Chapter 93 Dejected Wind Island (Part Two)

Chapter 93 Dejected Wind Island (Part Two)

As she reached out to pluck the roots, she saw a beautiful bird, as lovely as a phoenix, suddenly emerge from the top.

With its eyes closed, the bird flicked its wing at the tiny Ji Rong, who immediately fell to the ground.

Sitting on the ground, Xiao Ji Rong cried out in grief and indignation, "That's my body!"

The little bird, with its eyes closed, didn't look at her. It nestled comfortably on top of Ji Rong's head and pecked downwards.

Ji Rong had no choice but to climb up the roots, but the little bird with its eyes closed was fierce. Whenever Ji Rong climbed up, it would brush her down.

Ji Rong was so angry under the tree that she gritted her teeth and had an instant urge to cut it down.

She gnawed off the roots one by one, and only when the bright feathers inside were revealed did she belatedly realize that this was her own body.

With that thought, she merged into it, entering a spiritual realm.

On the altar grows a towering tree, its top invisible. Looking down from the altar, the spirit lake below seems to be gushing forth, its water level slowly rising until the bottom is nowhere to be seen.

A three-headed dragon poked its head out to examine little Ji Rong, then disappeared again, and Ji Rong began to play there.

As soon as the three-headed dragon popped its head out, she would playfully wave her hands and splash water on it. The three-headed dragon was also clever and soon started splashing water on Xiao Ji Rong as well.

Its three heads sprayed water at the same time, drenching Ji Rong completely.

Unable to defeat her, Xiao Ji Rong ran up a tree. She climbed up the tree, climbing and climbing, not knowing how long she had been climbing, when suddenly she saw a fragrant Dao Pill covered with inscriptions above her.

"It must be delicious!" Little Ji Rong thought to herself, tilting her head, and then scrambled up the hill.

The endless sky above is dangerous; a large, sharp beak, like a bird's, is constantly pecking downwards.

Little Ji Rong hid herself under the leaves, licking the Dao Dan fruit piece by piece. The more she licked, the bigger she became. After finally swallowing the Dao Dan, Little Ji Rong patted her belly contentedly, hugged the leaves, and went to sleep.

A bird with its eyes closed suddenly flew down and cried out angrily at Ji Rong.

Ji Rong looked up at the bird, slapped it down, and the little bird chirped pitifully around the tree. Finally, it stopped on the first leaf and remained motionless, like a mark.

Ji Rong continued climbing upwards, and when she saw a patch of light, she thought that she should be able to get out now.

In the blink of an eye, she found herself sitting atop that head full of roots, with the seven leaves below moving without any wind.

Ji Rong sat there, worrying about how to return to her bird form, when she suddenly felt a suction force pulling her in; when she opened her eyes again, she was already suspended high in a spiritual platform.

She quickly looked outside and saw a sapling taking root in front of her. She looked down at herself and saw that she had all her colorful feathers, wings, claws, and feet.

Looking out, she saw her face blur again, and she was back inside her root-covered body.

A thought flashed through her mind, and she wanted to become that little girl with black hair again, so she transformed into a little girl sitting atop the tree trunk. She thought about the sapling, and it sprang up from the ground.

"Amazing!" Ji Rong thought to herself. She closed her eyes, focused her mind, and manifested her tree body, bird body, and Dharma body.

The abundant spiritual energy made Ji Rong tireless. Sometimes she would transform into a little girl and run to the side, and other times she would return to her bird form and fly around.

"The environment changes with the mind! What a stroke of luck!" Ji Rong couldn't help but praise in his heart.

She already understood that her mind was like a space, where things inside could come out, but could things outside come in?

Ji Rong transformed into a little girl once more. She bent down, plucked a leaf, and focused her thoughts on her inner spiritual platform.

In a flash, she was back in her mind's eye, and the leaf in her hand was gone. When she went out to look for it, the leaf fell to the ground beneath her.

It doesn't matter if I can't bring anything in, Ji Rong thought to herself, "The spiritual energy here is abundant, far superior to anything outside."

Can I simultaneously manifest three bodies and control them all at once?

Ji Rong acted immediately upon thinking of it. She transformed into three bodies: a tree body to absorb spiritual energy, and a bird body and a celestial body to drive forward.

But Ji Rong was completely unable to move her bird body or celestial body. Just thinking about it made her feel as if she was being torn apart.

