Chapter 65 Surrender: I don't want to drink, I want to fall.
The incense in the burner was almost burned out, and the smoke dissipated, leaving only a faint, damp, fishy smell on the bed.
The room was in complete disarray, with coats scattered everywhere, piled up and wrinkled on the bed, windowsill, and pearwood table.
She was curled up in the corner of the blanket, her milky white skin covered with thick, lustrous red, like a newborn kitten, struggling to breathe.
This is a watercolor he carefully prepared, unique in the world.
Lu Xiaofeng let out a soft breath, suppressing the tremor that rose in his heart, and hugged her tightly from behind. Beads of sweat trickled down her chin and into the hollows of her neck, their skin pressed tightly together, as if they were born of each other.
He couldn't help but take a deep breath; the lingering aroma of spices mixed with the woman's fragrance filled his nostrils, and that momentary emptiness was instantly replaced by sweetness.
He felt as if he had tasted the most precious food in his heart; his eyes gradually glazed over, and his stomach, like a bottomless pit, began to stir again.
Only diners know how delicious these delicacies are.
Tiny specks of red seeped into the shoulder blades, and the rubbing against his back became increasingly sticky. Yan Jin turned to the side, pressing her face against his sweaty cheek; the two tufts of mustache rubbed against her face, a lingering, tingling sensation.
She laughed, her eyes flushed a breathtaking red, and as she reached out to gently smooth his hair, she sweetly asked, "Are you happy?"
So primitive, so wild, of course it's fun.
Lu Xiaofeng's lips curled up, revealing dimples. His sweaty nose lightly brushed against hers as he said in a hoarse voice, "Of course, a man is happiest at times like this, especially with you. Every man in the world would be jealous of me."
Her hand, painted with smoky pink nail polish, gently caressed her thin lips. She raised her fox-like eyes and said in a sticky voice, "If you keep being so sweet-talking, aren't you afraid I'll fall in love with you?"
Getting involved with the word "love" is never a pleasant experience. Love represents entanglement and shackles; a wanderer fears mentioning love most of all.
Once a woman falls in love, she will force the man to marry her, which is truly terrifying.
However, at this moment, he may have truly been blinded by lust, and he lowered his head to kiss her impatiently, only to be met with her rapidly rising body temperature.
She slowly backed away, using only her upturned fox-like eyes to entice him, "You have to use some bait."
She had only moved a tiny inch, yet his possessiveness had already been ignited.
How can we let you back down at a time like this?
He propped himself up and caught up with her, cupping her flushed face in his hands and whispering, "What kind of bait do you want?"
Love, or a promise?
No, these are certainly inferior.
If you want something, you have to pick it yourself.
Yan Jin winked at him, a hint of malice flashing in her eyelashes, "I want your precious jar of earthworms."
Lu Xiaofeng was both amused and exasperated, and sighed, "It seems there's one more person who wants to see me make a fool of myself."
Yan Jin grabbed his face and whispered in his ear, "Those who are willing will take the bait."
His heart skipped a beat, and he grabbed her waist, ready to kiss her.
When your appetite is at its peak, you just want to swallow it whole, without even bothering to peel or debone it.
Yan Jin lay down, reached out a hand to support his chin, and carefully examined the debauchery and infatuation in his eyes.
She lightly flicked it with her fingertip and smiled at him silently.
Lu Xiaofeng suddenly realized that the wine wasn't the torture; she was.
He let out a long breath, raised his hand as she wished, and laughed, "Of course I surrender."
......
After their revelry, Lu Xiaofeng lay back on the couch, a cup of wine resting on his chest. He took a deep breath, and the wine flowed into his mouth. His mouth was filled with the fragrance of flowers—it was, of course, the flower wine he had bought himself. The weak wine that he had always found unpalatable now tasted incredibly pleasant.
He would never dare to taste that Prajna wine again in his entire life.
He drank his wine, but his gaze remained fixed on Yan Jintianxiang.
As if she had eyes in the back of her head, she suddenly spoke up: "Why are you staring at me?"
Lu Xiaofeng sat up and laughed, "You look so beautiful, absolutely beautiful."
Yan Jin scooped up the face powder and said calmly, "Lying."
He chuckled softly and had no choice but to admit, "Okay, I still think you look more beautiful without any clothes on. I'm just really curious about the fairy tales, extremely curious. I'm also very curious about what this spice is made of? Why does it smell so good?"
Yan Jin raised her eyes in surprise and said, "It's naturally tuberose. I thought you knew a lot about flowers."
Lu Xiaofeng was certainly not stupid. With a quick thought, he remembered the flower branch with white flowers and pink buds.
It's not that he understands flowers; it's that someone else does.
Of course he wouldn't be stupid enough to say it out loud. How stupid would a man have to be to praise another handsome man in front of the woman he loves?
So, he brazenly spread his hands and said with steady breathing, "It just so happens that I only know this one branch."
"I'm so overwhelmed by your fragrance that I can't move. My hands and legs are weak, and my mind is a complete mess. If Jinjin doesn't cure my illness, I'm afraid I won't be able to walk anymore."
He chattered away, trying to make her happy and laugh, his dimples never disappearing.
Yan Jin covered her mouth and laughed, "So you're not going to do anything else important?"
Lu Xiaofeng sighed and said leisurely, "There are no important matters, only endless trivial matters. I just want to do something that I can enjoy and find interesting."
Yan Jin put down the incense burner, lightly jumped in front of him, and said, "Is this what you call interesting?"
Lu Xiaofeng raised an eyebrow, staring at her intently, silently asking, "What man in the world wouldn't find this interesting enough?"
Yan Jin smiled gently and said coquettishly, "Come with me."
