Chapter 230 Stopping the Chaos

Chapter 230 Stopping the Chaos

Ji Rong also took out a set of armor he had obtained before, put it on, and then took out four knives and two whips. He and Shan Wu each wore them on their bodies. Without lingering, they headed to the unloading workshop.

The butchering workshop was in complete chaos. Liao Gang and Bao Wu were dead, and Shan Ershi and Ji Ershiyi had disappeared. The other butchers and servants were all restless and had split into three factions within a single day, and they were even fighting each other.

When Ji Rong and Shan Wu left, they only destroyed one slaughterhouse.

Now, the entire unloading workshop, except for the place where the teleportation array is located, is rotten. Pigeon Ten has even gone mad. He transforms into a magic pigeon and circles in the air, catching cultivators and sucking their blood.

"What a great opportunity!" Ji Rong exclaimed in her heart. She happily whispered to Shan Wu, "Uncle, let's skin them alive."

Shan Wupian looked at Ji Rong, thought for a moment and said, "Nephew, could you leave Hu Shiba and Jiao Shiwu with us? I think they are quite honest."

Ji Rong nodded and said, "As long as they don't play any tricks, we'll keep them."

"Alright!" Hearing that he was about to be skinned again, Shan Wu felt all his fatigue vanish. He excitedly wagged his tail and asked, "Nephew, what's next?"

Ji Rong knelt down to the side and said, "Uncle, wait patiently. I'll let you go first, then you can go."

Upon hearing this, Shan Wu nodded repeatedly and lay motionless beside Ji Rong.

Ji Rong stared at the pigeon in the air. This bird was no good either way, so it was best to deal with it as soon as possible.

However, before they could make a move, an unfamiliar silver dragon cultivator flew into the air and knocked the pigeon down, then swiftly strangled it on the spot.

Four cultivators, bearing the insignia of the Qilou sect and carrying house-shaped magical artifacts on their backs, approached from the ground. They placed the house-shaped artifacts at the unloading area and then performed hand seals.

Before long, an identical unloading workshop was erected in the original location. The four cultivators took their tools off their backs, some securing the corners of the workshop, while others set up a protective array on the spot.

The butcher servants in the unloading workshop, who had been fighting amongst themselves in three separate factions, immediately stopped fighting upon seeing the arrival of these five cultivators.

After killing Pigeon Ten, the four-clawed old silver dragon placed him upright on the ground. It then retrieved the remains of Liao Gang and Leopard Five from the ruins and neatly arranged them beside Pigeon Ten.

The old silver dragon's hair was all dry and yellowish-white, with layers of wrinkles around his eyes, and the antlers on his head were broken off, showing no sign of regrowth. He seemed unable to believe the sight. After carefully examining the corpse, he gathered his spiritual energy and roared, "Who killed Liao Gang? And who chopped up Leopard Five? Come out now!"

Ji Rong hesitated for a moment, then exchanged a glance with Shan Wu before they both stepped out.

When the old silver dragon saw Ji Rong come out, the majesty of a saint immediately appeared. He pointed at Ji Rong with one claw and roared, "This time I'm only looking for the one who killed them. You'd better get out of here."

Ji Rong tightened the grip on the three swords in her claws, stood in front of Shan Wu, and shouted, "I am Qing Ji Zi, the youngest disciple of Ling Xiao Zi. Where did you come from, you old dragon? How dare you come to our Yu Xu Palace and act so arrogantly!"

I ordered the killing of Liao Gang and Bao Wu; they deserved to die!

The old silver dragon originally intended to kill Ji Rong with a few swipes of its claws, but upon hearing Ling Xiaozhi's name, it hesitated.

So he shouted into the air, "Qingqizi, if you don't come out now, don't blame me for smashing this arrogant bird to pieces!"

"If you have the guts, then take the picture!" In the air, a colossal celestial statue appeared—it was Qing Qizi.

Qing Qizi was carrying a spirit bamboo basket on his back, and an even smaller one at his waist. He held a spirit herb hoe in one hand and scooped up Shan Wu and Ji Rong in the other, saying, "Tu Li, Qing Jizi is right. Instead of staying in the kitchen of Yaochi and being a butcher, you come to my Yuxu Palace to cause trouble and even bully my junior sister. What kind of logic is that?"

Old Silver Dragon Tu Li stared at Qing Qizi and said, "You must give me an explanation."

"An explanation?" Qingqizi chuckled sinisterly. "What kind of explanation do you want? Back then, when my apprentice was divided up and eaten, you said the unloading workshop had its own established rules. What, now that you've executed two of them, you feel sorry for them and want to change the rules?"

"Where?" Upon hearing this, Tu Li cursed inwardly that Qing Qizi was getting more and more cunning with age.

He grinned at the opportune moment, revealing a mouthful of yellow and white fangs, and pointed at Shan Wudao: "I've come to take this man up for a look. If he's useful, I'll make him the head of this unloading workshop."

Qingqizi, however, did not let go of Ji Rong and Shan Wu. He said, "They are not cultivators from Yaochi. Since they won according to the old custom, let them take charge. Why do we still need them to go to Yaochi?"

You wouldn't be asking them to fix your blood magic, would you?

"That won't do! My master despises heretical and unorthodox practices the most. If you take this opportunity to force Qing Ji Zi to cultivate such filthy methods, disgracing my master's reputation, where will my Jade Void Palace find justice!"

Old Silver Dragon Tu Li said, "If they don't go up, how will they know how to work in the future? Qing Qizi, are you trying to break the contract and not give us the meat?"

That won't do. The deal with the unloading workshop was agreed upon beforehand.

Upon hearing this, Qing Qizi put Ji Rong and Shan Wu down and called to the four cultivators who were working not far away, "Junior Nephew Ke Ben, come here and accompany Qing Jizi to Yaochi."

When Ke Ben heard Qing Qizi call him, he immediately turned his back.

Ke Ben was a black ape saint, covered in long black fur. He had an unusually tall and straight body, with a broad, mountain-like back full of bulging muscles, and two large, white canine teeth protruding from his mouth.

He was dressed in spiritual linen clothes, and if one only glanced at his back, one would definitely mistake him for a Celestial.

Ke Ben gripped a hammer in one claw and took an axe from a nearby cultivator with the other, slung it over his back, and then ran to Qing Qizi.

He pointed at Tu Li with a hammer and said gruffly, "Hurry up and leave, otherwise the three of them will have finished all the work. I only managed to get my master to allow me to come here with great difficulty."

Tu Li looked at this powerful ape-clan saint and didn't believe a word he said.

But Tu Li no longer had any intention to kill. He said, "Let's go. The sooner you go, the sooner you can come back." After saying that, he told Ji Rong and the others to follow him, with Ke Ben following closely behind Ji Rong.

They stepped onto the teleportation array, passed through the blood-stained circular passageway, and arrived at the small stone house. At that moment, Ke Ben couldn't stop sneezing.

Inside the stone room, the black cat cultivator opened the door and walked in quietly. He stood up and first bowed to Tu Li. Ke Ben, who was following behind, also bowed. Then he said, "The owner of the Delicacies Pavilion has been waiting for a long time. You should go quickly."

Old Silver Dragon Tu Li then led Ji Rong and the others through the long stone house. Only then did Ji Rong realize that the stone house was not the house she had thought it was, but a square passageway for walking.
