"You like him, don't you?" Old Master Ye hit the nail on the head.
Ye Zihan lowered her head and remained silent.
Sometimes, not responding is the best answer.
"It seems that young man has truly won your heart." Old Master Ye's eyes were sharp and discerning. "Have you two done anything intimate? You must have held hands or something."
The old man wasted his time watching short videos; his thinking is still stuck in the last era.
Holding hands? Today's young people are more direct and blunt.
Use your mouth and hands directly.
Ye Zihan blushed again.
The old man probably guessed what was going on, and then asked another bombshell question, "Have you lost your virginity?"
"Grandpa, what are you saying?" Ye Zihan asked shyly.
"Looks like you're still a bit short of time. You two have already started developing a relationship, so what's there to be shy about? What you said before about two-legged men being everywhere was all a lie."
Would you give a chance to a man you don't like?
"Self-deception!" Old Master Ye rolled his eyes.
Then he added, "Zihan, don't you think today is a breakthrough point?"
"I'm an old man, I sleep on the first floor, so I won't disturb you."
"If you take the initiative a little, a man and a woman alone in a room, dry wood and a raging fire could easily ignite."
"The wine tonight was brewed by me personally, mixed with more than a dozen precious medicinal herbs. It is extremely potent and most men cannot withstand it."
"You just need to relax a bit, and things will get done." Old Master Ye was extremely worried.
It seems that he had a plan in mind from the moment he invited Li Changfeng over.
"Grandpa, this..." Ye Zihan stammered.
"Stop hesitating, go, go, get Li Changfeng today, one last shot and you'll get me a grandson." Old Master Ye pushed his granddaughter toward the stairs.
If the granddaughter doesn't like it, that's fine. You can't force someone to do something they don't want to do, and you can't act according to their personal wishes.
The main problem is that everyone else has already developed their businesses; how can we not catch up?
What if it gets stolen?
With substantial progress made, Old Man Ye was confident he could persuade Li Changfeng's master to agree to the marriage.
Ye Zihan stood in front of Li Changfeng's door for a long time, reaching out her hand and then pulling it back, repeating this several times.
They eventually knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" Li Changfeng asked, still engrossed in reading a diary, not yet asleep.
“Me,” Ye Zihan said crisply.
"Come in."
As soon as Ye Zihan stepped into the room, she became extremely nervous. Although it was her own home, she felt incredibly unfamiliar with it. She didn't know whether to stand or sit properly, and she was extremely reserved.
"Is there something you need so late?" Li Changfeng asked, sitting up.
"It's nothing serious." Ye Zihan ran her slender white fingers through her hair and tucked it behind her ear. "I came over to ask you if you're thirsty after drinking so much, if you're dizzy, or if you need some fruit or something."
"This little bit of alcohol is fine. Apart from feeling a bit warm, I don't feel anything."
"Oh." Ye Zihan stood still.
Then it was quiet for a while.
"Why don't you sit down and chat for a bit?" Li Changfeng patted the edge of the bed.
"Okay." Ye Zihan walked over timidly, her hands clasped together the whole time.
"I didn't say anything inappropriate at the dinner table today, did I?"
"No, Grandpa has a very good impression of you."
"That's fine then." The two engaged in awkward small talk, forcing themselves to say something when they had nothing to say.
"Is this your room?"
“Yes!” Ye Zihan nodded. “I lived in this room when I was a child, all the way until I graduated from university. Now when I come back to spend the night, I still sleep here.”
"So, does that mean we've shared a bed?" Li Changfeng teased.
"It's just wishful thinking. I stay in hotels all the time. Does that mean every room I've slept in counts as sharing a bed?"
"I misspoke," Li Changfeng said with a smile.
"Huh? What's that on your bedside table?" Ye Zihan asked, glancing at it.
"I was just browsing around because I had nothing else to do."
"Li Changfeng, you actually read my diary!" Ye Zihan said angrily after seeing him.
This is privacy, a girl's privacy.
From childhood to adulthood, from adolescence to adulthood, a girl's thoughts are all written on it.
Ye Zihan grabbed it, furious. "You apologize to me, you must apologize."
“There’s no need to take this so seriously.” Li Changfeng shrugged. “What you’ve written isn’t very private. It’s like a diary, all rambling on and on. When did you get your period? Who did you argue with today? Tomorrow you’re trembling with period cramps. The day after tomorrow you’re talking about your grand ambitions to take over the group.”
Is an apology necessary?
"That won't do either," Ye Zihan insisted.
"Okay, okay, I apologize. I read your diary without your permission. I'm sorry." Li Changfeng took it seriously.
"Hmph, that's more like it."
"Zihan, there's a line in it that I remember vividly: Did you ever have a crush on a man?"
Why do you say that?
“A city shrouded in mist and rain, a building standing side by side; a flower blooming only for a single tree.” Li Changfeng recited it silently.
"No, I just thought the poem had a certain artistic conception, so I copied it down at the time." Ye Zihan's expression was calm, and she didn't seem to be lying.
Li Changfeng's expression revealed disbelief.
Why would I lie to you? There's no need to lie about this, is there?
"I've never been in a relationship since I was a child. I'm not kidding."
"With my looks, how could anyone who likes me escape my grasp?"
"Hey, what's with that look? Still doubting me?"
"How are you going to prove it?" Ye Zihan was anxious; she felt so innocent to be misunderstood.
It's a diary entry from many years ago; I've long forgotten when it was written.
"Who knows? It's all just talk. You can't tell if it's true or false," Li Changfeng said sarcastically, tilting his head.
"Like young girls these days, even though they've dated more than a dozen boyfriends, the standard answer is always three."
Ye Zihan pinched her slender waist, blew on her long hair, and laughed in exasperation.
"Alright, alright, then this girl will show you whether I've ever had a boyfriend." Ye Zihan pounced on him.
"Zihan, what are you doing?" Li Changfeng was startled, and then he was tackled by a hot body.
She remained reserved and introspective, waiting for Li Changfeng to take action.
I will agree unconditionally as long as you confess your feelings.
But no matter how long they waited, day after day, this blockhead just wouldn't get it. He was good at making jokes, sharp-tongued, and quick-witted, but he just wouldn't break through the barrier in their relationship.
Taking advantage of her anger, Ye Zihan decided to take the initiative.
The relationship between the two is actually quite delicate. With just a little effort from one side, things will naturally fall into place.
Ye Zihan originally wanted to wait a little longer and give this fool some more time, but the old man added fuel to the fire that night, saying something extremely insightful.
With my family so supportive, I might as well go all out.
Li Changfeng was forcibly kissed by Ye Zihan, and was pinned down, unable to move.
"Zihan, what are you doing?"
"I want to prove whether I've ever had a boyfriend or not." Ye Zihan tore at the other person's clothes and also took off her own turtleneck sweater.
