"Don't worry, you don't even have the right to be an orphan," Li Changfeng said slowly and deliberately.
About ten minutes later, several luxury cars sped over, leaving a trail of dust in their wake.
The leader's eyes lit up with excitement when he saw the person getting off the bus. Ignoring his injuries, he got up and said, "Kid, you'd better wash your neck clean."
He then limped over.
But when he got there, the bald man and Wang Qingmei seemed not to see him at all, ignoring him and hurrying on.
"Brother Feng, what should we do?" Mu Xiaodie grabbed Li Changfeng's arm, timid and frightened.
"Don't be afraid." Li Changfeng patted her smooth little hand, his expression calm and collected. "I will make them give a perfect explanation."
Baldy and Wang Qingmei approached Li Changfeng, bowed deeply, and said respectfully, "Mr. Li."
Upon seeing this scene, Mu Xiaodie was stunned, and the leader was even more dumbfounded, his head buzzing.
"Do you know why I called you here?" Li Changfeng sat still, his legs crossed.
Baldy and Wang Qingmei were completely bewildered, and said in unison, "We don't know."
When was Dingsheng Group established?
“Reporting to Mr. Li, it was two months ago,” the bald man answered honestly.
"Does this belong to Dingsheng Group's project?" Li Changfeng pointed to the ground.
The bald man turned his head and winked at Wang Qingmei.
Wang Qingmei looked around, her mind racing, and seemed to recall something. "Mr. Li, this place seems to be under the jurisdiction of our Dingsheng Group."
"Seems like? Are you not sure?" Li Changfeng stood up, his tone becoming more forceful and imposing.
The bald man rubbed his hands together, looking extremely embarrassed. "Mr. Li, as you know, I'm just a roughneck. I don't participate much in work-related matters, and I don't know much about them either."
"Then let those who can explain themselves speak for themselves. I don't know what you guys are good for, still playing the same old tricks?"
"Robbing and plundering, bullying the weak, and oppressing the vulnerable?"
The bald man swallowed hard. “Mr. Li, we have already been officially recognized as legitimate businesses as you instructed. We no longer engage in any crooked or unethical practices. Now, Dingsheng Group is conducting legitimate business in the open, in the sunlight, and with nothing to hide.”
"Well said!" Li Changfeng sneered. "You keep talking about being upright and honest, but what I see is you condoning your subordinates to oppress the people, using vicious methods, and driving people to their deaths."
"Do you feel like you've got too much power? You think you can do whatever you want in Jinghai, act arrogantly, and be unruly by anyone?"
“If so, I wouldn’t mind personally giving them a good talking-to.” Li Changfeng’s tone was measured, and he exuded a powerful aura that was chilling.
Large beads of sweat covered their foreheads, and they were extremely flustered. "Mr. Li, I...we..."
Mu Xiaodie, standing to the side, stared blankly, her mouth slightly agape.
She hadn't expected Li Changfeng to be so imposing, which frightened the person in charge of Dingsheng Group like a chick.
“Mr. Li, please calm down. Someone must have broken the rules. Please give us some time to get rid of the pests immediately,” Wang Qingmei said, mustering her courage.
"I'm busy, hurry up," Li Changfeng said calmly.
"Yes!" Wang Qingmei hurriedly took out her phone.
She needs to find the person in charge of this project.
Wang Qingmei isn't stupid. If Mr. Li is sitting here throwing a tantrum, there must be something wrong here.
The leader in the distance was terrified; he was so scared he almost peed in his pants.
He wasn't the project's overall manager; he was just the manager's brother-in-law and had no access to high-ranking figures like Baldy and Wang Qingmei.
To put it bluntly, he's just a lowly henchman who rose to power through family connections.
When I saw the two bosses standing there respectfully, like schoolchildren being scolded, my heart sank. Only two words came to mind: It's over!
He plunged headfirst into the crematorium.
Should we run away? Just leave?
But this is Jinghai, so running around won't help.
You can run away from the monk, but you can't run away from the temple.
Where can my parents and sister go?
The leader turned deathly pale, looking like a paper doll, a stark contrast to his previous mental state.
Not long after, a man dressed in a suit and tie arrived in a hurry.
Without saying a word, Wang Qingmei slapped the man across the face.
The man lost his balance and fell flat on his face, his teeth hitting a clod of dirt.
"General Manager Wang, why did you hit me?" the man asked, feeling extremely aggrieved.
"Hit you? I wouldn't lose out even if I beat you to death, you son of a bitch." Wang Qingmei waved her huge fist, then mounted him, like a dense rain of bullets.
The weight of over 200 pounds pressing down on me felt like a mountain crashing down on me, making it hard to breathe.
The weight alone is something that most people cannot bear.
"General Manager, you need to have a reason for hitting someone."
"Chairman, please persuade General Manager Wang!" the man pleaded while being beaten.
"Beating you is too lenient; whether you live or die is another matter entirely." The bald man was furious and exasperated.
"General Manager Wang, please stop hitting me, I was wrong."
"If there's anything wrong, I apologize."
"Ouch, my eyes."
"ah……"
The man screamed incessantly until Wang Qingmei was exhausted from beating him and finally stopped.
"Get up right now, or I'll break your legs," Wang Qingmei said in a muffled voice.
With her formidable strength, it wouldn't be surprising if she broke arms and legs.
The man grimaced, his face contorted in pain.
His eyes were dark, tears kept flowing, one cheek was bulging out, and he had lost two teeth. His once neat hair had turned into a bird's nest.
"This is your responsibility, isn't it?" Wang Qingmei asked, pointing around.
