Gu Yurong stood outside the courtyard for a while, calculating the time. Old Madam Yuan would be arriving soon before she stepped into Aunt Ru's room.
The room was in chaos, with maids and servants rushing around, boiling water, washing handkerchiefs, all in a flurry of activity.
On the small table on the couch, there was still a half-eaten bowl of ginseng and chicken soup.
