Lele slid off his father's lap and stood obediently in front of him. With his little hands behind his back, he began reciting a poem, swaying his head: "In life and death, in separation and reunion, we made a vow; holding your hand, we will grow old together."
Lele recited with extreme confidence, his childish voice rising and falling in cadence, his bright eyes filled with pride, and his exquisitely beautiful little face was so charming that it was impossible not to love him.
Lele naturally didn't understand the meaning of the poem. Such a heartfelt love poem came out of a child's mouth in such an awkward and incoherent way. Lele's interpretation made it sound like he was reciting the Three Character Classic, which was a bit like the comical feeling of an ancient scholar who had become dizzy from reciting his lessons.
Bai Zhi watched from the side with a smile on her lips. Lele's IQ is quite high, comparable to his father's. He didn't even know the meaning, but after being taught a few times, he could recite it word for word.
She just kept looking at him, finding her son more and more adorable, and liking him more and more. Mainly because Lele was born to her and the man she loved most, the fruit of her love with Ou Zihan.
Some people's marriages are forced by the opinions of relatives and friends, leading them to marry and have children with people they don't like. Such marriages are tragic, and those marriages that leave only resentment are terrifying.
And she, with her beloved man and adorable son, had the happiest and most perfect marriage. She felt a blissful, almost ethereal happiness, as if she had endured hardship and finally achieved her goal.
"Your mother is really something. Why is she teaching you to memorize this when you're just a little kid? You're not learning anything good from a young age."
Ou Zihan frowned, unable to help but scold her. What kind of mother teaches her five-year-old son about dating? Bai Zhi is really something, is she so precocious? How many boyfriends has she actually had? Thinking about this, Ou Zihan felt a pang of jealousy, and a hint of envy flashed in her dark eyes.
Bai Zhi's smile froze. What did she mean by that? Ou Zihan is really something else. What did he say about her, his mother?
Can't he just let his son finish speaking? What's the rush? Honestly.

"Dad, are you angry? Mom specifically asked me to tell you this, I'm just relaying the message. Dad, what does this poem mean? Why is this poem considered bad? Tell me, Dad."
Lele jumped onto his father's lap again, clinging to his arm and swaying it affectionately. Even at such a young age, he was already perceptive enough to read his father's expressions. Seeing his father's face darken, he couldn't help but feel anxious and tried to please his father by clinging to him.
Bai Zhi's heart finally settled down. Fortunately, the little guy had a good memory and remembered everything she was taught. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to bear the huge accusation of being a bad parent.
However, her face flushed slightly; she must have felt embarrassed to have her son deliver such sweet words.
These words sent a jolt through Ou Zihan's heart, a sudden, inexplicable pang of sorrow gripping her soul. "Xiao Zhi, I can't grow old with you anymore, I'm so sorry… After I'm gone, only our lovely son will be there to keep you company."
He took a deep breath, fighting back tears of heartache, and with a slight smile on his lips, he looked intently at his son. "Dad isn't angry. Dad isn't that petty. Lele, when you grow up, Dad will tell you."
He tenderly kissed his son's soft, rosy lips, a bitter smile playing on his lips. Lele had grown up; would he still have him? Perhaps he would only be a cold, painful tombstone for his son.
A surge of painful emotions churned within his chest, and warm tears welled up in his eyes. He turned his face away, trying to control his grief, hold back his tears, and present his strongest, most confident, and optimistic side to his son.
As he turned his head, he met Bai Zhi's gaze directly. Bai Zhi was standing behind him, wearing an adorable pink apron with a cute cat design. Her hair was tied up high, and her fair and beautiful face was beaming with smiles. Her dark eyes were overflowing with happiness.
Fearing Bai Zhi would notice something amiss, he quickly suppressed his sadness. A mesmerizing smile graced his handsome face, and Bai Zhi felt a jolt in her heart. This man's smile was breathtakingly beautiful; she was completely captivated.
His dark eyes gazed deeply at her, a captivating and unfathomable gaze that made her heart pound rapidly. "Wife, come here. I've missed you all day." His magnetic voice was gentle and warm, soothing her heart.
He took her small hand in his large hand and pulled her to his side. He held her tightly in his long arms, pressing his face against hers. He breathed deeply, greedily inhaling the fragrance of her slender white neck. Her soft and delicate body was still fragrant and delightful.
His nose tingled with emotion, filled with endless longing and reluctance. He held his beloved son in one arm and the woman he cherished in the other. God, how could he let go?
"Zihan..." Bai Zhi leaned tightly against his warm shoulder, feeling incredibly happy.
In an instant, she felt a sense of unease. What was wrong with Zihan lately? He seemed different from before. He used to be so domineering, always trying to subdue her, often making her excited and angry, and then giving her the most tender affection.
But now, he seems to have completely lost his edge, showering her with tenderness and sweet words, making her feel as if she were in a dream.
Could it be that his personality has softened with age? She wondered.
So close, feeling his warm breath, she looked at his handsome face and suddenly noticed that his complexion was very pale, a deathly pale, sickly white. As a doctor, her sixth sense was particularly sharp.
