Chapter 9 The Crown Prince patted Ning Yin's back, coaxing her to sleep.

He was caught off guard by the situation.

This can't go on forever.

He placed the person on the bed and quickly ordered Qingying to prepare a bucket of cold water.

After Qingying finished doing all this, she was about to leave when she heard the woman on the bed emitting soft, seductive moans.

The young man, just beginning to experience romantic feelings, blushed instantly. Meeting Xiao Xuan's dark, inky eyes, Qingying tried to run away as if fleeing.

"Wait, go and call that maid in!"

"Yes, young master!"

Qingying obeyed and ran as fast as he could. This was the first time he had encountered such a situation. Over the years, he had followed his master and kept a distance of hundreds of feet from women.

Let alone a situation like today, I rarely even have the chance to talk to women.

He, a hot-blooded young man, was forced by him to become like a vegetarian monk.

That low groan just now did indeed make his blood boil.

All he saw was his master's expressionless, dark face.

Qingying was also shocked. Did His Highness the Crown Prince really have no feelings for women?

He couldn't help but worry about what would happen to the imperial heirs in the future.

If his master has been childless for many years, not only will the emperor be displeased, but what kind of wicked thoughts will the second prince have?

After Su Xin went inside, Xiao Xuan explained the situation to her and asked her to take good care of Ning Yin.

If any other situation arises, notify Qingying immediately.

After explaining everything, Xiao Xuan did not leave, but went to the pavilion and took out a long flute to play.

Qingying, standing outside, held the sword hilt with both hands, looking at Xiao Xuan in the pavilion not far away.

He sighed inwardly again, wondering how his prince could still play the flute so calmly and composedly; he was truly destined to live a lonely life.

Around 3 AM, Su Xin noticed that Ning Yin's fever had subsided, so she tried to take her out of the wooden tub.

But Ningyin, who had been soaking for an hour, was now ridiculously heavy.

Even with all her might, Su Xin couldn't manage to pull the person out.

Having no other choice, Su Xin had to call for help.

As soon as she stepped out of the door, she seemed to hear a sound of crying and begging for mercy coming from a room around the corner.

Su Xin subconsciously walked over, and through the pure white window screen, she saw Xiao Xuan standing by the window with his hands behind his back.

Following her gaze downwards, she finally saw the man who was crying and shouting.

He trembled violently and knelt at Xiao Xuan's feet.

A long sword, gleaming with cold light, was held against the man's neck.

"Your Highness, I didn't know she was your woman. If I had known, I would never have dared to make such a move."

"Please have mercy, please forgive me, spare my life."

The man kept kowtowing and begging for mercy, but Xiao Xuan did not respond.

After a long while, he turned around. The man was dressed in a blue robe and a black robe, and his deep, abyss-like eyes seemed to be covered with frost.

"Since you know you're wrong, you should accept the consequences. I'm not an unreasonable person. I will let your wife, children, and elderly parents off the hook."

Xiao Xuan's voice was indifferent, devoid of any warmth.

His gaze shifted slightly, and he spotted a dark figure outside the window.

At this moment, Su Xin was still immersed in utter shock and had no idea that she had been exposed.

If she hadn't misheard, the man kneeling on the ground called Li Xuan "Crown Prince."

The Crown Prince is the most honorable man in the Great Qi Dynasty besides the Emperor.

The next second, Qingying raised her hand and brought her knife down, blood splattering everywhere.

The man who had just been crying and begging for his parents collapsed to the ground and closed his eyes.

Su Xin gasped, almost screaming out loud.

I stumbled back two steps, only to find that I had accidentally bumped into a flowerpot behind me.

In the quiet of the night, the sound of the flowerpot shattering was exceptionally clear.

Qingying's speed far exceeded her expectations. Before Suxin could react, the man was already beside her.

Xiao Xuan walked out unhurriedly, creating distance between himself and Su Xin.

His lips curled into a cold smile, his imposing presence and innate nobility almost drove Su Xin to the brink of collapse.

Her legs buckled and she collapsed to her knees.

"You heard everything?"

His gaze was piercing, carrying a cold glint, and an aura of murderous intent surrounded him.

Su Xin didn't dare to look directly at him and pressed her head to the ground.

"This servant did not eavesdrop on purpose. Please punish me, Your Highness."

Su Xin was trembling all over, her voice trembling with sobs.

It would be a lie to say she wasn't afraid. How could a lowly servant girl with no status or position not be afraid when she saw such a distinguished man?

He was still in shock after witnessing Qingying kill someone.

Looking at Su Xin on the ground, Xiao Xuan suddenly realized that the little girl hadn't done it on purpose.

Even though she was Ningyin's maid, he shouldn't have frightened her like that.

The darkness in his eyes had faded slightly, but his tone remained cold.

"In that case, we know we should keep our mouths shut."

"Yes, this servant will keep it a secret."

"You must not reveal my identity to anyone, including Ning Yin."

"This servant understands."

After saying that, Xiao Xuan turned to leave, but suddenly stopped.

"So, how is Miss Ning now?"

Xiao Xuan's question helped Su Xin recover somewhat from her earlier panic and recall her purpose in coming out.

“My young lady’s fever has subsided, but she is too heavy for me to carry.”

"I would like to ask Your Highness for help in carrying the person out."

Su Xin spoke awkwardly, but as soon as the words left her mouth, she realized something was wrong. How could she dare to ask the Crown Prince to help her carry people?

How dare she!

Upon hearing this, Qingying, who was standing to the side, tried to rush in without saying a word.
