Luo Xiaoyi endured things at home for the sake of her broken family, but she didn't need to endure them outside. Sometimes, forbearance outside would become a bargaining chip for others to take advantage of her. She was not a person who would tolerate things at heart; she had just been suppressing her true nature.
Luo Xiaoyi persisted, saying, "I know what I should do. Although you are my boss, I also have basic human rights. Please don't push and shove me like that in the future. You should be glad you didn't push me down today, otherwise, I wouldn't let you off the hook!"
Luo Xiaoyi glared at her fiercely. She hated people like her who tried to make a big deal out of nothing.
Zhou Meina immediately stepped in front of him, her forehead veins bulging with anger, her eyes bloodshot. She was used to being arrogant because of her family's power, and no one had ever dared to speak to her like that. "What did you say? You're not going to let me off the hook? Do you think a rich young lady like me is afraid of you? Don't you even know who I am? How dare you talk to me like that?"
Luo Xiaoyi smiled contemptuously, "Who you are is none of my business. Get out of my way, don't delay me from preparing the medicine." With that, she shoved her aside.
"How dare you push me?" Zhou Meina no longer cared about her refined upbringing and even swore. She was furious and raised her hand to slap him hard, but Luo Xiaoyi quickly grabbed her wrist and slapped her back hard!
Zhou Meina was furious, her face flushed and her beautiful eyes blazing with anger. This pampered young lady disregarded her image and lunged forward to tear Luo Xiaoyi's hair. Luo Xiaoyi felt a sharp pain, as if her scalp was being ripped apart. Just as she was about to retaliate, she suddenly heard an angry shout from behind, "Zhou Meina, what are you doing? Don't act so arrogantly just because your family is powerful. If you don't want to work here, go home and stop causing trouble!"
Zhou Meina turned around and saw that it was Minister Zhang, who was glaring at her with a cold expression.
Zhou Meina immediately cowered and said tremblingly, "Minister Zhang, I'm sorry, I know I was wrong, I will restrain myself and it won't happen again."
Minister Zhang said sternly, "I'll deduct your salary for this month! If this happens again, don't come back!"
Zhou Meina's voice was barely audible, "I understand."
Luo Xiaoyi chuckled inwardly. Zhou Meina had been acting like a tigress just now, what was wrong with her now? Wasn't she from a wealthy family? Why was she being so subservient to a mere department head? Why was she compromising herself by becoming a nurse? She found it rather strange.
