Chapter 24 Birthday Banquet!

Li Changfeng remained calm and composed, saying leisurely, "Yu Wencheng, is this how your Yu family treats guests? Even excluding our father-son relationship, if we're just ordinary guests, is this the right thing to do?"

That's right, the so-called uninvited guest was Yu Wencheng.

"Li Changfeng, don't give me that crap. Who do you think you are? You're not on the guest list." Yu Wencheng was furious. Seeing the other man's smug look, he wanted to punch that smug face with his fist the size of a sandbag.

“I can’t just come with my wife,” Li Changfeng said, revealing another identity bestowed upon him by Ye Zihan herself.

"Nonsense," Yu Wencheng scoffed. "Someone like you has a wife? What woman with a brain wouldn't be with you?"

"If I didn't have a wife, where would you come from? Are you my son?" Li Changfeng had a knack for roasting people; anyone who dared to talk back to him would be furious.

The key point is that they spoke in a light and casual tone, without shouting or yelling, making it feel like you punched cotton.

That feeling of helplessness is the most unbearable.

"Damn it!" Yu Wencheng couldn't take it anymore and swung his fist.

It wasn't that I was deliberately trying to sabotage my own business, I just couldn't stand it anymore.

Li Changfeng easily caught it, his large hand enveloping the fist. With a slight exertion, Yu Wencheng's expression changed drastically, he grimaced, revealing a mask of pain.

"Today is your grandfather's birthday. Are you sure you want to go all out?" Li Changfeng asked casually.

"Let go." Yu Wencheng squeezed out the two words through clenched teeth.

Li Changfeng hadn't intended to stoop to his level. Yu Wencheng was just a slovenly-haired kid. Li Changfeng loosened his grip, and Yu Wencheng staggered back two steps.

"Just tell me what you want to do, and I, Li Changfeng, will take it all." Li Changfeng's lips curled up, his expression nonchalant.

"Aren't you a guest? Okay, I'll be right there. I hope you can handle it." Yu Wencheng said, then turned and left.

Li Changfeng didn't care at all and didn't take his son's words to heart.

If things get out of hand and make people unhappy, then we might as well not hold the old man's birthday banquet at all and just smash everything.

Li Changfeng dared to think this way and dared to do it; the word "cowardice" was never in his dictionary.

How could a mere local clan possibly have a celestial monkey behind them, standing shoulder to shoulder with the sun? I don't believe in such nonsense!

Not long after, Ye Zihan returned and sat comfortably next to Li Changfeng.

"Finished delivering?" Li Changfeng poured himself a cup of tea and took a small sip.

"It's over." Ye Zihan cherished her words like gold.

"The old man looks quite energetic." Li Changfeng gazed into the distance.

Grandpa Yu was dressed in a red Tang suit embroidered with exquisite patterns. His white hair was neatly combed, and he looked very energetic. He had only a few teeth, but he was all smiles.

He handles people with ease and confidence.

"Oh, it's my cousin!" A surprised voice came from behind. Without turning around, one knew who it was.

I had just had two days of peace and quiet when I ran into Chen Qiqi again.

"Qiqi, you're here." Ye Zihan smiled knowingly and patted the seat next to her, gesturing for her to sit down.

Shen Qiqi's attire was relatively light and casual, not at all formal for such an important banquet. She wore a tight-fitting yellow Pikachu short-sleeved shirt with huge eyes on her chest, the largest eyes of any Pikachu I had ever seen.

She wore pink shorts that barely covered her buttocks, revealing a pair of fair and slender short legs.

She's wearing bunny shoes, and her two ears stand up when she walks—she's so cute!

"Li Changfeng, you're here too." Shen Qiqi greeted him casually.

The latter ignored him and took out his phone to start playing PUBG.

"I'll join too, want to team up?" Shen Qiqi invited.

"No need," Li Changfeng refused outright.

"Fine, watch me fuck you." Shen Qiqi boasted, making a bold statement.

Unbeknownst to them, in an inconspicuous corner, a pair of eyes were fixed intently on Li Changfeng and Ye Zihan, their gazes fierce and menacing, like those of a ferocious beast.

The two were his prey, their expressions filled with venom, giving off a chilling feeling that he was about to pounce on them and slit their throats.

There's no need to elaborate on who this person is.

Du Yukun was the only one who could attend the old man's birthday banquet and harbor such hatred for Li Changfeng and Ye Zihan.

"You two despicable couple, you deserve to die a horrible death! I'll make you, Ye Zihan, watch Li Changfeng die right in front of you."

"The show is about to begin."

This Du Yukun is mentally challenged, a complete idiot, not very bright. Is this the kind of thing that a big family can produce?

So far, hasn't he even bothered to investigate the true relationship between Li Changfeng and Ye Zihan?

Just because someone says they're a couple doesn't mean they are. Just because they're acting doesn't mean you should believe they're real. They say they're your father, but why don't you believe they are?

His head is full of dog shit, clumps of it, you can't dig it all out.

He must have lost his soul when he was a child, and the sorceress couldn't bring him back. He's probably missing a screw in his head.

...

As the banquet began, one dish after another was served on the table.

Shen Qiqi gritted her teeth, groaning under her breath, and frantically tapped her fingers across the screen, feeling like she was about to explode her phone.

Suddenly, Shen Qiqi jumped up, picked up her phone, and smashed it on the ground.

"Damn, we lost."

"Li Changfeng, you're playing dirty tricks."

Li Changfeng raised an eyebrow, stuffed his phone into his pocket, and picked up his chopsticks to show off.

You think you can play a game? Your skills are good enough to deal with idiots, but do you think you have the ability to fight me?

If we play ten more rounds, I'll make sure you're crying for your mom.

"Li Changfeng, do you dare to do it again?" Shen Qiqi's 36,000 pores were filled with dissatisfaction.

"I'm eating, don't bother me." Li Changfeng didn't even glance at him, burying his head in his food.

"Fine, you win." Chen Qiqi bent down and picked up her phone. She had just bought it last month for several thousand yuan, and she just smashed it like that.

Shen Qiqi has changed her phone quite a few times in the past two years; she's gone through at least ten or eight in the past year.

If you lose, you just throw things around. What can withstand that?

Halfway through the meal, Yu Wencheng came over with a bottle of wine.

"A guest is a guest, Li Changfeng, I've come to offer you a toast."

Li Changfeng put down his chopsticks and tilted his body slightly to the side. "I don't drink alcohol."

"You're not giving the Yu family face? Offering a toast is a sign of respect for the guests. The Yu family's actions were perfectly reasonable. What do you mean by that?" Yu Wencheng asked, sounding troubled.

"Drinking alone is no fun, how about we drink together?" Fearing something might happen, Li Changfeng tampered with the wine and pulled someone off the horse with him.

“Sure, that’s exactly what I was thinking.” Yu Wencheng sat down as a matter of course.

Ye Zihan, standing nearby, seemed completely bewildered. When did Li Changfeng become acquainted with the Yu family? It seemed there was some animosity between them, and things weren't harmonious.

Yu Wencheng opened the bottle of baijiu and filled a two-ounce glass. "Come on, Brother Li, let me toast you."

Li Changfeng picked up the wine cup, twitched his nose, and sniffed it briefly, seemingly confirming that it wasn't poisoned.

Seeing Yu Wencheng down the drink in one gulp, I didn't hesitate and drank it down in one go as well.

Yu Wencheng's strategy this time was an open one, not a conspiracy; the wine was completely pure, with nothing added to it.

He is immune to alcohol from childhood; it's his nature, and he can drink a lot without getting drunk.
