Chapter 219 Dirty (1/2)

Chapter 219 Dirty

"I was very surprised to receive your invitation."

Accident?

Lin Rui was speechless. Was there something wrong with the wording?

By the way, that delicate handshake isn't exactly enthusiastic; it's more like... reserved.

And after shaking hands, isn't it a bit impolite to take out a white handkerchief to wipe your hands in front of others?

Frankly speaking, this less than three-second encounter once again refreshed Lin Rui's understanding of Constantine.

Lin Rui maintained his humble smile, his emotions unreadable to outsiders. However, Chen Bin coughed lightly, seemingly somewhat displeased with Constantine's behavior.

Who is this?

Constantine glanced at Chen Bin.

Before Lin Rui could introduce himself, Chen Bin stepped forward and said, "I am Mr. Lin's assistant."

assistant?

Constantine held his head high, his overflowing sense of superiority resembling that of someone long accustomed to a high position, showing disregard for those at the bottom.

Chen Bin wasn't angry and remained polite: "Mr. Lin, let me drive the car over first."

After Chen Bin left, Lin Rui smiled and said, "You two have come from afar, why don't you find a place to sit first..."

"No need for polite formalities."

“I am very interested in your piano compositions. She said you have quite a few in your private collection, is that right?”

Despite his seemingly composed demeanor, Lin Rui could still catch the excitement flashing in Constantine's eyes when the topic was brought up.

"have."

Lin Rui smiled and nodded: "Quite a few."

"That's good."

Although Constantine remained reserved, the slight tremor in his body betrayed his true thoughts.

"Get in the car first, I've already prepared the banquet."

As Chen Bin drove up, Lin Rui gestured for him to get in.

Christie nodded, smiled, and got into the car.

Constantine, however, remained standing still: "Mr. Lin, there's no rush for dinner. If possible, I'd like to appreciate your work first."

His tone carried a hint of arrogance, as if Lin Rui, who stood before him, was not a piano master of equal status, but merely a young man he admired.

Lin Rui didn't mind. Although they hadn't known each other for long, through some subtle observations, Lin Rui noticed that the old man didn't seem to have much respect for Christie.

"Can."

Lin Rui nodded.

Lin Rui's reaction seemed a little unexpected, but Constantine didn't care. Since his goal had been achieved, he simply got into the car as well.

While driving, Chen Bin glanced briefly at Constantine, who had closed his eyes to rest after getting into the car, through the rearview mirror, before continuing to focus on driving.

Half an hour later, the car pulled into a luxury hotel in Taizhou.

Lin Rui booked two suites for Christie and Constantine, and even had a piano brought in.

"Mr. Lin, please begin your performance."

For once, Constantine used a slightly more polite tone.

Lin Rui didn't dawdle and played three different nocturnes in a row, causing Christie and Constantine, who were sitting on the sofa, to frequently show strange looks in their eyes.

"It's getting late, shall I arrange dinner for you two?"

As soon as Lin Rui stood up, Constantine waved his hand and said, "There's no rush for dinner. I want to know, are there any more works like this?"

"Of course."
