"Wow, Dad, you bought so many delicious things!"
"My little darling wanted it, so look, Daddy bought lots of hamburgers and fried chicken!"
"Yay! Fried chicken!"
Nono excitedly took one of the bags and awkwardly placed it on the table.
"Honey, you're back."
Dela also smiled and went forward to greet him, giving her husband a big hug.
"Honey, you've worked so hard, taking care of the kids after such a long day at work."
The man smiled and hugged her back, wanting to kiss Dela's face, but she shyly pushed him away.
"We have guests..."
"ah?"
The man looked at the sofa in surprise, and his eyes met those of Hera, who was sitting there.
He trembled violently, his eyes darting between Hera and his family.
Finally, a slow smile appeared on his face.
"Hello, Hera, my name is Noah, nice to meet you again."
Hera scratched her head. "I remember you're from Atan. How come he's living in America?"
"Sigh... It's all because of that mess. I couldn't stay there any longer, so I had to come to America to spend my old age."
Noah sighed helplessly in response.
"Oh, oh." Hera immediately understood; it was her fault.
"You two still know each other?"
Dela looked surprised when she saw that the two seemed to know each other.
Noah smiled and nodded. "Yes, I met him in Atan before I was transferred to another post."
"Oh my, we really are destined to meet. Come on, let's have a meal together."
Dela took the bag from Noah's other hand and placed it on the dining table.
Their son, Nono, was already jumping up and down with anticipation.
"Mom and Dad, hurry up, I want a hamburger!"
"Alright, alright, you little glutton!"
Dela smiled and patted Nono's head, then took out the still-warm beef burger, fried chicken, fries, family bucket, and cola from the bag.
My mouth watered just looking at Nono.
Noah moved four stools around the dining table. "Hera, come and eat with us. We probably can't finish all this."
"Yes, Sister Hera, come quick!"
Nono waved her little hand to call Hera over.
"Oh." Hera nodded and casually sat down in a chair.
The family of three also sat down around the table.
"Daddy, Daddy, hamburger!"
"Okay, here you go, your favorite beef burger."
Noah handed a steaming hot beef burger to Nono, his eyes full of doting affection.
"Awoo~"
Nono couldn't wait to take a bite, getting food all over her face.
"Haha, eat slowly, look at you, you're all covered in puffs."
Dela smiled and took out a tissue to wipe Nono's little face clean.
"Hera, don't be shy, you should eat too."
Noah took out a chicken burger and handed it to Hera, who took it expressionlessly and took a bite.
happiness.
Looking at the happy family of three in front of her, those two words came to Hera's mind.
A lovely son, a gentle and virtuous wife, and a husband who cares for his family and is successful in his career.
If there's a universal answer to happiness, it must be this family.
His overflowing happiness even infected Hera, giving her a strange feeling.
The table full of food was quickly devoured. For some reason, Hera ate very little this time, just like an ordinary young girl.
With ketchup still on her lips, Nono leaned back in her seat with a happy expression, patting her bulging little belly contentedly.
"Thank you, Mom and Dad, I'm so full!"
His adorable, goofy appearance made Noah and Dela chuckle.
"Oh, right."
Noah looked at Hera as if he had suddenly remembered something.
"By the way, I don't know why you came to our house, Hera. Is there anything we can help you with?"
Noah asked this question, and Dela immediately leaned close to his ear to explain.
After listening to his wife's explanation, Noah nodded slightly.
After a brief silence, he looked deeply at his wife, who had been with him for half his life.
“I understand, Hera is the one I was talking about.”
Dela was stunned for a moment, then covered her mouth in shock, her eyes turning red at a visible speed.
Hera sensed something was wrong and stared intently at the group.
Dela's lips parted as if she wanted to say something, but in the end she just forced out a smile and nodded.
"Okay... I'll take Nuonuo back to her room to rest first. You two can continue your conversation."
"Let's go, Nuonuo, we won't bother Daddy."
Okay~
Dela picked up Nono and hurried away from the living room into a bedroom.
However, even after the door closed, Hera's keen ears still picked up a faint sobbing sound coming from inside.
"What do you want to do?"
Hera stared coldly at Noah, who sat opposite her, while Noah remained calm.
"By the way, you don't know my name yet, do you? My name is Noah."
Noah did not answer directly, but instead introduced himself.
"I'm asking you, what do you want to do?"
Pfft!
Hera repeated herself, and as the sound of flesh tearing rang out, two tentacles with sharp blades burst forth from her body, like bloodthirsty pythons swaying in the air.
Noah closed his eyes and sighed softly.
