Chapter 149 Meeting with Hua Yang Offline

The bar was dimly lit to begin with, and Zhou Yang's vision was a bit blurry from drinking.

The figure in front of me was blurry and I couldn't make out its outline.

Moreover, upon closer inspection, it became clear that the guy was wearing a hat and a mask.

She was stunned. Was it him?

But if it's that damn monkey, there's no need to hide it like this when you meet him.

Is he an ugly monster?

But his figure doesn't seem to match.

He was at least 1.8 meters tall, neither fat nor thin, just like the perfect man in her imagination.

Her heart started racing, and she felt uneasy.

The man came up to her and his gaze fell on her.

There was no one else to see; she was the only one in the bar.

Zhou Yang remained silent, waiting for the guy to speak.

"Aisin Gioro Huayang?"

"...Lianhua Qingwen capsules?"

The code was matched.

"You damn monkey!" Zhou Yang grinned.

After chatting online for several days, she habitually chuckled and cursed.

"Hey kid, are you drunk?" Chu Yang imitated a Northeastern accent, deliberately lowering his voice.

As Chu Yang, he didn't have much contact with Zhou Yang to begin with, and now that his face is covered, he probably won't recognize him so quickly.

"I'm not in a good mood." Zhou Yang's smile slowly faded. She picked up her glass, swirled it, and raised her eyes. "Everyone says that men from Northeast China are really good at drinking. Want to have a few drinks with me?"

“Okay.” Chu Yang sat down in front of her.

Zhou Yang poured a glass of whiskey and placed it in front of him.

"I've shown you everything. Aren't Northeastern men all straightforward and honest? Why are you trying to hide it?"

"I'm ugly."

"Science what?"

"He's just ugly."

Zhou Yang chuckled, then picked up his wine glass: "How can you drink if you don't take off your mask?"

Chu Yang raised his glass and clinked it against hers: "This is no challenge for me."

As he spoke, he brought the cup to his lips, and under Zhou Yang's strange gaze, a horizontal tear appeared in his mask, making him look like a big-mouthed beast.

Then he drank it all in one gulp.

“You… this is okay, haha…” Zhou Yang laughed so hard he covered his stomach.

"Haha... I'm even more certain now that you're that dead monkey. This is hilarious, haha..."

Chu Yang raised his hand to straighten his mask and calmly said, "Basic procedure, nothing fancy."

This skill of eating and drinking through a mask is something that people who didn't experience the pandemic wouldn't understand.

Zhou Yang paused in laughter, blinked, and asked, "What does 'basic operations without six' mean?"

Chu Yang explained seriously: "Although my behavior is incredibly awesome, it's just basic stuff for me. You don't need to make such a fuss. Take back your '666' a bit."

Zhou Yang blinked again, his expression blank and dazed, as if he had never seen anything like it before: "Four words, yet they contain so many meanings!"

Then she asked, "What does '666' mean?"

"It's also internet slang, used to quickly and easily praise others. It's in the same category as 555, 886, and 233," Chu Yang said.

"What is 233?" Zhou Yang continued to ask.

"Mop.com's 233rd emoticon is a laughing emoticon that's shown while pounding the ground, used to express laughing heartily."

"Ha ha……"

"Yes, that's exactly how you are."

Zhou Yang finally stopped laughing, clutching his stomach and panting, "You silly monkey, I thought you were funny enough online, but I didn't expect you to be this funny in real life too!"

"Yes, it's really fun. Everyone who's played it says it's great," Chu Yang chimed in.

Zhou Yang was taken aback, then his gaze began to look down.

Chu Yang thought to himself, "This woman is a true genius."

Zhou Yang suddenly leaned closer, her eyes sparkling with laughter, her voice soft and charming: "So, even though Yang Guo has already removed Guo Xiang's mask, you still don't intend to speak to me with your true face?"

Chu Yang looked directly into her eyes: "I'm afraid if I take it off, you'll be unable to resist hitting me."

"Haha... How ugly must you be!" Zhou Yang said, then moved closer. "But your eyes are very beautiful, and the skin on your forehead is also very nice. Can I take a look?"

As he spoke, he reached out to take off his mask.

"Sister, please have some self-respect." Chu Yang stepped back.

"You're so stingy!" Zhou Yang sat back down, then her beautiful eyes darted around, and she picked up the wine bottle and filled his glass.

Hmph, you won't let me see, huh? I'll get you drunk and see if you can hide from me then!

"Drink up, little brother from Northeast China, you can really drink."

Chu Yang picked up his wine glass and drank it down in one swift motion.

Zhou Yang smiled charmingly and drank the wine as well.

Chu Yang looked around and asked knowingly, "Sis, is this bar yours?"

Zhou Yang smiled smugly: "Yeah, how about that? Aren't you amazing, sis?"

"That's impressive." Chu Yang nodded. "But it seems like there's hardly any business. Shouldn't this be peak time for customers?"

These words seemed to hit a sore spot. Her smile vanished, and she said somewhat angrily, "So what if business isn't good? Does opening a bar mean business has to be good? I have money to open a bar for leisure, and I'm happy even if I lose money!"

Chu Yang smiled wryly and did not refute.

Zhou Yang poured himself a drink, took a sip, and looked down at the glass, his eyes hazy and dim.

“You’re all pressuring me, my parents are pressuring me, they all say I’m not doing anything productive, that I’m giving up a perfectly good PhD program to open a bar, even that guy upstairs surnamed Chu, he comes over every day asking me to transfer the bar to him, and then he said he wanted to invest and cooperate with me…”

Little did he know that the man surnamed Chu upstairs was sitting right across from him.

Seeing that she had hit the nail on the head, the man surnamed Chu tentatively asked, "Isn't investment and cooperation a good thing? It's mutually beneficial and win-win. Is it because he didn't invest enough money?"

"I know," Zhou Yang said with a self-deprecating laugh. "It's not about the money, it's just that doing this would make me seem useless."

Just as Chu Yang was about to speak, he saw her sway as she stood up.

Then, swaying her slender waist and pert buttocks, she walked over and locked the door from the inside.

Chu Yang was taken aback. Was this the prelude to closing the door and force-feeding the dogs?

Zhou Yang came over and poured more wine.

"Have you found a place to stay? If not, you can stay here with me tonight."

Chu Yang covered his chest with both hands, feigning fear: "Sister, please don't do anything rash."

Zhou Yang was amused, so she swept her shoulder-length hair back and leaned closer.

"Tell me, do I look pretty?"

Chu Yang's gaze fell on her face.

She has an oval-shaped face, phoenix eyes that are both cool and alluring, a delicate and straight nose, and full, rosy lips. When she smiles, her eyes squint, giving her an indescribable charm.

"It's beautiful, very beautiful," Chu Yang replied truthfully.

Zhou Yang smiled and asked, "Aren't you surprised to meet a beautiful woman like me online?"

Chu Yang nodded: "Indeed, it surprised me greatly."

What was surprising wasn't that Hua Yang was a beautiful woman, but that Hua Yang was actually Zhou Yang.

"So, what exactly do you mean by closing the door?"

"Are you scared?" Zhou Yang found the little brother in front of him, whom he had never met before, to be really funny.

"You're the one who should be afraid, right?" Chu Yang retorted.

Zhou Yang then placed two more bottles of wine on the table.

"I'll talk to you if you can drink!"
