There were still two teams, one on the left and one on the right, running directly through the entire street.
And this was even though they arrived late, an hour after the shop opened.
"Even so, what you're saying about the line stretching to the city gate is still an exaggeration; it's simply impossible."
"Hmph, why is it impossible? You just haven't seen it before. You can ask around; the lines were incredibly long during the Mid-Autumn Festival."
Fu Wenyu didn't believe it and sent a palace maid to inquire.
Before long, the palace maid returned with news that was almost identical to what Fu Ziyu had said, or even more exaggerated.
A dozen or so distinguished gentlemen came in person, publicly demanding exorbitant prices, all for a single spot to enter the shop and buy vegetables.
This is really just selling vegetables, not some kind of elixir or rare treasure.
The little princess just thought it was outrageous.
But if it were just Fu Ziyu saying that, she could say that this older sister was exaggerating too much.
If so many people say it, it might actually be true.
She couldn't resist her curiosity and wanted to go inside the store to take a look.
However, Fu Ziyu stopped him.
"What are you doing? Don't disturb the staff while they're doing business."
"What do you mean 'disturbing'? I'm just going to see what's inside, and also that lottery you mentioned, I want to try my luck too."
"If you want to get a number, you have to wait in line, otherwise you'll get beaten up."
"Ha, who dares!"
Fu Ziyu glanced at her, "Third Uncle dares."
Upon hearing the name "Third Brother," the little girl's chest, which had just puffed out, instantly deflated.
But the little princess refused to believe it, saying, "Can't I even take a look? Won't Sister Yun's shop get smashed if it's so domineering?"
Fu Ziyu scoffed, "Who dares?"
Fu Wenyu squinted.
Taking advantage of Fu Ziyu's unpreparedness, he immediately took off running.
Fu Ziyu was startled and quickly gave chase.
"Hey, you can't go over there, come back."
The two of them were simply standing on the steps opposite the shop.
It only takes a few steps to run over there.
Fu Wenyu scurried to the store entrance in a flash.
She was small in stature and clearly a child.
The people at the front of both lines were chatting and didn't notice anything.
Fu Wenyu had already slipped through the gap between them.
They only realized what was happening then and immediately shouted.
"Hey, no cutting in line!"
"Shopkeeper, someone cut in line!"
The group stirred slightly for a moment.
The store doors were all open, and it was easy to spot as soon as you walked through the crowd.
Fu Wenyu glanced at it quickly and was immediately filled with disappointment.
It's nothing special, just plain and simple.
At that moment, a shop assistant came over.
Fu Wenyu stood with his hands on his hips, raised his head, and was about to utter a few arrogant words.
Then a dignified and familiar voice, almost etched into one's bones, rang out.
"Seventh girl, what are you doing here?"
Fu Wenyu's expression suddenly froze, and he abruptly turned his head to look at the source of the sound.
The next instant, her pupils contracted, her face turned deathly pale, as if she had seen a ghost, even more exaggerated than when she saw her third brother that day.
At this moment, Fu Ziyu also squeezed through the crowd and saw his great-grandfather at the counter, chopping vegetables while collecting money.
Startled, I was so nervous that I didn't know what to do with my hands and feet, and I stammered.
"Great-great-grandfather, I'm so sorry, I didn't take good care of my little aunt."
Upon hearing his words, Princess Fu's hands and feet began to tremble.
It's not a hallucination.
The person standing behind the counter doing the accounting, taking payments, and even helping to chop vegetables.
It turned out to be her grandfather, a man who killed without shedding blood and was a hundred times more terrifying than her third brother.
"Grandfather, grandfather."
The crowd was initially a little annoyed that the shop assistants were taking their time to get rid of the two children.
Then, after hearing how they addressed the elderly shop assistant, it dawned on me that they were all family.
Judging from the situation, the child was probably just playing around and ran off to watch the elders work.
However, the clothes worn by these two younger people appear to be made of fine materials, suggesting that they come from well-off families.
How could their grandfather have fallen so low as to work for others?
In an instant, many people had already imagined a grand family drama unfolding in their minds.
What a pity that the son, whom they have painstakingly raised, has become successful but is unwilling to support his elderly father.
The son seized power in the family and drove his father away, leaving him penniless.
Or perhaps the son, in order to seize the family property, secretly sent people to hunt down and persecute his elderly father.
Left with no other choice, the elderly father had to hide his identity and live among the common people.
Fu Yuanbo merely glanced at the two children.
He treated Fu Ziyu fairly well, his gaze lingering on him for a moment longer.
He looked at Fu Wenyu with indifference, only glancing at her before looking away.
"Don't wander off unnecessarily."
It's not that he dislikes his granddaughter, Fu Wenyu.
However, he treated all his children and grandchildren, except for his third grandson whom he raised himself, basically the same.
Fu Ziyu's feelings for Fu Ziyu stemmed from the fact that they had spent a lot of time together in the village.
Fu Wenyu froze like a stone, being dragged away by Fu Ziyu like a soulless puppet, her mind still blank.
"Okay, okay."
Fu Ziyu readily agreed and quickly pulled her out of the crowd.
The palace maids and guards who were blocked by the crowd outside breathed a sigh of relief when they saw the two young masters come out.
They are adults, and the crowd won't let them in easily.
Otherwise, there would probably be even more people who would be so scared that their legs would go weak.
Fu Ziyu ran back to the opposite roof and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Even though they had known each other for some time, his great-grandfather never lost his temper with him, and he was never as strict as his third uncle.
But Fu Ziyu was very afraid of him.
This probably stems from the fear that small animals have of wild beasts.
He turned his head and saw his aunt still staring blankly at him.
He quickly gave her a gentle push.
"Auntie, what's wrong?"
Fu Wenyu finally came to her senses.
