The collapsing building crushed the people below.
Blood mist filled the air along with the rising dust.
After a scream, the crowd scattered like a flock of frightened sheep.
Hera looked at the fleeing crowd and raised her hand again, waving it gently.
The several blades on the back of his hand slashed through the crowd with blood-red sword energy, easily cleaving it in two.
Then dozens of thin, long, sharp tentacles burst out from Hera's back.
They seemed to be consciously separating and stabbing at the surrounding crowd.
The escapees were strung together one by one by tentacles, like people on a chopping board.
They were lifted behind Hera, forming a string of 'candied hawthorns'.
After absorbing the people strung on her tentacles, Hera's tentacles grew to hundreds of meters long as if they had their own lives, and began to hunt down the humans around them on their own.
Hera strolled leisurely on the ground, constantly waving her hands at the surrounding buildings, cutting them down.
The surrounding once bustling buildings were quickly reduced to ruins filled with cries of despair.
Hera unknowingly reached the top of the ruins, with tentacles behind her still relentlessly hunting and killing.
Hera slowly raised her head, quietly waiting for something.
Finally, after a moment, a red and black mechanical figure broke through the air and stopped above Hera.
Hera looked up at him, then defiantly raised her hand and unleashed several more sword strikes, killing the living people strung on the tentacles.
The armored vehicle in the sky visibly trembled, whether from fear or anger, it was unclear.
[Armor] Raises both arms towards Hera, white light emanating from the palms.
"High-energy cannon, fire..."
The dozens of tentacles behind Hera intertwined and merged into a single, thick tentacle.
It was directly aimed at the [Armor Warrior], which was still charging up.
[Armor Warrior] clearly did not expect Hera to attack directly; its tentacles, covered in sharp teeth, struck the metal surface without any obstruction.
A burst of sparks flew, and the [Armor Warrior] was knocked down by a single blow.
The high-energy cannon gathered in their hands was also released in the air.
Sizzle—!
Thick, dark red rays of light shot haphazardly through the air, cleaving several intact high-rise buildings in half.
Hera watched as the Armored Warrior crashed heavily to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
With a sudden burst of power from his legs, he sprinted to the spot where the [Armor Warrior] had fallen.
Her fair fist clenched, and she punched the face of the [Armor Warrior] who was still lying on the ground.
"The facial armor sustained minor damage."
A system notification sound reached Kvere's ears, quickly snapping him out of his daze.
The device on his chest, resembling an energy reactor, suddenly lit up.
A dark red energy blast shot out and exploded at point-blank range on Hera.
boom--!
The explosion engulfed the two people instantly.
A bloody, mangled object burst through the smoke and flew away.
[Armor Warrior] quickly stood up, used the thermal imaging device to lock onto Hera's position in the air through the smoke and dust, and raised his right hand.
A burst of energy blasted through the smoke and dust and shot towards Hera in the air.
Hera, in mid-air, quickly shifted her weight to the tentacles on her back.
The tentacles swayed rhythmically, actually dodging the energy blast that was about to hit them in mid-air.
"What kind of monster is this?!"
Kvere, inside the armor, nervously swallowed as he saw that his opponent was able to dodge his attack in mid-air.
Hera landed back on the ground, and the tentacles behind her, like strong limbs, gripped the ground and began to run.
Dozens of tentacles propelled Hera to an incredible speed, arriving before the [Armor Warrior] in the blink of an eye.
The pupils inside the [Armor Warrior] mech contracted rapidly, and it hurriedly opened its arms.
"Energy Shield!" A light blue energy shield enveloped it.
Bang!
Hera's fist still came crashing down without hesitation.
With the sound of bones shattering, the [Armor Warrior] and its slightly flickering shield were knocked back.
It didn't stop until it crashed into a tall building behind it.
Hera raised her fractured arm, which immediately twisted back into place and healed itself.
Dozens of tentacles stabbed forward like pythons.
[Armor Warrior] dared not engage in a direct confrontation, so it activated its thrusters to quickly retreat to one side.
Hera took a step and chased after her.
[Mech Warrior] flew at low altitude, launching countless tiny missiles from behind towards Hera.
The missiles struck Hera, leaving numerous small and medium-sized gaps in her body.
Hera raised her hand to block her arm while chasing after the [Armor Warrior].
But how can two legs outrun someone flying with a propeller?
So slowly, Hera gradually transformed into a quadrupedal crawler, her entire body changing as she ran.
The Armor Warrior, who was continuously launching missiles, began to break out in a cold sweat.
Because Hera in front of them was starting to move faster and faster, and the distance between them was getting smaller and smaller.
He gritted his teeth and decided to stop running, pause, and prepare to confront the enemy head-on.
As soon as he stopped, Hera's body transformed into a gaping maw capable of swallowing him whole.
"Energy Shield!"
[Warrior] Quickly wraps yourself in an energy shield.
Hera swallowed it whole, along with its energy shield.
It transformed into an irregular, large sphere of flesh and blood.
The flesh and blood kept compressing, while sharp teeth and claws kept growing inside, polishing the energy shield within the body.
"Energy shield damaged, about to shut down!"
