Chapter 13 Cultivation Technique

Chapter 13 Cultivation Technique

After much deliberation, Huang Pinjie ultimately gave up the opportunity to acquire a large amount of treasure and returned to the Fire Fox Clan.

She traded a pile of ashes from the Fire Fox Clan's treasure vault for a Phoenix Clan's and Celestial Clan's techniques, along with a promise.

The methods related to the Phoenix Clan found here are spoils of war from the battles fought by the Fire Fox Clan alongside the Golden Cauldron Palace, as all the advanced techniques related to the Phoenix Clan within have been destroyed.

The remaining methods are all heretical, such as the Phoenix Cultivation Technique, the Blood Devouring Phoenix Transformation Method, the Yin Phoenix Guidance, the Phoenix Maiden Yang Fusion Technique, and the Hundred Paths of Phoenix Blood...

The cultivation methods of the Celestial Beings were specially collected by the Fire Fox Clan to understand the methods of other races. Most of them are self-evident and commonplace. In addition, there are ancient books of unknown authenticity, fragments and incomplete chapters, which were picked up from a few ancient lands.

Huang Pinjie perfected the Fire Fox Clan's secret technique "Bewitching Hearts" in exchange for a bunch of techniques that were tantamount to garbage to the Fire Fox Clan, as well as the Fire Fox Clan's protection of Ji Rong and Ji Zhuang.

Huang Pinjie had a premonition that her time was coming to an end, which is why she was willing to let Ji Er carry her back. Or perhaps, she was already going to die, but she just refused to close her eyes.

Qing Shi Ji, Er Ji, Zhuang Ji Rong looked at the jade calf that Huang Pinjie brought back, which was as tall as a small mountain, with eyes full of admiration.

They all thought to themselves, "Sister Jie/Aunt Huang is indeed a powerful five-tailed demon cultivator. She was able to exchange such a huge number of books with such simple information."

The pile of jade was quite a sight. Ji Erji Zhuang casually picked up a piece and began to examine it with rapt attention.

Ji Rong also picked up a piece with great interest to examine it, but she couldn't understand any of the writing-like markings inside.

Ji Rong glanced at them, and the words that her eyes swept over attacked her bird brain like sharp thorns, making her bird head throb and shake like a churning sauce, as if it was about to burst out.

Huang Pinjie hadn't considered this, and by the time she did, Ji Rong had already picked it up and was reading it.

She had no choice but to close her eyes, shut down her five senses, and imagine the scene of Ji Rong's brains splattering. It took her a while before she opened her eyes again.

It took Huang Pinjie a while to calm down and look closely. She saw that Ji Rong was still sitting there perfectly fine.

Although the posture was unseemly, the mixture of fear and apprehension in the baby bird's eyes showed that she was still alive and well.

From then on, Huang Pinjie became even more convinced that Ji Rong was born a different species.

She felt that Ji Rong might not lack talent, but rather that the Phoenix genus was too decadent to adequately assess Ji Rong's current situation.

Huang Pinjie thought to herself, "This is a true mutant, a unique and rare mutant."

Ji Rong was unaware of all this. She shook her still somewhat unsteady head, feeling nauseous, and said, "Aunt Huang, why can't I look at this jade? I only glanced at it, and I felt like a firebird was leaping into my head."

Huang Pinjie picked up the jade tablet that Ji Rong had thrown away and quickly read it for a few moments. It turned out that it contained the famous dual cultivation method, "Phoenix Maiden Yang Fusion Technique".

Huang Pinjie put it back into the jade mountain and said with a sneer, "This was left behind by a sleazy fire phoenix. It's better not to look at it."

Then she quickly reminded her, "Ji Rong, you can't look at your body before it becomes intelligent. If it were any other bird, its head would have exploded just now."

Ji Rong was stunned and asked, "Why is that?"

Huang Pinjie sighed, "The true incantation of the Phoenix Clan is engraved on this. It requires the Phoenix Clan to use spiritual power or primordial energy to draw it out and counteract its power."

You haven't awakened your intellect, so you can't draw in vital energy to protect your body, which is why you can't see it. But your brother has awakened his intellect and opened his meridians, so he can see it.

Although Ji Zhuang could see, he couldn't understand most of it at all. Ji Er and Qing Shi were slightly better than Ji Zhuang, but only slightly better.

