Chapter 285 I didn't mean to

"roar--!!!"

An explosive wave of water erupted from the dragon's center, sending the spirit shark and the bright shark flying.

Then, baring its blood-stained fangs, it lunged at Hera, who was holding the sea bream.

"Stop it!"

"Hera, run!"

Countless streams of seawater formed sharp edges, which burst forth from the tails of the two fish, cutting through the seawater blocking their path and slashing straight at the giant dragon.

The sharp blade struck the dragon's body, but only cut through its scales, without damaging its flesh and bones.

Hera turned around at the sound and saw a gaping maw, like a ripped abyss from hell, capable of swallowing her whole.

Upon seeing this, the fear of death enveloped Hera, and fear, like a demon, instantly drained all her strength.

Hera's legs buckled, and she collapsed to the ground with a thud.

"Get up and run!"

Seeing Hera slumped on the ground, Mingsha anxiously sped up and rushed over as fast as he could.

The spirit sharks then gathered their attacks again, attempting to kill Hera before the dragon could bite her down.

But it was all too late.

The dragon roared towards Hera like a mountain, each sharp fang like a scythe reaping death.

"ah--!!"

Hera screamed, fear making her close her eyes tightly. One hand protected the sea bream in her arms, while the other hand involuntarily reached out.

A small, fair hand slapped the dragon's nose just as it was about to bite down.

*Smack!*

The next moment, a loud explosion blasted from the dragon's nose, shattering its entire skull like a bomb.

Its head, now a mushy mess, dragged its long body to the side and crashed heavily onto the reef, smashing it into pieces.

"?!?!"

Hera stared wide-eyed at the scene.

If Hera hadn't been holding a piece of dragon skin that she had accidentally torn off earlier, she would never have believed that she had made it!

The two sharks were also stunned.

However, because the dragon's body was so large, it completely covered Hera.

They only saw the dragon pounce on Hera, then suddenly crash into a nearby rock for some unknown reason, and then lose its life.

Hera, are you alright?

Bright Shark hurriedly swam over, transformed into human form, and showed concern for Hera, while Spirit Shark swam to the dragon's side to check if it was completely dead.

"Uh...I...I'm fine..."

Hera shook her head blankly, and Mingsha breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness you weren't hurt."

When he saw that Hera was still fiercely protecting the sea bream in her hands even in this state, a look of surprise flashed in his eyes, followed by relief.

"What happened when I saw that beast?"

The spirit shark stood on the dragon's back, staring at the dragon's head, which had turned into a soft-bodied creature, and spoke solemnly.

"Uh...uh..."

"It seems like he was slapped to death by me..."

"ah?!"

Both fish were astonished. Seeing the lump of meat in Hera's hand, their shock surged like a rocket in their minds.

They stared at Hera with their mouths agape, like statues.

Hera felt a little uncomfortable being stared at, so she lowered her head slightly, like a child who had done something wrong, glancing at the two of them every now and then.

After a long pause, Mingsha finally spoke, his voice trembling.

"Ling, Ling Shark, is this what you meant by someone whose strength isn't that great?"

The shark's lips twitched, and it swam up to Hera, extending its enormous hand.

"Hold my hand, and I'll test your strength."

She still found it hard to believe that Hera, a creature that looked like it could crush a crab, could actually kill a dragon.

"oh oh."

Hera blankly handed the sea bream in her arms to Mingsha, and then reached out her small hand to hold it.

The difference in their hands was enormous; Hera's fair little hand was almost entirely held by the Spirit Shark.

"I said start with force, understand?"

"Okay, I understand!"

Hera took a deep breath, ready to go, though a little nervous.

"Okay, let's begin!"

The moment the words left his mouth, the two clasped hands suddenly tightened their grip!

Click—!

The sound of bones cracking came almost at the same time they exerted their strength.

Hera was startled and quickly pulled her hand back.

She rubbed her palm and found that there was no fracture or pain at all.

Hera seemed to realize something and slowly raised her head to look up at the spirit shark.

The once dignified Spirit Shark was now trembling slightly, clenching its teeth to keep itself from making a sound.

"Yes, I'm sorry..." Hera apologized, at a loss for words.

The shark held its severed hand in its other hand, bent over in pain, and its beautiful fins trembled slightly behind it.

Lingsha raised its head and glanced at Hera, looking at her apologetic and pitiful face.

Filled with resentment, he kicked the shark next to him, yelling, "What are you all standing there for! Hurry up and go treat the injured!"

This kick sent the latter flying, and Mingsha almost fell over while holding Haidingyu.

"Uh, yes."

He rubbed the spot where he had been kicked, glanced at the spirit shark with barely suppressed anger, and then transformed into a sea shark dragon.

He carefully put the injured sea bream into his mouth, then moved closer to Hera and the spirit shark.

The shark leaped behind her and sat down without saying a word. Hera scratched her head, feeling a little embarrassed, and then sat down as well.

The shark's thick tail began to sway, and it slowly swam towards its home with a bunch of 'passengers' on its back.