A soft, white hand was stretched out in front of him, and the petals in the courtyard of the small building suddenly fluttered up, the colorful petals swirling and pouring in through the window.
A breeze picked up, and a sense of unease rose in Lu Xiaofeng's heart.
This road is probably not easy to travel. Once you go, there's no turning back.
He's always had a keen sixth sense, yet he always seems to walk headlong into trouble. This man, ultimately, can never resist the thrill of danger and the unknown.
Despite the dazzling array of flowers, he still stood up and took her hand in his.
His entire life was dedicated to solving mysteries.
Yan Jin helped him jump out of the window, but they didn't land. The fallen petals condensed into a boat beneath their feet, and this flower boat soared ninety thousand miles into the wind.
The mountains, the waters, the city, and everything in the world lay beneath my feet. Like an ant, my heart pounded wildly and out of control for a long time.
The fierce wind whipped against his body, and his bright red cloak was soaring so high it was almost about to disappear into the wind. Lu Xiaofeng felt his brain buzzing.
At this moment, he wanted to grasp his own soul, and could only hold onto Yan Jin's hand tightly.
He was speechless for a moment, only able to feel his body trembling and his blood boiling.
Yan Jin shouted in his ear, "Let's go after them!"
Her voice was unrestrained and carefree, freely spreading her unbridled spirit everywhere.
Lu Xiaofeng's heart pounded heavily. He knew that the heat had boiled him completely, making it impossible for him to return to calm.
"What are you chasing!" He snapped out of his daze and burst into laughter.
Yan Jin laughed like a silver bell, jumped onto his waist high in the air, kissed his dimple sweetly, and shouted, "Oh, the sun!"
As soon as she finished speaking, a crimson light cleaved through the clouds, and the blinding light suddenly illuminated the entire dark world.
It's dawn!
The sky seemed to have been scalded with a hole, and the reddish-orange light spread everywhere, the colors becoming more and more vibrant, burning fiercely in the air.
The clouds and mist are all beneath my feet, and the wind is clamoring in my ears.
They clung to each other, everything blurred, countless lights and shadows swept away, leaving only each other in the world.
Yan Jin removed all the hairpins that were in the way from her temples, and facing the wind and the morning sun, she smiled mischievously at him, "Aren't you scared?"
Her face was shrouded in crimson rouge, and even the strands of her hair seemed to glow.
Lu Xiaofeng strained to hear her words, hugged her waist tightly, and winked at her, saying, "Of course a man shouldn't say he's afraid in front of a woman. With you here, how could I be afraid?"
He coaxed, "Let's stop here and enjoy the scenery while we drink, okay? You like pink, so I brought peach blossom wine."
Yan Jin chuckled and planted a kiss on his lips, saying in a sweet voice, "Little Phoenix, how can you be so cute?"
Before the sweetness of that first sip could even melt into his heart, he saw her jump down, slowly shaking her head and saying, "I don't want to drink, I want to fall."
I'm going to drag you down with me.
As soon as she finished speaking, she took three steps in two and suddenly leaped into his arms, as light as a falling star.
The howling wind carried them down from the clouds, their heartstrings snapped, their hearts stopped, everything went completely out of balance, and joy and fear were separated by only a thin line.
The intense weightlessness of the vertical plunge had already killed him once.
Yan Jin, however, managed to throw herself into his arms and laugh, her sweet voice reaching his clenching heart, "Empty yourself up, don't you want to become the wind?"
The sound was like a chain, firmly holding him suspended high in the air. Lu Xiaofeng opened his eyes; the free wind was at his feet, and his heart was pounding so hard it felt like it would lift him off his feet.
The air was finally filled with the salty dampness of the sea, and seagulls scattered in fright. Softened by the petals, they fell into the boundless sea.
With a "thump," the solid weight that landed on his back finally caught him.
He quickly tensed his waist and used all his strength to lift her up.
However, her outstretched hand was entangled by him like seaweed, and a heavy, wet force carried him toward the dark, unseen seabed.
The depth and cold of the seabed are overwhelming, isolating everything from the outside world.
Lu Xiaofeng gritted his teeth. He hadn't expected her to be so crazy, but with people so deep in the ocean, there was nothing he could do, no matter how capable he was.
When that breath ran out, a suffocating feeling enveloped my mouth and nose, and my heart and lungs instantly began to ache terribly.
In the moment of impending death, she finally kissed him, tilting her head back as if in a sacrifice. An eerie pink mist traveled down his throat and into his abdomen, and his body instinctively learned to breathe underwater.
Small groups of fish swam around the two of them.
Her dark hair flowed across the seabed, binding her heart tightly, leaving no gaps.
Those fox-like eyes were fixed on him, and he knew he had been captured, completely and utterly.
The seawater lifted the hem of her pink skirt, and Lu Xiaofeng suddenly bit down hard, as if venting his anger.
A touch of rusty red spread out, and she didn't cry out in pain, but just chuckled and said, "How fierce."
Lu Xiaofeng stared intently at her, his voice slightly hoarse, "Are you crazy?"
His voice was as cold as ice, but the look in his eyes as he looked up at her was anything but innocent.
As he watched, Yan Jin suddenly burst into unrestrained laughter, "Of course I'm a madman! Don't you like madmen? I know you like this."
He took a deep breath and said coldly, "Of course I don't want to die for no reason."
Yan Jin climbed up his back and shouted into his ear, "But I will protect you, I will protect you forever."
The first time, he received neither exploitation nor a request.
Her voice trailed off, sounding to him like the bubbling of sweet wine boiling.
What followed was the irresistible aroma of wine that captivated him.
The liquor burned everything away along the seams of his bones; his spine was taut and straight, and his body was trembling.
His mind urged him to flee, but his leg bones had already been scalded and burned silently.
