Coco, panting heavily, staggered to the meeting point. By then, quite a few people had already arrived, all sorts of people standing there casually, without any semblance of a formation.
Coco looked around and finally spotted Hera standing straight at the very front of the line.
She really wanted to go up and stand with Hera and ask her why she hadn't died from the fall, but seeing the murderous looks in the eyes of the instructors in the front row, she could only obediently stand at the end of the line.
A few minutes later, everyone had arrived.
Chief Instructor Li Hu looked at the two hundred or so people standing there like a pile of loose sand, and couldn't help but roar.
"Look at what you're standing there for! You look like a bunch of damn puppet soldiers!"
"Heh..." A soft laugh suddenly came from the group, then stopped abruptly, as if someone had covered his mouth.
Instructor Li Hu frowned, then continued shouting.
"I'm absolutely right! In your current state, let alone protecting our country, you wouldn't even be able to defend yourselves against alien species!"
Some people in the audience began to show displeasure.
"I know! Among these people, some have entered here because they possess powerful superpowers, some have unparalleled martial arts skills, or some other special reason."
but!
From this moment forward, you have only one identity: recruits!
He's a newbie!
It's garbage!
"They're trash!"
The people below the stage had different expressions. Some were deep in thought, some were watching the spectacle as if it were a show, and some were just standing there silently. But the vast majority of the new recruits looked extremely grim.
After all, those who can get into this place, if not exceptionally talented, must possess extraordinary skills, yet the instructors dismissed them as worthless, which is hard not to be angry about.
Hera stood at the front of the line, facing the instructor's mockery without any reaction. She still didn't quite understand why the others were angry.
Instructor Li Hu raised an eyebrow slightly and chuckled coldly twice.
"Why do you all look so dissatisfied?"
"Yes, we refuse to accept this!"
"I disagree!"
"I disagree!"
"I give up! Ouch!" The white-haired boy was hit again.
Instructor Li Hu watched all of this, seemingly having anticipated it.
"Since you're not convinced, let's play a game to make you submit!"
Instructor Li Hu called the four instructors behind him forward, and together with himself, the five instructors stood on top of each other, exuding a powerful aura unique to soldiers.
The previously boisterous crowd immediately fell silent, clearly stunned by the sheer force of the moment.
Hera looked up at the five instructors. The aura they exuded was familiar to her, similar to the aura Liu Xiaogang had exuded when they sparred, except that the instructors' aura was stronger and more authoritative.
"The rules of this game are very simple. It starts at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m. During this time, our five instructors will take turns 'hunting down' you and eliminating you."
If none of you are eliminated by the end of the time limit, you will be considered to have passed; if you are eliminated, you will be considered to have failed.
Instructor Li Hu then took out a string of bells and held them in his hand.
"If you can get a bell from me within this time and are not eliminated by the end of the time, then you will be considered excellent!"
This score will affect your future grades and whether you can become a Night Star!
After saying that, all five instructors tied a string of bells around their waists.
Hera looked closely and saw that each instructor had five bells on his waist. Five people would have twenty-five bells, which meant that at most, only twenty-five people could be judged as excellent.
"Wait, this isn't fair!" a new recruit suddenly spoke up from the crowd.
“Each of your instructors is at least at the ‘King’ level. We, a bunch of ‘rising stars,’ might not even be able to escape, let alone take the bells from you!”
Li Hu smiled and pressed the button on the string of bells, instantly suppressing much of the aura he emitted.
"This bell is no ordinary bell, but a [strange artifact] used to suppress strength. This [strange artifact] can reduce the wearer's strength by an entire realm."
My current cultivation level has been suppressed to the 'high-level' level.
The other instructors did the same; pressing a button on their bells instantly suppressed their own power to the 'high-level'.
"Do you still think it's unfair?" Li Hu looked at the crowd below the stage.
The new recruits below the stage looked at each other and began to discuss in hushed tones. Although these five instructors were still "high-level" even if they lowered their cultivation level, there were still more than two hundred of them!
With so many people, even if each one of them spat on the instructors, it would be enough to drown all five instructors.
The new recruits all thought it was feasible and began to get eager to try it.
Seeing that the recruits had no objections, Instructor Li Hu took a deep breath and then shouted in a strong voice, "The game begins now!"
Whoosh—!
As soon as Chief Instructor Li Hu finished speaking, several figures instantly withdrew from the main force and rushed in all directions.
Hera was among them.
Xinglan had mentioned this game, where the recruit training camp officially began, to Hera more than once.
He then passed on all his experience to Hera, and Hera remembered none of it.
"Hey, Hera, why are you running?" Coco, who was standing in the group, saw Hera dart away and hurriedly followed without thinking twice.
