Chapter 1145 A Heated Standoff (1/2)

Chapter 1145 A tense standoff. At 5:30 p.m., the afterglow of the setting sun gilded the skyline of Beitai City.

The area around the Taipei Arena was already bustling with activity and filled with lively chatter.

On the roads leading to the various entrances, dense crowds moved slowly, like colorful rivers, eventually converging on the oval white building.

Excitement and anticipation filled the air.

"Jay Chou! Jay Chou! Jay Chou!"

In the distance, a group of young men and women, all dressed in black T-shirts and baseball caps, were chanting slogans in unison, holding up a huge banner that read, "Asian King, Irreplaceable!"

They are members of Jay Chou's official fan club, and they gathered here early to build momentum.

Looking around, six or seven out of ten people in the crowd were holding Jay Chou's support items—glow sticks, light boards, banners...

Some people even cosplayed as Jay Chou in the style of his early album covers.

As the sky darkened, the light signs began to light up sporadically, spelling out words like "King Zhou," "Unparalleled," and "Zhou's Territory," scattered like stars on the ground, like the Milky Way.

But in this predominantly purple ocean, you can also see many other bright spots of color.

Some young girls held up light blue light signs that read "Heng Family Army", "Liyue Alliance River", "My Favorite Hengxue"...

They were in small groups, their faces bearing smiles that were both excited and somewhat reserved.

These are mostly Wang Yueheng's newly accumulated fans in the northern part of the bay, mainly students and young office workers.

Many of them were actually attending a concert for the first time, and their movements were a little clumsy, but they tried their best to learn from the experienced fans around them, helping each other to put on face stickers and adjust their banners.

There were also several more eye-catching young men wearing modified Chinese-style stand-up collar suits, with upright postures.

They held up red banners with flamboyant calligraphy on them:

"A warm welcome to Lieutenant Wang Yueheng of the Naval Political Work Department's Cultural Troupe for his visit to Wanbei!"

The signature reads "Beitai City Veterans Association - Some Young Members".

Their serious expressions and upright posture made them stand out somewhat in the noisy crowd, but they also attracted a lot of curious and kind glances.

"Mom, look! There are soldiers over there coming to the concert too!"

A little girl, being led by her mother, pointed at the group of young people and said.

"That's to welcome Wang Yueheng, the military singer who sang 'A Man Should Be Self-reliant,' he's very popular lately."

The mother had clearly done her homework, explaining in a low voice.

"Oh! That's the guy who sings at the night market! I like him!"

The little girl's eyes lit up.

"Official glow sticks! Last batch!"

Commemorative poster for "Secret"!

"The same guitar pick used in Wang Yueheng's 'Fleet of Time' night market concert! Limited edition!"

Street vendors selling local products set up their stalls along the street, their shouts echoing throughout.

The air was filled with the aroma of grilled sausages, milk tea, and steamed egg cakes.

In the plaza rest area to the right of the main entrance, several benches were filled with spectators waiting to enter.

Four young people, who looked like college students, were sitting on one of the benches.
