Chapter 185 Monster Friends

Aikalen waved her hand downwards again.

The pixel heart changed color from red to blue, and then Fran felt a force pulling him down.

He fell heavily to the ground.

Several white pixelated spears suddenly appeared all around, aiming at Lan Ci.

Fortunately, these long-range flying creatures were not fast, and Fran managed to get up and dodge them.

Looking at that red pixelated heart, a thought arose.

The surging sword energy intertwined like silk, forming a net composed of gaps in the sword energy.

Push towards that heart, while simultaneously gripping the knife in your hand and assuming a ready-to-swing stance.

There was no panic in Ekalen's eyes as she precisely controlled her heart to pass through the gaps in the sword energy.

Just as he dodged the net of sword energy, a long blade made of flesh and blood swung towards him.

The two attacks were less than 0.5 seconds apart, but Aikalen still managed to dodge the oncoming blades with extremely fast reaction speed.

However, weapons with living beings are not that simple.

The hard blade suddenly became soft, like a tentacle lashing out at a heart.

The pixelated heart immediately started flashing, and the health bar on Aikaren's panel also showed that one drop of health had been deducted.

However, after a few seconds, the deducted drop of blood automatically recovered.

'So this is regeneration ability? Pretty good, it can automatically regenerate health.'

Just as Fran was about to continue his attack, Ekaren raised his hand to stop him.

"I think that's enough. You've all seen my attacks and abilities, so let's leave it at that."

He was clearly a little embarrassed as he said this, and he looked down at Hera.

Hera nodded in agreement.

However, Hera felt that this 'ten thousand stars' was a bit too weak.

He was able to fight Fran, this "extraordinary" guy, to a standstill.

"No, wait!"

Just as Ekalen and Fran were about to stop, a voice that sounded like a game NPC came from above, and the anger in it was quite obvious.

Aikalen froze instantly, trembling as she looked up.

A female merman with dark blue skin and an extremely dashing appearance wielded a blue spear and thrust it vertically towards the pixelated heart from the air.

Aikalen's expression froze, and she easily dodged the opponent's attack.

Thump!

The blue spear pierced the ground, its immense power causing the ground to tremble slightly.

The blue merman pulled out his spear, gripped it tightly, and pointed it at Aikaren's nose with a look of utter disappointment, cursing him.

"Kid! You really are a coward, using your weak lipstick to attack others again!"

Her way of speaking was strange, it felt very much like typing, as if she typed out each word one by one, but you could also hear her tone and unique voice.

Hera sniffed it, and a look of confusion appeared in her little head.

Is this a different species? Or human? It doesn't seem like either.

This doesn't seem to be a living being.

Faced with the merman's scolding, Aikalen lowered her head somewhat embarrassed.

"Sister Yu, this isn't a real battle, it's just a friendly sparring session with your companions..."

Unlike her nervousness and stuttering when speaking to the other people, Aikaren spoke much more naturally with Sister Fish.

"A friendly spar?! A companion!"

Since that's the case, then we must go all out!

This is true respect for your companions!

Sister Fish spoke with conviction, making Fran, who was sitting next to her, feel a chill run down his spine.

"You brat! Let me teach you what real sparring is all about!"

Sister Fish raised her hand, and a blue spear appeared in the air, aimed at Fran.

Seeing that things were going badly, Aikaren quickly clicked the close button.

"Sister Yu, let's talk about it when we get back, it's not convenient now!"

The system panel in front of them disappeared, and Sister Fish and the red pixel heart also vanished from their spot in an instant.

Aikalen's body flickered twice and returned to normal.

His movements were still those of someone who had deactivated their powers.

Ekalen slowly raised her head, met Frank's terrified eyes, and quickly stood up straight.

Then, realizing what she had done, she apologized to him, "I'm sorry, I scared you."

Fran shook his head blankly. "Was that also your ability?"

Ekalen nodded slightly. "Yes, sometimes they do come out on their own, sorry."

“Them?” Thoth grasped the key word and looked at Ekalen with some doubt.

Aikalen nodded again. "They are my monster friends. They can accompany me during training and chat with me, and sometimes they come out."

The three of them were startled at the same time, as if they understood what he meant by "somewhat convenient".

But none of this is particularly convenient. Just look at the Fish Sister who came out earlier; at the very least, she has reached the peak of the 'King' rank,' and her true strength is probably 'Extraordinary.'

The other monster friends, even if their cultivation levels aren't as high as hers, aren't that much worse. Besides, if they all had different abilities, that would be incredibly powerful!

Hera was very glad that she had not chosen to defeat him and devour him, but instead recruited him.

It would be such a waste to just eat it.

For a moment, no one spoke, and the atmosphere became somewhat awkward.

The others were fine, but Aikaren seemed to be having trouble with the awkward atmosphere.

He looked down at his toes.

Gritting his teeth and mustering his courage, he spoke to the group.

"How about we head over now? It's already dark."

He pointed weakly to the sky.

The sun had completely set, the moon had not yet risen, and the entire sky was pitch black.
