"Little Pear, what flavor do you want to drink?"
Zhou Yang quickly set up the tools and ingredients for making milk tea.
"It's the one you made last time, called 'silk stocking milk tea,' right? It was delicious." Xiaoli said, looking on with anticipation as she prepared to watch how the milk tea was made.
I definitely still prefer this flavor.
Zhou Yang thought for a moment and said, "We're out of ingredients for the Hong Kong-style milk tea. How about we try a new flavor today?"
“Okay, let’s try the new flavor.” Shen Li nodded.
She propped her elbow on her hand and rested her chin on her hand, watching Zhou Yang curiously as he brewed, filtered, boiled, and mixed the tea. He then added pear juice, honey, and tapioca pearls. In no time, a fragrant cup of milk tea was ready.
She picked it up, took a sip, squinted her eyes, puffed out her cheeks, chewed a few times, and then swallowed it with relish, her expression extremely happy.
"This is so delicious, it even has a subtle pear flavor, so good!"
Zhou Yang smiled and said, "This is specially made for you; it's called Pear Milk Tea."
Shen Li was even happier, and she held the cup up to Chu Yang, asking him to try it.
Chu Yang was texting with Lou Chunyue when he opened his mouth and took a sip: "Mmm, delicious."
"Who are you texting with?" Little Pear asked.
"Sister Chunyue, let's discuss some company matters." Chu Yang said without changing his expression.
Zhou Yang handed him a cup of milk tea and said, "The bar can open after the holiday."
Chu Yang took it: "Oh? The progress has sped up, that's good."
"What about the publicity?" Zhou Yang poured himself a cup of tea and sat down on the sofa.
"Didn't I say? Zhou Xianglun's fan meeting is already scheduled for the 12th of this month," Chu Yang said.
Little Pear got excited first.
Zhou Xianglun is the idol she has always wanted to meet.
"I'll give you a chance to give Alan a close hug later, how about it?" Chu Yang said with a smile.
"Really?" Little Pear's eyes lit up, then she shook her head: "I'd rather not hug him, just shake hands, get an autograph, and take a photo. I'm already very satisfied to see him sing up close!"
Zhou Yang was stunned and asked, "You really invited Zhou Xianglun?"
Chu Yang said firmly, "I've already told you, I'm Zhou Xianglun's boss, and you still don't believe me."
Zhou Yang looked him up and down: "...I still don't believe it. He's the little king of Taiwan Province."
Chu Yang had mentioned this more than once, but she always felt it was too fantastical, and this guy didn't seem like a celebrity boss at all.
Chu Yang didn't explain further: "You'll believe it when he appears in front of you."
Then he said, "Have you bought any groceries? I'll cook dinner for you."
"It's in the refrigerator." Zhou Yang put down her teacup, stood up, and said, "Let me help."
"I'll help too!" Little Pear, who had never cooked before, volunteered.
So the three of them squeezed into the kitchen together, and after a while...
call out!
While washing vegetables, Xiao Lizi accidentally sprayed Zhou Yang with water from the tap...
"Wow." Chu Yang stared straight ahead at Zhou Yang, who was soaking wet, as if he could hear the saxophone music playing in the background. He secretly praised Xiao Lizi for her amazing assist.
"Oh, Sister Zhou Yang, I'm so sorry!" Little Pear quickly grabbed a tissue to wipe her face.
"No need to wipe it, I'm going to change my clothes!" Zhou Yang said, both amused and exasperated. She glared at Chu Yang and hurriedly ran out of the kitchen.
Little Pear gave up washing the vegetables and picked up a kitchen knife: "Let me chop the vegetables?"
Chu Yang quickly snatched the knife away: "Let me do it. I'll feel bad if you cut yourself."
Little Pear blinked: "Then what should I do?"
"You're in charge of eating," Chu Yang said, patting her head with a smile. "Then praise me for cooking well."
Little Pear smiled and said, "This is something I'm good at."
"Then go watch TV." Chu Yang pecked her on the lips.
Just then, Zhou Yang walked over, and Xiao Lizi blushed, lowered her head, and ran out.
Zhou Yang snorted twice and glared at Chu Yang again.
But then this guy suddenly leaned over and pecked her on the lips.
"Ah, you!" Zhou Yang was both angry and embarrassed. She quickly turned around and saw that Shen Li hadn't noticed, so she reached out and pinched her.
Chu Yang remained expressionless and dared not utter a sound.
"Have you been home these past two days?" he asked.
"...I'm back, and my dad is back too, but I refused the blind date he arranged, and he didn't say anything." Zhou Yang seemed to be in a good mood when she mentioned this.
As Chu Yang cut the meat, he nodded and said, "I'm relieved that you're not going."
"What are you worried about?" Zhou Yang scooped the vegetables out of the sink and grumbled, "Without me, you'll have fewer worries. Keeping this up is tiring, even for me."
Chu Yang chuckled and said, "I'm not tired at all. My body can handle it, more than enough."
Zhou Yang realized what was happening and pinched him again.
"I wasn't talking about that kind of thing!"
Turning to look outside, I saw Shen Li watching TV with great interest.
She whispered, "Xiao Li is here. How are you going to keep me company tomorrow? If not, that's fine. We can find another time."
Chu Yang smiled slightly: "I will come to see you again tomorrow morning."
Zhou Yang fell silent, letting out a soft sigh.
I felt I shouldn't do it, but I couldn't control my heart.
Before long, Chu Yang finished cooking the dishes and served three dishes and a soup on the table.
A winter melon and pork rib soup, a slightly spicy Mapo tofu, a celery stir-fry with pork, and a braised fish.
Little Pear filled three bowls with rice and sat obediently at the table, waiting for Chu Yang and Zhou Yang to sit down.
"Eat up." Chu Yang picked up a piece of fish for her and said gently, "Be careful of the fish bones."
Little Pear took a bite of the fish, her eyes crinkling into crescent moons as she exclaimed, "Delicious!"
Then they continued to try other dishes, praising Chu Yang as a master chef.
Little Pear isn't a picky eater; she eats celery without hesitation and can eat many strange-tasting foods, such as fermented bean juice, stinky tofu, and even houttuynia cordata, all of which she enjoys.
