Just from the names, Hera could probably tell how dangerous these two places were.
Looking at my thin arms and legs, I decisively gave up on the first path.
So it seems that I only have one last option left.
"I'll choose the second option; I'm not really suited for combat."
How can I gain your approval?
"Come with us and do what the guardians are supposed to do. Then we'll see how you perform and how you act."
Just as I expected, it was almost exactly the same as a human work internship.
Hera smiled bitterly to herself, never expecting that her first internship would be like this.
This is probably unprecedented and will likely never be repeated.
"Well, have you thought it through? If you have, I can take you away after you rest for a while."
There are just three guardians in this area, including myself, which is enough for you to gain recognition.
"But let me make this clear first: even if this one isn't as dangerous as the first one, no one can guarantee your safety."
"Our work as guardians is also very dangerous."
The spirit shark stared at Hera, its serious gaze telling her that this was no joke.
Hera hesitated upon seeing this.
Ultimately, she was nothing more than a child who had grown up in a greenhouse, as fragile and easily broken as crystal.
She was naturally scared when she was suddenly told that what she was going to do would be life-threatening.
Moreover, now that I have the healthy body I once dreamed of, I naturally cherish life even more.
Seeing Hera hesitate, Spirit Shark raised an eyebrow slightly, already beginning to reject Hera in his heart.
Hera slowly closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, her eyes were filled with determination.
"Okay, I'm willing!"
What's the point of having a healthy body and life if you can't see the people and things you care about?
Ling Sha didn't say anything, lay down on a rope, and slowly closed his eyes.
"Take a nap, and come with me when you wake up." After saying that, she fell into a deep sleep.
Tangtang, who had been standing quietly by the side without disturbing the two, swam up to Hera's side.
"I wish you success, and you don't need to worry too much about any danger. Although the Guardians are strict, they will never let you get hurt."
Just don't disobey their instructions and run around aimlessly.
"I understand, thank you!"
Hearing Tang Tang say this, Hera breathed a sigh of relief.
At the same time, my opinion of the Guardians has improved a lot.
"Okay, let's stop here for now. I'm a little sleepy too. I'm going to bed now."
Tangtang stuffed the candy into the mesh bag, closed her eyes, and began to rest and sleep.
"Get a good night's sleep." Hera also crawled back into the net.
The moment I crawled in, my previously energetic spirit suddenly turned to exhaustion.
Sleepiness surged into Hera's mind like a tidal wave, her eyelids felt like they were filled with lead, and she quickly closed them and fell into a deep sleep.
Seawater poured in through one window and then flowed out through the other.
The three people's hair swayed silently in the quiet room with the flowing seawater.
A moment later, Hera suddenly opened her tightly closed eyes, and a necklace and bracelet appeared on her neck and wrists.
Those big, peach-colored eyes were devoid of any light, as if they had been drained of all emotion.
She slowly climbed out of the net, stood up, and swam towards the door.
"What are you going to do?"
A cold, stern voice suddenly came from behind Hera, causing her to pause.
"I'm a little hungry and I want to go out to find something to eat."
Hera answered without turning her head, preventing Spirit Shark from seeing her expression.
"I'll go with you. Judging from your condition, you probably won't find any food."
As Ling Sha finished speaking and was about to get up, Hera calmly refused.
"No need, I'll be back soon."
She lifted the curtain and swam out, leaving Ling Sha looking solemn.
Hera's figure swam swiftly in the seawater, her speed almost matching that of the spirit shark in its sea shark dragon form.
Hera only stopped slowly after swimming a certain distance.
He clenched his fist, sensed the energy within his body, and muttered to himself:
"His strength is almost down to 'ten thousand stars' and he still doesn't know how to eat. It seems he needs to work on his hunger more in the future."
The fair right hand slowly wriggled, transforming into a tentacle with a large mouth, and suddenly swam past the shark like a python, swallowing it whole.
After being swallowed, the tentacles began to slowly decompose, turning into wisps of scarlet that drifted into the seawater, dyeing a large area of the ocean a deep red.
A tuna, darting like a sharp sword, plunged headfirst into the crimson sea fog.
When it emerged, only stark white bones remained, and the crimson blood mist behind it grew even larger.
As if it were alive, it drifted towards the school of fish under Hera's control.
A large number of fish swarmed in, and were then devoured.
The blood mist was like the gaping maw of an abyss, greedily devouring every creature around it.
...
A faint smell of blood entered Hera's nostrils through the seawater, and her white eyelashes trembled slightly as she slowly opened her eyes.
"Hmm..."
She made a series of cute sounds, stretched, and climbed out of the net bag.
"What are you doing...?"
Hera rubbed her eyes and looked in the direction of the bloody smell.
"We're eating, are you going to eat or not?"
The spirit shark was holding a tuna that was about the same size as Hera, but half of its body had been eaten away and almost disappeared, with traces of blood seeping out.
Tangtang, standing next to him, was also holding a small piece of fish and chewing it slowly, her eating manners completely opposite to Lingsha's.
The shark tore off a large piece of fish meat and threw it to Hera, who caught it in a daze.
