"I told you not to bring any gifts," Li Qingshu said softly.
Zhang Xiaoyu smiled and said, "It's alright, Shuer. This is a kind gesture from my good classmate. Thank you, Chu Yang and Da Chun. Auntie really likes the gift. Please sit down, have some snacks and a cup of tea."
Chu Yang and Han Dachun responded and sat down at the stone table.
"Wow, this food is so exquisite!" Han Dachun exclaimed.
On the stone table were various exquisite pastries, as well as candied fruits of various flavors, and even the tea was served in a blue and white porcelain covered bowl.
The surrounding gardens and courtyards make one feel as if they are in an ancient scene.
Both of them felt that wearing an ancient scholar's robe would be more appropriate for the occasion.
Chu Yang picked up the covered bowl and took a sip of tea.
"So, Chu Yang, do you like this tea? Or would you like a beverage?" Zhang Xiaoyu asked with a smile.
"No need, Auntie, I love tea the most." Chu Yang said, taking another sip, his face full of delight: "Mmm, good tea."
Han Dachun didn't understand either, so he could only follow his lead: "Me too!... Hmm, good tea!"
Amused, Zhang Xiaoyu said to Li Qingshu, "Shu'er, you entertain your classmate, and Mom will go cut some more fruit."
After saying that, he glanced at Chu Yang again, then left the pavilion with a smile.
Li Qingshu sat down next to Chu Yang, feeling somewhat nervous and awkward, and occasionally stealing glances at him.
Chu Yang, on the other hand, remained calm and composed, sipping tea and eating pastries.
This arrangement made it seem as if the young lady was the one who had come to visit, as if she were in her own home.
Han Dachun looked on with admiration and secretly gave him a thumbs up.
After a while, Wenjing, Lianhua, and Ding Lei arrived, and their arrival immediately made the scene much more lively.
"Please feel free to eat and chat, don't be shy," Zhang Xiaoyu said with a smile as she brought over a plate of sliced fruit.
"Thank you for your hard work, Auntie. Please sit down and have something to eat with us," Chu Yang said.
"I won't disturb your gathering of young people any longer. You can continue chatting. If you need anything, just let Shuer call." Zhang Xiaoyu said as she walked out of the pavilion.
As she passed by the artificial hill, she saw Li Yanbai peeking around. She walked over and said irritably, "What are you doing? If you want to look, just go and look."
Li Yanbai frowned: "That kid is Chu Yang? Why does he look so familiar?"
Seeing the dog tied up in the yard, he suddenly slapped his thigh: "I remember now, it's that kid with fifty million!"
