City D
Hera, also known as HeLa Cell, was curled up in the back seat of a car, while Sun Hai was driving, occasionally glancing at Hera through the rearview mirror.
Hera kept her eyes on Sun Hai.
The two also had extremely rich inner thoughts.
"Honestly, I didn't expect to encounter something like this after only two months at home. If I weren't the only one in the team who had free time, I wouldn't bother with her at all."
Sun Hai thought to himself, speechless, while glancing at Hera in the rearview mirror.
"Sigh~ But this girl is really pitiful. Not only has she lost her whole family, but she's also developing mental health issues. I hope she can recover soon."
'What is he going to do with me? After carrying me away, he took me to a place with lots of people, and there was a strange white person looking me up and down. Then he gave me some kind of water in a strange way, but it did replenish a lot of energy. Now he's put me in this metal lump, but I hope it won't do anything to me.'
But just to be on the safe side, Hera kept a close eye on Sun Hai, just in case he suddenly attacked her.
However, Sun Hai didn't think much of Hera's expressionless stare at him, which made him look like a curious child.
They drove like this for about an hour before finally stopping in front of a building.
Sun Hai drove the car into the underground parking lot and parked it in a random parking space.
After the car came to a complete stop, he turned off the engine, opened the door, and got out.
Then walk to the back door and open it.
Upon opening the car door, Sun Hai saw Hera still curled up in her seat.
Hera also turned to look at Sun Hai.
Sun Hai, however, was in a dilemma.
"Uh... this is a problem. She can't understand me. How am I supposed to get her out of the car? I can't exactly carry her again, can I?"
Sun Hai tentatively reached out and gently grasped Hera's wrist.
When Hera saw Sun Hai holding her hand, although she felt a little strange, she chose not to make any rash moves and decided it was better to go along with him for now.
Seeing that Hera did not resist, Sun Hai breathed a sigh of relief and then gently pulled Hera out of the car.
At first, Hera was tugged a couple of times by Sun Hai and didn't know what he meant, but she soon realized that Sun Hai probably wanted her to get off this iron lump.
Then Hera got out of the car.
After pulling Hera out of the car, Sun Haiyue closed and locked the car door.
Then, gently holding Hera's wrist, he walked outside.
Hera stared at Sun Hai expressionlessly.
'He probably already considers me one of his own, so he probably won't do anything to me, just like those ants did back then.'
The two walked out of the underground parking lot, then through the residential area, into the apartment building, and then to the elevator, where they opened the door and went inside.
"Ding~"
The elevator doors closed and then slowly ascended.
Sun Hai stood calmly in the elevator, holding Hera's wrist, but Hera, who was being held by him, was not so calm.
'This is a strange feeling. Why do I feel heavier?! Is it because I entered this small room?'
Hera turned and glanced at Sun Hai.
'But this thing next to me, doesn't he find it strange? Did he deliberately enter this room? What's his purpose in bringing me here?'
Hera now only felt that her fragile body was suffering from the resistance of the elevator going upward, just like when she enlarged the body of an insect.
Do I need to lose some weight?
Just as Hera had this idea, the elevator "dinged" and arrived at its destination.
The sudden stop of the elevator made Hera feel dizzy, and she almost stumbled and lost her balance.
This startled Sun Hai, who quickly reached out his other hand to support Hera's shoulder.
Hera seems really weak; she almost fainted while riding the elevator.
Sun Hai thought to himself, it seems he will have to take even better care of her in the future.
Hera, however, remained completely bewildered.
Then, Sun Hai brought Hera to his house and took out his key to open the door.
A room that was neither too big nor too small appeared before Hera; it wasn't particularly nice, but it was exquisite.
It feels like the place is inhabited by someone who knows how to enjoy life.
"Alright, you'll be staying here from now on. I have an empty room at home, but no empty bed. You can sleep in my bed for the next couple of days, and I'll just make do on the sofa for a couple of days."
After Sun Hai finished speaking, he led Hera into the house. Without waiting for Hera to understand, he took a quilt and a pillow out of the closet and put them on the sofa.
After doing all this, he closed his eyes and sat on the sofa as if to rest. After all, what had happened today was too much for him, both physically and mentally.
Hera stood there blankly, showing no intention of sitting down, and continued to stare at Sun Hai.
Is he resting now? Should I kill him now?
But as soon as Hera had this idea, Sun Hai opened his eyes again, and Hera had no choice but to give up the idea.
Sun Hai sat up from the sofa, glanced at Hera, and then went straight into the kitchen to start cooking.
When Hera saw Sun Hai walk into the kitchen, she stood still for more than ten seconds, then glanced at the sofa and felt that sitting on the sofa might reduce energy consumption.
So Hera sat down on the sofa.