She was utterly exhausted, both physically and mentally, and her eyes gradually dimmed.

However, her tree trunk could automatically absorb spiritual energy without her having to drive it, so she opted to use her bird form instead.

Although Ji Rong can still only control one part of the tree, she is already very satisfied with the result of being able to leave the tree trunk to absorb spiritual energy and then move freely.

She flapped her wings and walked into the mine, wanting to see how far she could get from the tree trunk.

After flying for a short while, Ji Rong felt as if there were chains on her feet, preventing her from going any further. Her mind was also no longer clear, as if she had left something in the tree trunk and had not brought it out. However, she did not want to go back this time because she heard the clanging sound of Ji Zhuang and Gu Qingqing struggling to dig for spirit crystal ore ahead.

Gu Qingqing said dejectedly as she dug, "This is too hard to dig!"

Upon hearing this, Ji Zhuang stared at the large chunk of ore he had painstakingly extracted and nodded, saying, "It's not worth it, but how did Brother Jinlong manage to mine so much?"

“His cultivation level is high,” Gu Qingqing replied as she packed the mined ore into her storage ring.

Having lost some of her senses, Ji Rong had a brilliant idea pop into her head. So she put her wings on her hips, laughed loudly at the top of the mine, and said, "Stop digging, come with me! I have a great fortune to be made!"

When Gu Qingqing and Ji Zhuang heard that Ji Rong had arrived, they couldn't believe it at all. Gu Qingqing hurriedly ran over and asked, "Weren't you staying outside? How did you get in?"

Ji Rong stood there without stepping forward, and said with a smug smile, "Come with me, and you'll see."

Upon reaching the mine entrance, Ji Rong pointed to a seedling and said, "See that? That's me."

Having said that, she had a thought and transformed back into a bird-tree, then into a little girl, and then into a large, swirling bird, leaving the little tree and the little girl in the same place.

The big bird beckoned to the little girl, and she flew into its body.

"Impressive, isn't it?" Ji Rong, who had regained her freedom after merging with the Celestial Body, raised her beak and smiled smugly.

"Amazing!" Gu Qingqing and Ji Zhuang both praised him.

"I just can't go very far." Ji Rong said with a mix of joy and worry. "When I call you, that's the furthest I can go."

Gu Qingqing and Ji Zhuang roughly calculated that the distance was fifteen zhang.

Gu Qingqing lashed Ji Rong's head with her tail and said, "You've gone far enough already, be content!"

Ji Rong replied, "That's because the spiritual energy here is abundant. If we went outside, I'm afraid I wouldn't even be able to take two steps."

"Sister, you're not without legs, why do you want to separate yourself?" Ji Zhuang, who was silent, heard what Ji Rong didn't say.

Upon hearing this, Ji Rong chuckled and said, "I want to leave this tree trunk here to absorb spiritual energy, and take the bird body out. That way, we won't have to worry about cultivation supplies, and we won't have to be locked up like we're in prison like we are now."

Ji Zhuang and Gu Qingqing were both stunned by Ji Rong's idea, which was like a locust swarm passing by.

Ji Rong continued, "If I can steal this spiritual vein and carry it with me, it will be useful, so you don't need to dig it up."

At this point, she couldn't help but cover her mouth with her wing and laugh, "I think I can move this place out, and then we'll be rich."

Gu Qingqing felt that Ji Rong was completely out of her mind and no longer lucid.

She moved all five tails at once, lashing at Ji Rong repeatedly, saying as she did so, "Behave yourself. Think before you speak. You took away the spirit crystal mine, so what are you doing leaving this tree trunk here? Are you going to use it as firewood for the Wu tribe?"

Do you remember what you said before you came in? You're here to cultivate the spiritual veins. If the spiritual crystal mines here yield less than 90% next year, your arm will be torn apart by the golden dragon.

After saying that, Gu Qingqing pulled Ji Zhuang up and walked into the mine, saying, "Your sister will not be smart once she manifests her three forms."

"Let's hurry and dig up more, otherwise next year we won't even have enough spiritual energy to support her recovery from her broken wings, and we'll have to think about how we'll survive after we're kicked out of the Witch Clan!"

Ji Zhuang nodded, and the fox and the bird, claws in hand, headed towards the mine.

"Am I not smart?"
