Chapter 211 This doesn't seem as wonderful as I imagined.

Inside a luxury hotel.

Hera lay on her luxurious bed, her eyes open, watching the clock ticking slowly beside her.

A little while later, a golden insect flew in through the outside window.

It landed next to Hera's pillow.

"Boss, I've already reported to Tote and the others, and told them to focus on gathering intelligence on Godslayer Technology Company."

"Hmm." Hera nodded, then ignored Xiao Huan.

Xiao Huan didn't pay any attention, perching by the bedside and flapping its wings idly while chatting with Hera—though it was mostly just her talking to herself.

"I don't know why Aikaren keeps doing strange things every day."

He's been hiding under the covers the whole time. When I arrived, he didn't even come out to see me. He doesn't treat me like a senior at all!

"If I weren't too weak to beat him, I would have taken care of him long ago!"

Xiao Huan flew around haphazardly above the house in anger.

"Thoth was even worse; the whole room was filled with smoke, and it almost suffocated me."

When Fran saw me, he started arguing with me again without saying a word. Honestly, I hate him the most!

Xiao Huan talked on and on, and finally, when she got tired, she lay down on the bed to rest.

"Oh, right, there's another room next door where people seem to be having a reproductive exercise."

This is the first time I've ever seen this.

After uttering one last murmur, Xiao Huan fell into a deep sleep.

Helai lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ticking clock.

One second after another.

The hazy morning sunlight streamed through the window, making the golden-yellow phantom shimmer and sparkle.

Hera kicked the blanket off and rolled off the bed.

The Patrick Star pajamas on her body seemed to come alive and began to wriggle, then transformed into a beautiful casual outfit.

Hera grabbed the still-sleepy Xiao Huan, stuffed her into her pocket, and then pushed open the door and went out.

As soon as he stepped outside and turned around, he saw Aikaren, who had also just opened her door and come out. Their eyes met.

Good morning, boss.

After looking at each other for a few seconds, Aikaren was the first to greet him.

"Okay, I'm going to have breakfast."

Hera replied, then closed the door and started walking downstairs.

"Oh, me too."

Ekaren mustered his courage and followed Hera.

The two had walked a few steps when they came face to face with Yamada, whose eyes were slightly red and whose clothes were disheveled.

Aikalen's eyes widened slightly.

Upon seeing the two, Yamada nervously pulled up his collar to cover a bruise on his neck.

Then, feeling somewhat embarrassed and ashamed, I greeted them both.

Good morning.

Hera nodded in greeting, "Good morning, were you beaten up?"

Looking at Yamada's messy hair and the thick scar on his thigh, Hera asked in confusion.

Yamada's body trembled violently, and he slowly lowered his head to answer in a low voice.

"No, no, I did it by accident."

As she spoke, she pulled her skirt down to cover herself further.

Aikalen's eyes trembled, somewhat incredulous, but she still asked, feigning nonchalance.

"Um, how's the movie going...?"

At the same time, he carefully observed Yamada's subtle movements.

Upon hearing this, Yamada forced a smile and nodded to Aikaren.

"It's a success! My boss has assigned me a role with quite a lot of screen time. I can go to the set in a few days. Maybe we'll even run into each other then."

Aikalen looked somewhat dazed and nodded blankly.

"Okay, congratulations... Well, I'll be going now."

After saying that, she followed Hera toward the back of Yamada, and Yamada also started walking forward.

Two young people, both with dreams, brushed past each other in opposite directions at this moment.

A woman, tears welling in her eyes, struggled forward, clutching the hem of her skirt.

The other's eyes were filled with confusion.

Same dream, different paths...

Along the way, Ekaren followed Hera like a lost soul, a walking corpse.

Hera would occasionally glance back at Ekaren, but he remained unresponsive.

Even if Hera looked into what Ekaren was thinking, she couldn't understand why he reacted that way.

When Ekalen came to his senses, he was already sitting in Toth's car.

Hera and I sat in the back, Thoth was driving, and Will was still in the passenger seat.

Hera turned to look at Ekaren, who had finally come to his senses, and patted him on the shoulder.

"H-what's wrong, boss?"

"What's wrong with you? You've been spacing out for so long."

This was the first time Hera had ever met someone who could be even more lost in thought than herself.

Aikalen lowered her eyes slightly.

"It's nothing, I just feel that some things aren't as wonderful as I imagined..."

Hera leaned back in her chair, blinking as she half-understood what Aikaren was saying.

Herla patted Aikaren on the shoulder to comfort her, then took out some potato chips and started eating them one after another.

"Boss, don't eat in my car."

"I'm the boss, I can eat whatever I want."

As he spoke, he grabbed a handful of potato chips and put them into his mouth.

Tote could only sigh helplessly.

He glanced at the rearview mirror, his brow furrowing, then looked to the other side, his eyes becoming wary.

"Boss, we're being followed. Several men on motorcycles are following us and have now surrounded us."

Hera opened her mouth and ate all the crumbs in the bag of potato chips, then handed the garbage bag to Ekaren and stuck her head out.
