Chapter 388 Interview

"Stand by the vicinity of [Life]...adapt to changing circumstances..."

A deep voice, "X," came from Aikaren's phone.

"I see. Let's catch up now."

"Wait a minute," Thoth said, raising his hand to stop Ekalen.

"Isn't our boss going for an interview? I think we should prepare a resume for him."

It's no wonder he's someone who's so successful in the international industry; Thoth immediately knew what Hera needed at this moment.

Aikalen, who had never worked before, suddenly realized, "Oh, right, the company I'm interviewing with requires a resume!"

"Why go through all that trouble? Just hypnotize the interviewer."

Xiao Huan's shrill voice rang in their ears.

"To be on the safe side, let's go through the proper channels. We'll use your help if all else fails."

"Uh, okay." Xiao Xiang thought about it and realized it was better to use her own abilities as a backup. "By the way, it's been five years. You're still as smart as ever."

Thoth smiled faintly and adjusted his glasses. "I'm fine."

He then looked at the phone in Aikaren's hand that displayed a red X, "In such a short time, only you can complete a resume. Thank you for your help."

But to my surprise, [X] didn't seem to want to help.

“You are neither a member of the Light God Society nor a partner; you have no right to order me around…”

Before Thoth could say anything, Xiao Huan angrily flew out of Aikaren's pocket and crashed headfirst into the X on the phone screen.

"Are you an AI idiot?! We're here to help the boss! You brainless idiot, can't you even figure that out?!"

"Who are you calling an artificial idiot! You're just a golden dung beetle that can only hide in people's pants!"

[X] seems very dissatisfied with the term "artificial stupidity" and angrily scolds Xiao Huan.

"You talk like you're so great! If someone like you had been born a few decades earlier, they would have been mistaken for a broken computer and thrown into a junkyard to be used as a toilet!"

"You'd better not sleep too soundly, or I might electrocute you with a light bulb..."

"Hmph, a disgrace to a species that doesn't even have a body."

"you……!"

"Alright, stop arguing. This is indeed for the boss. [X] I'm just relaying a request to you."

Thoth calmly smoothed things over, and Xiao Huan returned to Aikalen's pocket. [X] said nothing more.

As the red X on the screen flashed for a few seconds, a file filled with a resume was sent to Aikaren's phone.

"Alright...you guys can print it yourselves from now on...I'm not going to do anything anymore..."

After that, the "X" on the screen disappeared, and everything returned to normal.

Aikaren opened the file, and inside was indeed an extremely detailed resume.

After glancing at it briefly and confirming that everything was correct, they prepared to begin their operation.

"Should we go make some copies next?"

“Yes, that’s right.” Thoth looked around and spotted a shop that offered printing services. “Found it, let’s go.”

The two took Will to the printing shop, told the owner, and then began printing the documents.

Several resumes were printed out in no time.

Thoth took it in his hand and checked it over. "Yes, it's all done."

"Okay, then... let's go."

Just as I was about to leave, the shop owner, an older woman, came over and said, "Young man, the photocopying fee is five yuan in total."

The three of them froze for a moment. Tote looked at Ekalen, and Ekalen looked at Tote.

"Um... Thoth, do you have money?"

"My previous account has been frozen, and I don't have any money left. Aren't you a mercenary? How come you don't have any money either?"

Aikaren pursed her lips. "I was just broke, that's why I took that job from the Fallen God Group."

"I didn't get the 10 million deposit back, but I gave it all to the boss..."

As he spoke, his voice grew softer and softer, and he would occasionally glance guiltily at his boss.

Just as the group was at a loss, a young man carrying a bunch of snacks walked out of the convenience store.

Seeing the way these people were acting, he simply tossed over the five yuan change he had given them and then left in a haughty manner.

"Poor bastard."

Aikaren silently took the five dollars, and upon hearing the kid's last complaint before leaving, a wave of shame washed over him.

...

Led by the female reporter, Hera arrived at a very inconspicuous media company.

"Is this the place?"

Looking at the four large characters "Dongte Media" written on the company's sign, Hera felt that the company was very small.

However, it seems that larger companies are more strictly managed, which makes it less likely for them to create panic, while smaller ones are more advantageous.

"Well, that's it..." The female reporter scratched her head awkwardly. "Our company is a bit small, but the entry requirements are relatively low. You graduated from a pretty good university, so you'll most likely get in."

The female reporter spoke with great conviction, and pulled Hera along, preparing to go inside.

Just before she was about to enter, Hera suddenly noticed that Ekaren was in a corner, cautiously waving at her.

"I'm going to the restroom, I'll be back in a bit."

Hera made up a random excuse and headed towards Ekaren.

"Hey, we have restrooms in our company, and the public restrooms aren't in that location either!"

Hera quickly arrived at Ekaren, who promptly handed her the resume he was holding.

"Boss, your resume... just give it to the interviewer later."

Hera took the resume, nodded without even glancing at it, and said, "Understood."

Then he turned and left.

"Boss, remember to check this out!"

Ekalen said something more from behind, but Hera had already walked into the company with her resume and the female reporter.

"The boss must have heard that..."

The interview office.

Hera pushed the door open with her resume in hand, startling the interviewer who was drinking water inside, causing him to spill tea on his clothes.

"Cough, cough!"

"Who? Who is who?!"

“Me,” Hera said, pointing to herself with an air of self-righteousness.

"..."

"Oh, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry!" The female reporter rushed in upon seeing this. "Mr. Yin, this is the person I called to tell you to come for an interview. He just graduated and doesn't know much, so please don't mind."

The interviewer's mood improved slightly. He put the cup aside and said in a lukewarm tone,

"Okay, you can go now."

"Okay, thank you for taking the time to interview her." After thanking her again, the female reporter closed the door and left.

"Give me your resume."

The interviewer absentmindedly extended his hand, and Hera stepped forward and shoved the resume into his hand.

Just as they got closer, the interviewer smelled a refreshing fragrance.

He glanced up at Hera subconsciously and realized that the girl who came for the interview was unbelievably beautiful.

Her previously cold expression softened immediately, and she seemed to feel much better.

"Sit down." He pointed to the bench in the center of the interview room, and Hera sat down without any hesitation.
