Chapter 12 Young Master, You Are So Noisy
A huge splash appeared on the water surface, and Huo Gannian sank silently without even a bubble.
The Huo Gang guards were all stunned, as if they heard the voices of the Huo family ancestors calling them down to serve, and they all screamed in fear:
“Save the young master!!”
Before he finished speaking, he heard another "thump" sound.
Yun Chen had already thrown away the Hidden Moon Sword and dived into the water.
The lake water was clear, and Yun Chen could clearly see Huo Gannian sinking rapidly, and had already sunk quite a distance.
She swam forward a few steps, and then thought that the breath she was holding was not enough, so she turned around and swam towards the surface, ready to take a deep breath before coming down.
At the same time, other Huo Gang guards who were good at swimming also jumped into the water. Like Yun Chen, they swam out for a distance, only to realize that they could not dive that deep and had no ability to save people. They could only return to the surface and anxiously find a solution.
In the water, Huo Gannian continued to sink.
From his perspective, the water was full of struggling guards. Everyone wanted to save him, but they were all scared away by the depth of the water.
There was no other way. His legs were disabled now, and he couldn't swim with just his arms. He was sinking too fast, and it would be in vain even if the guards risked their lives.
He looked at his numb legs, the oppressive feeling of drowning gradually dissipated, and a deep sense of helplessness and sadness came over him.
He stopped struggling, slowly lowered his arms, and let his body fall to the deepest bottom of the water.
But then, it was as if someone drew a bow and shot a sharp arrow into the water.
A figure as nimble as a flying fish swam straight and fast towards him.
The distance was too far, so he couldn't see the face of the person coming. He only saw that his momentum was extremely resolute and firm, as if saying:
Don't be afraid! I'm here to save you! I will definitely save you!
He couldn't help but stare at the figure, and hope rose in his heart again.
It was not until Yun Chen's face appeared clearly before his eyes that he realized for the first time that the tip of an arrow could be without murderous intent.
Her eyebrows and eyes were so calm and gentle, and her cheeks were as white as a halo. She came from far away in the deep blue lake, attracting all his attention.
He subconsciously waved his arms again, and the feeling of suffocation came over him again.
So when Yun Chen, whose cheeks were as big as a pufferfish, came over to hug him, he put his arms around the back of her neck and kissed her.
She was so frightened that she stepped back subconsciously to dodge, but then she remembered her duty as a guard, so she had to calm her pounding heart and let him kiss her, taking a breath to save her life.
Huo Gannian didn't think too much about it, but couldn't help but think:
"That brat really stole my black pear cake!"
After breathing in the air, Yun Chen quickly floated to the surface holding Huo Gannian.
Unexpectedly, as soon as he showed his head, several frogmen came at him with knives.
Yun Chen held Huo Gannian in one hand and fought with the frogman with the other, while his feet also had to swim continuously, which was quite strenuous for a while.
She wanted to call for help from others, but she saw that Ye Yan, Hua Jue and others were also fighting with the frogmen, and no one was available.
Although Yun Chen was good at swimming, he was no match for the frogman who grew up in the sea. He was also dragging Huo Gannian with him, so he soon fell into a disadvantage.
The two frogmen were determined to kill Huo Gannian. Yun Chen knocked one of them down, and the other one had the tip of his knife pointed at Huo Gannian's chest.
Yun Chen lunged sideways to block Huo Gannian, and was stabbed hard on the shoulder. Blood spurted out and he fainted on the water surface.
Yun Chen kicked the frogman in front of him away and pulled out the knife from his shoulder.
She held Huo Gannian in her arms and swam towards the nearest Huo Gang boat, but suddenly she felt a tightening around her waist. A huge force gripped the two of them and dragged them into the deep water.
Yun Chen only had time to take a breath before he was completely submerged in the water.
She frantically tried to grab it, but only felt cold and slippery snake scales.
A water python as thick as a thigh coiled around her and Huo Gannian, biting down fiercely on her shoulder with its fangs bared.
Ignoring the piercing pain in her shoulder, she stabbed the python with a knife. While the python was struggling to move away, she hugged Huo Gannian and lifted him up, lifting him out of the water so that he could breathe.
She was still holding her breath and buried in the water, holding only a short knife, fighting with the water python.
At this moment, a force more domineering than that of a water python came violently, and the undercurrent wrapped the two people and the python in it, and flowed rapidly in an unknown direction.
Yun Chen no longer cared about how far from the shore she was. She used all her strength to support Huo Gannian to come out of the water and breathe.
The undercurrent was so fierce that the water python was swept away and lost some of its strength.
The two men and the python floated up and down in the water. They were dizzy and felt as if their internal organs were about to shift.
After floating for an unknown amount of time, Yun Chen felt the water flow slowing down and finally emerged from the water. He suppressed the urge to vomit and took advantage of the moment when his mind was clear to use all his strength to push Huo Gannian to the shore.
She herself was entangled by the water python and sank into the water again.
"Cough, cough, cough..." Huo Gannian lay on the shore, coughing violently to cough out the water in his lungs.
He wanted to turn around and pull her, but he was unable to move with his hands on the ground and dragging his numb legs. He could only gasp for breath and call out her name urgently.
"Yun Chen! Yun Chen——"
The only response he got was the calm water surface and a few ripples that were about to dissipate.
He looked around and saw only dense forests and a deserted area, like a remote water island with no one to help.
Soon, he saw a large amount of blood mixed with mud and sand surging up from the bottom of the water.
The water surface was boiling, churning violently, and the entire area was muddy with blood and sand.
Not sure if she could hear him, he shouted:
"Yun Chen! Stab him in the seventh inch!"
The water continued to surge, and more blood surged up, dyeing the water dark red.
Finally, after a period of violent stirring, the water surface finally calmed down slowly.
He stared at the water nervously.
The next moment, a pale arm suddenly emerged from the water, grabbed the mud and sand with its fingers, and slowly climbed ashore by dragging its body.
She stood up staggeringly, her body covered in mud and weeds, looking utterly miserable.
She threw down the black snake gall, then fell to the ground and never moved again.
The wound on her shoulder, which was first stabbed by a knife and then bitten by a snake, had been blistered to the point of being turned up at the edges. The other wounds that had been washed clean by water also began to slowly bleed.
Soon, the ground where she was lying was covered in blood.
Huo Gannian could clearly see from her collar, cuffs, and torn trouser legs that her fair body was covered in black and purple, all signs of being entangled by the water python.
"Yun Chen! Wake up!" he ordered loudly.
She remained motionless and did not respond.
"Wake up! Wake up!" he shouted again.
She still didn't move.
She kept shouting like this, and finally when he was so anxious that he started to grab the sand at hand and throw it at her, she moved her head with difficulty, her voice hoarse and exhausted:
"Young Master, stop shouting...you're making too much noise..."
