Chapter 459 Escape

Every day, I have to wake up before dawn to study high school material. After finishing my studies, I don't even have time to rest before I have to practice close combat skills, firearms techniques, and learn the theoretical knowledge of various superpowers.

After completing all this, I still had to go through several practical training sessions with some senior colleagues before I could fall asleep with aches and pains all over my body.

This is what thirteen-year-old Lü Weitian experiences in a single day.

But what about myself?

All you have to do is stand there day after day, watching Lü Weitian accomplish all of this, and you can even do some things you like.

Even so, I still felt that Lü Weitian had wronged me.

How foolish...

"When my brother was scolded by me, he must have hated me, his older sister, to the core..."

As the last wisp of longing swept through her mind, Lü Mengmeng finally faded away.

In the vast space, only Aikaren remained.

All seven pixelated hearts that had been floating behind him returned to his body.

His calm eyes were fixed on the spot where Lü Weitian had died.

His head turned stiffly as he looked at the dozens of people he had knocked unconscious.

But they found that they had become countless pieces of chopped-up corpses.

The stench of blood emanating from the hundreds of corpses around them assaulted Aikaren's nostrils.

He raised his hands, looked at the blood on his hands, and rubbed it on his body, but he couldn't get it clean.

"I...killed the child..."

His hands hung limply at his sides, and he looked up at the ceiling in a daze, as if he had lost all his strength.

After an unknown amount of time, a girl whose eyes were covered by her bangs quietly walked in from another area.

Seeing that only Aikaren was left, and the surrounding environment was in complete chaos, Yaodi immediately ran over to Aikaren.

"Are you alright? Are you hurt?"

You've worked hard, you're amazing!

Aikaren looked down at Yaodi, and her lifeless eyes finally regained a sliver of life.

"I'm fine... thank you..."

These emotions naturally couldn't escape Yao Di's notice, as she too could see through them with her eyes.

Are you... unhappy?

Aikalen was slightly stunned, and a feeling of indescribable emotion welled up in her heart.

"There is a little..."

His eyes sank again, revealing endless pain.

"I killed the child..."

This isn't your fault.

"But……"

As he spoke, Aikaren began to pant heavily, and beads of sweat rolled down his cheeks.

Just then, he felt a small, cool hand brush against her cheek, wiping away his sweat.

Aykaren snapped to attention and immediately realized that Yaodi was wiping his sweat.

Having never been in a relationship, his face suddenly turned bright red.

Looking down, I saw that Yaodi's face was also flushed with embarrassment, which must have taken a lot of courage to do this.

Seeing that Aikalen was looking at him, he quickly withdrew his hand.

"Thank you, thank you..."

"fine……"

Yao Di answered in that somewhat strange voice.

Both of them blushed, and neither of them spoke, breaking the silence.

After an unknown amount of time, Aikaren suddenly took a deep breath.

I strode toward the torn passage.

Yaodi looked at the other person with some confusion.

"I'll be back soon."

After saying this, a pair of wings rose from behind Aikaren, and in the blink of an eye, they arrived at the passage and stepped through.

...

In the neighboring residential area.

Coco sat nervously on a small stool, her eyes fixed on the passage where Tian Tian had left, her fingers nervously fidgeting.

He glanced at the spider enclosure next to him, picked it up, and hugged it to his chest.

The white eco-box has a Stitch sticker on its surface.

This is a scar left after the eco-box was repaired. Coco thought it looked ugly and was a little frustrated, so Tian Tian took out her treasured stickers and put them on it.

Although Coco still didn't think it looked very good, she felt that a clean and simple look suited her aesthetic.

However, Coco actually liked the kindness of such an innocent and kind child.

However, the other Coco couldn't have come up with it even if she racked her brains.

The little boy who played whack-a-mole and teased spiders with him turned out to be the gravedigger's strongest combat force, a Heroic Spirit.

At first I was indeed surprised and in awe, but now I am full of worry.

After all, according to other tomb keepers, every day they have to face the limits of human combat power.

Coco had also heard of the abilities of [Heroic Spirits], which involve summoning other souls to fight.

Coco still felt that sending a child to the front lines, or even making him an important fighting force, was an extremely irresponsible and cruel thing.

When Coco was thirteen, she would be sad for a whole day if she was beaten by her father, and she would be disgusted to the point of vomiting if she saw a small animal that had been hit by a car.

She couldn't imagine what kind of person would make such a child engage in such a cruel battle.

"Someone's coming out!"

Suddenly, a gravedigger exclaimed, pulling Coco back from her reverie.

She looked nervously and anxiously towards the passageway, praying that Tiantian would return safely.

But things didn't go as planned.

A tall, thin man with a pair of huge pixelated wings on his back stood there, looking down at the crowd like a god.

In an instant, everyone's hearts turned to ice.

From the powerful aura that Ekalen inadvertently exuded, they could tell that the opponent possessed the ultimate human combat strength.
