woke up, I found myself alone by a river in a valley. When I looked back, the surrounding area was completely covered by forest.

"It's so cold." Su Wanwan breathed on her hand.

Her eyes darted around, but she couldn't find Ah Q anywhere.

Last night, they were chased relentlessly, their journey winding and full of twists and turns.

Su Wanwan and Ah Q decided to jump out of the car and slid all the way from the middle of the mountain to the bottom.

I don't know where my phone went after it was dropped.

Recalling what happened last night, she still couldn't help but shudder.

"Ah Q, Ah Q."

She called out softly from the surrounding area.

Because it was still barely dawn, Su Wanwan had no idea that Ah Q was now sitting on her bottom like a cushion.

As she was shouting, Su Wanwan felt a tickle on her back.

Who's scratching me?

Terrified, Su Wanwan dared not turn around. As dawn broke, Su Wanwan turned around and saw that she was lying on the back of Ah Q.

She immediately stood up and apologized: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, Ah Q."

He suddenly stood up and waved to indicate that everything was alright.

Su Wanwan went up and helped him lean against a large rock by the river.

"Are you really mute?" she asked.

Ah Q looked at Su Wanwan with his tired eyes, nodded silently, then reached to the riverbank, wet his index finger, and wrote on a large rock: "Thanks to Ouyang Cat."

Su Wanwan frowned, got up, and followed his example, wetting her fingers and writing "Understood" on the stone.

It wasn't that she didn't want to talk, but it seemed like someone was around. The sound of footsteps, carried by the babbling water, was annoying.

He raised his hand and wrote another word: "Go!"

Su Wanwan looked at him, hesitated for half a second, and then ran away.

Now that Ah Q is in this situation, there's no way to save him. It's better for everyone to go back to their own mothers and focus on saving their own lives.

but……

never mind.

She paused in place, then turned back and sat down by the river next to Ah Q, casually washing her hands.

"Am I, Su Wanwan, the kind of person who would stand by and watch someone die? If I stay here, even if we get caught, I can find a way to escape this place with you. If I leave now, neither of us might be able to escape."

Ah Q's eyes were filled with tears, and when he looked at Su Wanwan, he always felt that she was shining.

When he was bullied at school, the person he trusted most would run away.

Later, his father passed away, and his mother abandoned him and soon left.

From childhood to the present, no one has ever firmly chosen to stay with him, so he felt it was normal for Su Wanwan to leave.

But when Su Wanwan came back, he suddenly felt very happy. His whole body felt warm, and his injuries no longer hurt.

Su Wanwan said to him, "Don't worry, I'm still perfectly healthy. I will never let you die like this. If they come to arrest me, then let them arrest me."

She made those outrageous statements to attract people to arrest her, hoping that once they helped her carry Ah Q onto the highway, they would have a chance to escape together.

Ah Q watched her retreating figure and reached out to touch her shoulder.

Su Wanwan turned around, and Ah Q gestured for her to come closer.

She asked in confusion, "Hmm?"

Ah Q raised his weathered hand in mid-air and beckoned Su Wanwan with his four fingers together, gesturing for her to come closer once more.

Su Wanwan did as he said, moving closer to him. He cupped Su Wanwan's head in his large hand and raised his hand to wipe the grime off her face.

As the years passed, Ah Q heard the sound of flowing water and the chirping of cicadas in summer, and saw flocks of sparrows everywhere.

In the past, he would have appreciated the natural beauty first, but now, he felt that Su Wanwan in front of him surpassed all the beautiful scenery.

He lowered his head and kissed her forehead, feeling that all the inhuman treatment he had endured over the past two months had been worthwhile.

Su Wanwan felt something was off from the start, but after Ah Q kissed her and she recalled the days she spent with him, she roughly guessed his feelings.

Just then, Jiang Shengjun saw this scene and turned back when he was fifty meters away from them.

I'm so angry.

The forest was so dense that Su Wanwan and the others couldn't see Jiang Shengjun at all, but they could hear footsteps slowly approaching.

Jiang Shengjun turned around and took a few steps, then immediately turned back and strode down the hillside.

He raised his hand to signal, and the bodyguards swarmed around him.

Su Wanwan thought these people were the same group that had chased them down last night, so she stood up calmly.

"I've been waiting for you here for so long, why are you only arriving now..."

Su Wanwan turned her head and saw Jiang Shengjun rushing over with a fierce aura, his eyes filled with malice. In the blink of an eye, his figure appeared in the intricate forest, looking as handsome as a demon.

"Jiang Shengjun, you've arrived!"

Su Wanwan felt happy when she saw him and rushed forward to hug him.

"You scared me! I thought it was one of those guys who chased me last night. I was wrong last night; I shouldn't have argued with you."

The frost in Jiang Shengjun's eyes suddenly melted away with Su Wanwan's embrace, and a hint of warmth appeared in his eyes for a moment.

However, the thought of Su Wanwan's intimate behavior with Ah Q made him very angry. He pushed Su Wanwan away and turned to walk up the slope.

Su Wanwan quickly followed, her clothes covered in mud and dirt, and she kept patting them off as she walked.

"Jiang Shengjun, I was wrong. I shouldn't have ignored your feelings last night."

At this moment, Su Wanwan's figure was getting further and further away from Ah Q's sight, and her voice was also getting further and further away from Ah Q.

The bodyguards walked up to Ah Q and helped him up, saying, "Boss, you've suffered."

In the vast forest, a group of them moved among the scattered people amidst the branches and sunlight.
