The young lady wore a moon-white cheongsam today, embroidered with exquisite patterns and adorned with a few peach blossoms on the chest.
Her naturally cool and elegant temperament, classic and graceful appearance, coupled with this cheongsam that perfectly accentuates her figure, make her breathtakingly beautiful even without makeup.
The only regret is that the slit in the cheongsam could have been higher.
Chu Yang had never seen her dressed like this before, and for a moment his gaze froze, staring blankly.
The young lady smiled and waved her hand in front of his eyes: "Hey, what's wrong with you?"
Chu Yang exclaimed, "Beautiful, so beautiful! Please wear this often in the future, but of course, only for me to see."
The young lady chuckled: "Dream on, come in quickly."
Chu Yang walked in, then followed her two steps behind.
The sight of her swaying, peach-shaped buttocks, tightly wrapped in a cheongsam, stirred his heart.
The two walked along, wandering through the courtyard surrounded by flowers, trees, and rockeries.
The weather was hot, but when Chu Yang arrived here, he felt as if the temperature had dropped a few degrees, and it was very cool and comfortable.
It truly lives up to its reputation as a garden mansion built using ancient methods; it must be warm in winter and cool in summer.
Inside the pavilion, Li Yanbai was playing Go with an elderly man with white hair and beard.
"Dad, Grandpa, Chu Yang is here!" Li Qingshu called out in a clear voice.
"Chu Yang, this is my grandfather!"
"Grandpa Li, Uncle Li," Chu Yang greeted them, placing the gifts down.
Li Yanbai, holding a black chess piece, frowned and looked up: "You're here. Make yourself at home. There are plenty of pastries and cigarettes on the table."
Grandpa Li looked Chu Yang up and down a few times, then chuckled and said, "Little Shu'er, is this your little boyfriend?"
Li Qingshu smiled shyly: "Yes, Grandpa, his name is Chu Yang."
Grandpa Li stroked his beard and nodded: "Hmm, not bad, a handsome young man, full of energy, a good young man. Shu'er showed me your poem, the one that says, 'A person is like a rainbow, only when you meet them do you know they exist.' Hmm, it's very well written!"
"Grandpa Li is too kind," Chu Yang said modestly.
And he was somewhat guilty, after all, it was copied.
Grandpa Li laughed heartily: "This is the best modern love poem I've seen in years, and it's even in both Chinese and English. It shows you're very talented."
“Our Shu’er likes it very much. She even wrote several pages with her brush and ink just now.”
Li Qingshu blushed immediately and said coquettishly, "Grandpa, I'm nothing like you, don't talk nonsense!"
"Alright, alright, if you don't have one, you don't have one." Old Master Li laughed heartily, then looked at the hesitant Li Yanbai: "Have you made up your mind yet? I've been waiting for you for ages. Why don't you let Shu'er come instead?"
Li Yanbai blushed: "You're disturbing me and breaking my train of thought!"
Old Master Li curled his lip: "I don't know. Following your line of thinking is a dead end, there's no hope."
Chu Yang glanced curiously at the chessboard. He knew a little about Go and could tell at a glance that Li Yanbai's black stones were about to be trapped in a dead end.
Although there are still a few moves to make and some delaying tactics to buy time, losing is only a matter of time.
"Shu'er, look at this chess game, do you have a way to solve it?" Old Master Li asked.
Li Qingshu frowned slightly, stared at the chessboard intently for a while, and then shook her head: "Grandpa, I can't do it either."
Li Yanbai chuckled: "How about it, even Shu'er can't do it."
"You have the nerve to say that? Don't you know how old Shu'er is?" Old Master Li glared at him, then looked at Chu Yang: "And you, Chu Yang, what have you figured out?"
Chu Yang pondered for a moment, then glanced at Li Yanbai.
"Don't worry about him, just go ahead and go, it's alright," said Grandpa Li.
Li Yanbai was somewhat surprised: "You really can?"
Li Qingshu also looked expectant.
Chu Yang nodded slightly and took a small black card.
Then, under their watchful eyes, he slowly placed the chess piece on an empty spot on the board.
clatter.
The crisp sound of a chess piece being placed rang out.
Li Yanbai's eyes widened suddenly, and he almost jumped up: "Holy crap, you took away twelve of my pieces in one move!"
“This…” Li Qingshu looked at the spot where she had placed her piece and fell into deep thought.
Old Master Li stroked his beard lightly, then without saying a word, he put away the twelve black stones that had been trapped.
When a large area of the board became empty, his eyes suddenly lit up.
"Okay, okay!"
Li Yanbai was taken aback: "What do you mean, 'good'?"
Old Master Li immediately got angry: "Open your eyes wide and take a good look!"
Li Qingshu suddenly exclaimed with delight, "Hei Zi is alive!"
"Huh? It's alive?" Li Yanbai was skeptical and looked at the chessboard. A few seconds later, his expression changed.
Sure enough, the black pieces, which were about to be in a dead end, were revitalized after a large area was cleared.
They would have died in just a few steps, but now they can attack or defend as they please. Although they are still at a disadvantage, they have plenty of room to continue fighting.
"Brilliant, brilliant! How come I didn't think of that!" he couldn't help but exclaim.
Grandpa Li laughed heartily: "Sacrificing the twelve sons to revitalize the whole situation—this move of cutting off the enemy's supply lines is something even I didn't expect. Brilliant, truly brilliant!"
"Shu'er, your chess skills are just like your personality. Your boyfriend is both brave and resourceful. He's not only a top scholar but also a general!"
Li Qingshu was overjoyed by the praise and no longer tried to hide it, looking at Chu Yang with eyes full of admiration and love.
"It was just luck, a lucky accident. I didn't think much about it. I just felt that since I was going to die anyway, I might as well fight to the death and try to survive," Chu Yang said modestly.
"What a desperate gamble, a narrow escape from danger!" Old Master Li praised even more.
