Hera squatted in front of the lump of flesh, lost in thought. "Is this thing me?"
"That's right."
"Then why don't I have this memory?"
“It must be because you died once before, which is why you lost your memory,” Nan Tian answered without hesitation.
He went on to add, “The Ultimate One is the embodiment of the Earth’s will, and so are the Five Plagues that arise from Him.”
"Therefore, even if the original power of the Five Calamities is completely annihilated, it will be reborn."
"However, that would be like drinking the Meng Po soup and being reincarnated, completely losing your memories of your previous life, and you might not even be the same person you were before."
"Oh, I see. I was really weak last time, that I actually died."
Hera poked her past self with her hand while mercilessly making sarcastic remarks.
The sea began to churn, the sky began to change, and the scarred ground slowly began to heal.
Looking at this scene, Nan Tian slowly opened his arms. "Humans... are pests of the earth."
"The alien species are the white blood cells that were born to save the Earth."
"The year the alien species was born, 1839, will forever be remembered by our Light God Society as a landmark year."
He spread his arms wide, as if to embrace the whole world, and shouted passionately towards the horizon.
"The God of Light will ultimately save the world!"
"How can we save it?"
Then Hera asked a fatal question, "To exterminate all of humanity?"
Nantian lowered his arms, smiled, and slowly nodded at Hera.
"That's right, our goal is to eliminate all humans and rid our planet of pests."
"So you summoned the Five Calamities so that we would kill humans one by one?"
Hera recalled the scene in her mind when the ground pronounced judgment on her.
"You might not be able to handle them all."
The other party shook his head slightly, "My plan does include summoning the Five Calamities, but not killing them one by one."
"Instead, we must allow the [Ultimate] to be reborn."
“That won’t do,” Hera questioned again. “The ‘Ultimate’ is just being killed by humans, and besides, humans nowadays all have superpowers. Can we really wipe them all out?”
Upon hearing this, Nan Tian simply smiled faintly, "You haven't forgotten the power of the Terra Tree."
"I haven't forgotten; it can convert any living being into a simple form of energy."
"That's right, this energy naturally includes mental energy as well."
A slow smile crept onto his lips. "And my strongest ability, [Nen], can grant any wish."
"So?" Hera tilted her head, still not understanding.
Nantian slowly turned around.
The surrounding environment began to change, and the Terra Tree slowly appeared before the two of them.
"My plan is to use the power of the Terra Tree to transform [Ultimate] into the purest spiritual power."
"Then it was forcibly poured into my body, and with this almost inexhaustible spiritual power, I made a wish to annihilate all mankind."
"The mental energy required to have such a desire to wipe out all of humanity is astronomical."
"Only those who stand at the pinnacle of combat power [Ultimate] can achieve this in the entire world."
As he fired the gong, the crowd that had been wandering around Hera and the blue sky vanished into nothingness.
Hera thought it over and realized that the plan was indeed feasible.
"So, are you going to wipe everyone out of the world?"
“Of course not.” Nan Tian shook his head. “All members of the Light God Society will be retained, but there will be a slight change.”
"What has changed?"
"Infertility".
"Oh, that's true."
Nan Tian smiled and continued walking forward, "However, there are additional rewards for official members, and for people like you."
"That means there is a chance to make a wish."
Hera suddenly recalled what Ye Yiqing and Bai Yu had said, and immediately understood what they meant by the ability to grant any wish.
"However, this opportunity to make a wish can only be realized after the mission of saving the world is completed, relying on the remaining spiritual power after the extermination of humanity."
"However, even the remaining ones are extremely large, so this is the only way to truly make any wish come true."
"So, what is your wish?" he suddenly asked Hera.
"After I die, just let me regain my memories, and then revive the souls inside me."
Without the slightest hesitation, Hera pointed to her stomach and head.
Nan Tian nodded. "Absolutely no problem."
Suddenly, he stopped and turned to look directly at Hera.
"Then, Hera Jaeger, the [Five Plagues] and [Life], welcome to the Order of the Light God."
The moment he finished speaking, the illusions around him began to crumble inch by inch, revealing the real scene outside.
Bright sunlight streamed through the colorful stained glass onto the marble floor and walls.
Gilded stripes are engraved on pillars that seem to reach straight to the heavens, and the tops of the pillars support a ceiling covered with murals.
This place looks like a church, but it's not quite the same as a church.
Where the golden cross was originally enshrined, there was no familiar cross, but instead a model of the Earth made of pure gold and exquisitely carved, floating in the air.
Hera looked around.
A dozen or so people with different appearances stood respectfully on both sides, and among them were several familiar faces.
Everyone was draped in a pure white and sacred cloak.
At their very center was the southern sky, which had just stopped.
