"Hmph, I'll go check it myself!" Li Qingshu wrinkled her nose, picked up her schoolbag, and left.
As I left the teaching building, my steps were a little more hurried than usual.
Her home is not far from the school, and she usually walks to school.
The afternoon sun was still quite scorching. After leaving the teaching building, she opened an umbrella to block the slanting sunlight from hitting her face.
After leaving the school gate and walking for a while, a pair of slender feet appeared in front of me.

Their eyes met, and as they hesitated, Su Lingxue spoke first.
His tone was unfriendly: "Li Qingshu, what exactly is your relationship with Chu Yang?"
Li Qingshu found the question somewhat amusing, as if she were the third party involved.
Even if she and Chu Yang had no relationship, you two have already broken up, so why bother with all this?
After thinking about it, she simply said, "We're classmates."
"Classmate?" Su Lingxue clearly didn't believe it.
"Then why did he eat with you? Why did you study with him? And, he even sat on your lap!"
Li Qingshu smiled slightly and said in a light tone, "He ate with me because I lost my meal ticket; he was helping me."
"I tutored him firstly to thank him for his help, and secondly because he really wanted to study hard."
"The time I sat on your lap was an accident."
"Are you satisfied with this explanation? If not, you can just ask Chu Yang directly."
After saying that, he prepared to walk around her.
After taking a few steps, she paused and said, almost as if possessed, "I don't quite understand. Chu Yang is a very interesting guy, and he's hardworking and ambitious. Why did you break up with him?"
She regretted it as soon as she said it.

Just then, a car horn sounded.
The two turned their heads and saw a BMW parked on the side of the road.
The car window rolled down, and a young man who looked like a nobleman greeted her, "Ling Xue, I'm sorry to have kept you waiting, please get in the car!"
Su Lingxue was taken aback. She glanced at Li Qingshu, as if some secret had been discovered, and her expression was somewhat panicked.
Li Qingshu suddenly realized, "So that's why. I understand now. I really feel sorry for him."
After saying that, he turned and left without lingering.