For the first time, Ji Rong directly experienced the difficulties of learning among all races, and sighed inwardly, no wonder their cultivation was so difficult.

If one has average talent, no family protection, and no inheritance, wouldn't one remain illiterate even after a lifetime of cultivation? Ji Rong couldn't help but reminisce about the ease with which she acquired knowledge in those hazy memories.

After listening to Ji Rong's reminiscences in private, Huang Pinjie said sarcastically, "Then how come you managed to exhaust yourself after learning so much?"

All races revere strength; without strength, what's the point of studying?

Ah Rong, those with ability aren't necessarily academically inclined, but those who understand how to study definitely possess ability.

Huang Pinjie's words silenced Ji Ronggan once again.

When the world closes one window for you, it will surely close all the other doors and windows as well, so you can easily find another way to go.

Undeniably, the image that Ji Rong envisioned was very similar to the Celestial Race created by the legendary ancestral goddess Nuwa.

When Huang Pinjie was in the Fire Fox Clan, she accompanied the Third Miss Gu Qingqing to study. The book clearly recorded that after the ancestral goddess Nuwa was born from the origin of the universe, she divided the world into two. Then she divided her authority and transformed into several ancestral gods to continue creating the world.

However, this work was arduous, so some of these ancestral gods would directly allocate some of their authority to create things; others would use their own flesh and blood, or with the help of heavenly treasures, to create many lives that resembled themselves to share the work.

The beings created by these ancestral gods were later called the first generation of ancient gods. These ancient gods were born with wisdom and power, and they held certain clear authority, all working for the ancestral gods.

There was once a goddess named Nuwa who, while busy with her work, suddenly felt the loneliness of the world. So she took inspiration from the appearances of the ancient gods and used the remaining celestial stones from after mending the sky to carefully sculpt them, creating celestial beings.

The celestial beings are born powerful, yet they are not adaptable.

They caused much irreversible damage to the earth, much to the distress of the ancestral gods.

So Nuwa went to great lengths to capture these celestial beings, crush them to pieces, mixed them with mud and water, and recreated them.

Perhaps due to the addition of mortal mud and water, the creatures obtained this time were weaker and much more intelligent than the previous batch. They possessed wisdom and were capable of cultivation, but most had limited natural talent.

Those with good aptitude were selected, granted certain authority, and became minor gods to work for themselves and the ancient gods under their command.

Those with poor aptitude migrated out and formed the Celestial Race.

Among these are some minor deities, whose sole responsibility is to fill the mountains and rivers with life and ensure their smooth operation.

One day, a god, in a fit of cleverness, thought that carving each stone individually was too time-consuming, so he washed the large bowl that Nuwa had used to crush the stones.

He mixed the water from the washing bowl with a lot of river mud and soil, picked up a branch and blew in a breath of life; with a flick, a bunch of life forms that freely changed shape filled the mountains, rivers and lakes.

And so came all races.

Some clay samples were made from a limited amount of material, resulting in shapes that inevitably fell short of expectations, such as the "human figure" from Hezhou.

They were a group of hunchbacked, hairless monkeys whose bodies could hardly bear spiritual energy. They had no fur to protect them from the cold, no sharp claws or teeth, no strong physique, and no possibility of seizing power.

They lived like parasites in this world, at the bottom of all races.

In this world of abundant resources and where strength reigns supreme, they have always been at the bottom of the food chain.

Humans, though roughly similar to celestial beings, are as different from celestial beings as heaven and earth, despite the slight difference in their names.

Therefore, when Ji Rong said that she was a human being, Huang Pinjie's first reaction was that it was impossible.

Therefore, Huang Pinjie, who had seen Ji Rong's appearance in the illusionary realm of the mind, firmly believed that the past life Ji Rong spoke of was most likely a fragment of a celestial being of a high status in the torrent of time.

Although Huang Pinjie knew very well that it was impossible for "everyone to be equal" or "everyone to study history" in the Celestial Race, which had long since fallen to the status of one of the myriad races, she still did not know how to rationalize Ji Rong's situation in her heart.

Huang Pinjie thought to himself, "Perhaps, Ji Rong is a naturally born alien species from another world; or perhaps, she was just born with a hallucinogenic disease from the egg and became an acquired alien species."

But regardless of Ji Rong's past, now, she and Ji Zhuang are the hope and future of these three old men.
