Su Wanwan was soaked to the bone, with rainwater running down her hair and over her body.
In the rain-blurred environment, Su Wanwan saw Jiang Shengjun striding towards her with an umbrella, and she could vaguely hear him cursing.
"You woman! You only get up when it's raining and you have to wait for me to pick you up? You don't even know how to take care of your body."
Upon seeing her, Su Wanwan immediately stood up and ran towards him. Her knees were a little sore from kneeling for so long, and she lost her balance and fell into Jiang Shengjun's arms.
Despite the noisy splashing of water droplets, she clung tightly to Jiang Shengyun, her whole body soaked.
"Jiang Shengjun, I really know I was wrong. I will never say anything carelessly again."
Jiang Shengjun threw away the umbrella, picked her up in his arms, and the two went back in the pouring rain.
Upon seeing this, the servants rushed forward to pick up the umbrellas, all of them happy for Jiang Shengyun and Su Wanwan, silently thinking, "They really are crazy, this pair of lunatics."
Back in her room, Su Wanwan's clothes, soaked by the rain, accentuated the contours of her body with a striking and hazy beauty.
Jiang Shengjun wrapped her body tightly in a small blanket and gently rubbed her damp hair.
He said to her, "You're really crazy. What if I hadn't gone down to pick you up today?"
Su Wanwan looked at him and pouted, "If you won't come down, then I'll kneel for the whole night. I don't believe you won't feel sorry for me."
"Will you dare to talk like that again in the future?"
Su Wanwan shook her head: "No, not anymore."
Then he added another sentence.
"But if you give me the cold shoulder again next time, I won't try to appease you like this."
After saying that, Su Wanwan took her pajamas and went to the bathroom to take a shower.
Jiang Shengjun watched her figure and vaguely sensed that she seemed angry, but it didn't seem that angry.
Before Su Wanwan closed the bathroom door, he asked her, "So before you said that that day, were you angry at me, or what were you angry about? I want to hear the truth."
“I wasn’t angry with anyone that day, I was angry with myself. Also, if you were suddenly betrayed by a brother you’ve trusted for years, I’ll ask you, wouldn’t you be angry?”
After Su Wanwan finished speaking, she closed the bathroom door and put on some music in the bedroom to relax.
Forty minutes later, Su Wanwan came out of the bathroom and walked straight to Jiang Shengjun's side, where she lay down on him like a kitten.
Jiang Shengjun turned off his phone, which he had been scrolling through, and gently stroked Su Wanwan's back. He smelled the fragrance emanating from her and apologized, "I'm sorry. I've done something wrong these past few days. I shouldn't have neglected you. Otherwise, you wouldn't have gone to see Fu Yan."
Su Wanwan is now completely relaxed, but thinking about what Aunt Fu said today makes her feel like a stone is pressing on her heart.
“Shengjun, it seems that Grandma and Aunt Fu are intentionally or unintentionally trying to break us up so that I can be with Fu Yan. You know I won’t do that. Once I love someone, I will love him forever, unless one day he tells me that he doesn’t love me anymore. Then I will let go and find someone else.”
Upon hearing Su Wanwan's affirmative answer, Jiang Shengjun's lips unconsciously curled up: "So, you didn't go to see Fu Yan voluntarily today?"
Su Wanwan shook her head: "I went voluntarily and even bought him fruit. Coincidentally, Fu Yan also likes wax apples, just like me. He's quite handsome and responsible."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Shengjun pushed Su Wanwan away.
His woman actually praised other men in front of him, and even said that this man shared the same hobbies as her.
Besides, this man is a brother he's known since childhood!
"What's wrong?"
Did I say something wrong again?
Su Wanwan was puzzled.
But it seems like I've figured something out.
Her Mr. Jiang is jealous.
Ignoring his expression when he pushed her away, Su Wanwan was only focused on how to stick to him.
Without saying a word, she took Jiang Shengjun's arm and rubbed her head against his arm.
"Alright, Jiang Shengjun, I went to see Fu Yan today to put my mind at ease."
Jiang Shengjun pushed her away: "Since you feel at ease when you're with him, why do you still do these things for me, making me feel like you love me a lot?"
Su Wanwan took out her phone. "Don't be angry yet. Listen to this recording first. I promise you won't be angry after you listen to it."
Su Wanwan placed her phone on the coffee table, and the recording continued to play. When Jiang Shengjun heard his wife peeling apples for Fu Yan, washing wax apples for Fu Yan, and sweetly saying to Fu Yan, "If you're not going to eat, then I'll eat," he was overjoyed.
He looked at Su Wanwan with a "You're deliberately trying to annoy me, Su Wanwan!" expression.
Not wanting to see Su Wanwan, he could only lean back on the sofa and cover his eyes with his hands as he listened.
He suppressed his anger as he listened to his wife's sweet conversation with another man.
When he heard Su Wanwan say, "Mr. Fu, if Jiang Shengjun and Ouyang Maomao get married, we can become a couple," he immediately couldn't help but turn off the recording.
He got up and went to bed, covered himself with the blanket, and just wanted to be alone with someone.
Su Wanwan couldn't stop laughing at his jealous reaction, and even burst out laughing out loud.
Jiang Shengjun was already annoyed to death, but he never expected Su Wanwan to make him so angry.
Immediately afterwards, the recording on the phone started playing again.
Fu Yan's voice appeared in Jiang Shengjun's ears one after another, "The child in the cat's belly is mine."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Shengjun immediately threw off the covers and got up to look at Su Wanwan, who was lying by the bedside, staring at her with a look of shock and disbelief.
Then Su Wanwan asked, "Mr. Fu, you have to take responsibility for what you said."
Fu Yan's bold admission came through the phone, and then he heard Su Wanwan telling him that she loved him very much. His angry expression instantly softened.
After listening to the recording, Su Wanwan looked at Jiang Shengjun and said happily, "You're not angry anymore, are you?"
Jiang Shengjun also lay down beside her and asked curiously, "Wanwan, how did you come to suspect Fu Yan? I remember you didn't seem to know Fu Yan at all."
Su Wanwan explained to Jiang Shengjun in detail her guesses and verifications over the past few days.
After saying that, Jiang Shengjun raised his hand and patted her head: "My wife is indeed very smart. So now you don't doubt me anymore?"
Su Wanwan shook her head: "I have never doubted you. I just need to find evidence to put my mind at ease. Actually, I don't want you to sue Ouyang Maomao. Although I don't have much hope for her anymore, it's best not to fall out."
Jiang Shengjun thought that Su Wanwan didn't want to sue Ouyang Maomao because of their long-standing friendship, but in reality, Su Wanwan wanted to continue their sisterly relationship and then gradually find evidence of her harming A Q.
She wanted to see if Ouyang Maomao was really as vicious as Ah Q had described.
But if she said it to Jiang Shengjun's face, Jiang Shengjun would probably get jealous again.
Su Wanwan seemed to be deep in thought.
Jiang Shengjun seemed to have noticed something and asked, "Wanwan, are you hiding something from me?"
