Chapter 22 Du Yukun Goes Mad!

"President Ye, you're so busy all day long, haven't you had a break yet?"

"No, you are too."

"I have no choice but to work today, otherwise I would have gone home and taken a nap long ago."

Ye Zihan paused briefly before continuing to type, "Xiaodie, I have a question for you. Do you think massage can cure my type of menstrual cramps?"

"Massage can only provide temporary relief; it's unlikely to cure the problem completely." Xiaodie belatedly realized, "What's wrong? Did it relapse again?"

"Hmm." Ye Zihan replied with a single word, a growing unease creeping into her heart. Had she really been tricked?

"How are you? Do you need to come to the hospital? Or should I take half a day off to come and see you?" Xiaodie was very concerned and made a move to do so.

You don't need many friends; having one or two true friends is enough for a lifetime.

A true friend is hard to find in a hundred years, and a soulmate is even harder to find across a thousand miles.

The older I get, the more I understand how precious the word "friend" is; not all friends can be called friends.

"No need, I'm fine now, it doesn't hurt at all." Ye Zihan felt a warmth in her heart.

"That's impossible. I've carefully diagnosed your menstrual cramps. Once they flare up, the pain is unbearable and very difficult to control."

"Sister Zihan, don't be stubborn. You can't get through an illness just by willpower."

"I'm really not kidding you." Ye Zihan typed quickly, her fingers seemingly dancing on the screen. "The pain disappeared after the massage, and my lower abdomen felt warm all day."

"Zihan, who gave you that massage? They're really good at it, I'd like to see for myself."

His words revealed his resentment.

“This…” Ye Zihan stammered.

"What's wrong? Is it inconvenient to tell you? You can't even tell me?"

"I'm afraid you won't believe me if I told you."

"who?"

"My bodyguard."

"Pfft!" Xiaodie almost burst out laughing. "Sister Zihan, you're not joking, are you?"

Ye Zihan simply sent a voice message: "I swear I didn't."

"A bodyguard with medical skills? And he even cured super difficult menstrual cramps? That sounds so weird."

"No, I have to go see him when I have time, and see who he really is. Is he just a conman, or does he have real skills?" Xiaodie made up her mind.

"Xiaodie, let's not talk about me anymore. What about you?" Ye Zihan changed the subject, not wanting to continue the conversation. Just thinking about the scene during the day made her feel hot.

"Sister Zihan, which aspect are you referring to?"

"Your brother, any news?"

"No, I found the director of the orphanage a few days ago. She said my brother was adopted when he was ten years old and never came back." Xiaodie said listlessly, somewhat dejected.

"Don't give up, don't be discouraged. I believe you will be reunited with your brother sooner or later," Ye Zihan encouraged.

"Thank you. I also believe that heaven rewards those who persevere and that I will definitely find my brother." Xiaodie pursed her lips and clenched her little fist.

"Alright, it's getting late. Let's chat again when we have time. Let's go out for dinner together when you're on vacation."

"OK! I'll go back to work. What a miserable working man."

Ye Zihan sent a laughing emoji, turned off her phone, closed her eyes, and went to sleep.

There is another person who will not sleep tonight, and that is Du Yukun.

Several days have passed since he told Lai San to kill Li Changfeng, but there has been no news and no satisfactory answer. He is frustrated and unable to suppress his anger.

Did this scoundrel not take my words to heart? He agreed verbally, but did absolutely nothing?

You bastard! No matter what, I'm the eldest son and grandson of the Du family. Do you think I'm some kind of three-year-old kid? Are you trying to take advantage of me, the village guard?

Without my Du family, you'd be nothing but a lackey, probably still bowing and scraping to others like a lackey, unable to distinguish between king and queen?

If you don't reply to me by tomorrow, don't blame me for making things difficult for you.

"Young Master Du, you were fine just now, why are you so depressed now?" A young and beautiful woman dressed in revealing clothes asked as she sat on the edge of the bed, fixing her hair.

This is Du Yukun's private villa. He moved out three years ago and rarely goes home unless there is a reason.

Being bound by all sorts of constraints and rules in the Du family is nowhere near as comfortable as being on your own.

He would occasionally bring a college student back for an all-nighter, showering them with thousands of dollars in tips each night—living the high life he wanted.

The woman in front of him, Du Yukun, had spent 100,000 yuan to book her for a month. Upon closer inspection, she bore a resemblance to Ye Zihan.

At first, she acted so innocent, arrogant and haughty, but when offered 100,000 in chips, she immediately turned into a docile little lamb, as gentle as could be.

There is nothing in this world that money can't buy, and there is no woman that money can't bring down, unless you don't have enough money.

Men with any real power or influence all have one thing in common: they are never short of women.

Lai San is one, and so is Du Yukun.

"You, come here." Du Yukun beckoned with a gloomy face.

"What are you doing?" The woman said unwillingly, but her body dared not disobey, and she walked over step by step.

"Kneel down."

"Young Master Du, what did you say..."

"I'll give you another 100,000."

The woman immediately became alluring, bending her knees and obediently kneeling on the ground.

"Slap!" Du Yukun slapped him hard across the face without warning.

The woman was dumbfounded. She had thought that Young Master Du was going to do something different, and she was willing to do it even if it meant being treated like a dog for money. But it turned out to be a big swindler.

Before the woman could react, Du Yukun grabbed her hair and lifted her up, his expression manic and crazed, "You filthy bitch, you don't know what's good for you."

"Slap!" Du Yukun, speaking indirectly, delivered another slap.

"You give your body to someone else but not to me, you're blind."

"Ye Zihan, do you know how much I care about you? You slut, you don't know what's good for you, you damn third uncle."

Du Yukun vented his anger, beating the woman until she screamed repeatedly, his hands raining down on her.

The beating lasted for more than ten minutes before it stopped. Du Yukun sat on the ground, panting heavily, sweat beading on his forehead, completely exhausted.

He'll go crazy if he doesn't vent.

The woman huddled to one side, sobbing and weeping. Just moments before she had been beautiful and fair-skinned, but now she looked like a pig's head stew.

His face was swollen and red.

"Stop crying, or I'll strangle you to death!" Du Yukun said fiercely.

"Young Master Du, I don't want the money anymore, I want to go home," the woman said softly, frightened and timid.

"Going home is fine, but you have to serve me one more time. As long as I'm happy, I won't let you down."

"Young Master Du, you won't hit people again, will you?" The woman was frightened and trembling with fear.

"You're deaf? Do what I tell you to do, stop talking nonsense."

"Yes." The woman was startled, her head was buzzing from the blow, and she was still dizzy.

But she had no choice but to do it; the look on Du Yukun's face as he devoured people was still vivid in her mind—it was terrifying.

Having learned her lesson, she will surely understand that some money is not so easy to earn.

Once accepted, they are no longer equal and no longer possess independent personalities.
