Chapter 114 Sensing Something's Wrong, Lin Cheng Monitors the Young Master

Chapter 114 Sensing Something's Wrong, Lin Cheng Monitors the Young Master

Kong Chi: "Of course he's good-looking. The big yellow dog next door gives him loving nourishment every day, how could he not be good?"

Lin Cheng's expression changed, and he immediately moved his hand away. He immediately felt that he was unclean and reeked of filth.

Kong Chi raised his little face smugly, then said, "I'm going to pee now, do you want to come with me?"

Lin Cheng quickly stepped forward and said seriously, "Of course... no, young master, you're lying to me again. I already said I didn't follow you, I was just strolling around, hehe. But thank you for the invitation, young master. I don't feel anything yet, you go, you go."

Kong Chi rolled his eyes and turned to go to the bathroom.

After seeing that the person had left, Lin Cheng quickly patted his chest.

Oh dear, tracking people is not a job that just anyone can do well. This should be Chu Ning's job!

After a while, Murong Ting came out of the house.

After walking a few steps, he saw him standing there and frowned slightly: "I told you to keep an eye on that kid, what were you doing in the yard?"

"Oh, Young Master Ting, I've been keeping an eye on him, but I can't possibly follow the young master to the toilet."

Murong Ting snorted but didn't say anything. As he walked, he asked, "You've been staring for so long, have you figured anything out?"

Lin Cheng nodded: "I've figured it out."

"What?"

"Young Master, you're trying to run away!"

Murong Ting paused, then turned around: "What do you mean?"

Lin Cheng clapped his hands and said, "I was following behind him and I saw the young master constantly texting someone while holding his watch. He was also sneaking around between the front gate and the back gate. It's obvious he's planning to run away!"

He sighed as he spoke: "This young master probably wants to find a young mistress. Alas, the poor young master, at only four years old, has to face such a cruel life choice as 'whether to stay with his father or his mother'."

Murong Ting: "Receive."

Lin Cheng instantly banished his sorrow and switched to work mode.

After a moment's thought, Murong Ting said, "You're watching too closely; let him escape."

Lin Cheng was stunned: "Young Master Ting, what did you say?"

Murong Ting's eyes flickered slightly: "Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Since he wants to go find Kong Wange, let him go. You just need to follow him and relay every single thing he does with Kong Wange to me without missing a single detail."

Lin Cheng realized what was going on and gave a thumbs up: "Young Master Ting, that was a brilliant move. No wonder you're so cunning... uh, so ruthless."

Murong Ting tapped him on the head: "Of course, who else has something brand new on their neck like you, never used before?"

Lin Cheng covered his head: "Oh dear, mine isn't brand new, it's rusted! It can't compare to Young Master Ting!"

Murong Ting said irritably, "Alright, all you do is flatter."

Lin Cheng obediently zipped up his mouth.

Meanwhile, Kong Chi came out of the bathroom and was surprised to find that Lin Cheng was no longer there.

It was already past ten o'clock. He had just scouted the terrain and found that the back door of the old house was unguarded, so going out would definitely not attract attention.

So he tidied himself up a bit and quietly slipped out the back door.

This time, Lin Cheng learned from his mistake and waited outside the door beforehand, so Kong Chi didn't notice him at first.

Kong Chi turned on the navigation function on his watch and headed towards the snack street.

The snack street wasn't far from the old house; it only took about ten minutes, according to the sign.

He walked for a while and felt tired, so he ran to a nearby store to buy a bottle of water. When he was paying, the shop owner suddenly nudged him and said, "Little boy, are you out shopping alone? Call the police, there seems to be a human trafficker following you over there."

Kong Chi was taken aback. He secretly peeked at the shop window and discovered that Lin Cheng was following him again.

He quickly realized what was going on and took back the money he was about to pay: "Auntie, that's not a human trafficker. Actually, that's my nephew. Although I'm young, I'm of a higher generation. I'll go out and wait for my nephew first. You can ask him for the money later."

The cashier was completely charmed by Kong Chi's adorable appearance and immediately said, "Okay, okay."

So, Kong Chi swaggered out.

On the other side, Lin Cheng, who was pretending to pick out things, saw Kong Chi leave and quickly put down what he was holding to follow him.

Then the cashier said, "Hey, don't go, you haven't paid yet!"

Lin Cheng was taken aback: "I didn't buy anything?"

"You didn't buy it, but your uncle did!"

"My uncle??"

"That little kid who just went out, how could you turn your back on your own uncle just to avoid paying for a bottle of water!"

The proprietress's loud voice immediately attracted everyone's attention.

Lin Cheng covered his face with his hand: "What are you shouting for? I admit it, I admit it. How much is it? I'll pay."

What a terrible thing to do.

After paying for the water, Lin Chengsheng left dejectedly, only to see Kong Chi, with his short legs, running quickly towards the snack street.

"I refuse to believe I can't keep an eye on a little brat like you."

Lin Cheng took long strides and closed the distance between them in just a few steps.

As Kong Chi ran towards the food street, he texted his mother and younger brother: "Xiao Chen, I'm almost at the food street, but I have a tail following me and I can't shake it off."

Murong Chen quickly replied, "Don't worry, Brother Chi, I saw Uncle Lin Cheng behind you!"

Kong Chi put down his watch, and seeing the snack street right in front of him, he darted inside.

Lin Cheng, who was behind him, immediately exclaimed "Holy crap!" and followed him inside.

It was lunchtime, and the food street was bustling with people.

The surrounding area was lined with shops, and the sounds of hawking and selling filled the air.

Once Kong Chi entered the food street, he was like a fish in water; if you weren't careful, you could easily lose him.

Lin Cheng had to be on his guard and keep up quickly.

A short while later, the young master entered a dessert shop.

He quickly followed him inside.

However, the dessert shop was too crowded. He vaguely saw a small figure flash by and thought he saw the young master go up to the second floor. He was about to follow him when he reached the second-floor stairwell.

Just then, he heard someone calling him from downstairs.

He turned around and saw the young master smiling sweetly at him by the stairs: "Uncle Lin Cheng, were you looking for me?"

Lin Cheng: "..."

This is unbelievable! He clearly saw the young master go upstairs to the second floor. Was he seeing things? How did the young master get behind him?!

In broad daylight, a long passage from "The Shining" and "Sadako" suddenly flashed through his mind, giving him goosebumps for no reason.

He came downstairs and forced a smile, "Young Master, what a coincidence, you're here to buy candy too?"

"Hmm, it's quite a coincidence. I didn't expect that Uncle Lin Cheng, who is already so old, would also like to drink sweet soup."

Lin Cheng chuckled awkwardly: "Reminiscing about childhood, reminiscing about childhood."

He then asked in confusion, "Young Master, if I'm not mistaken, you just went up to the second floor, right? How come you suddenly ran behind me?"

"Huh?" Murong Chen looked surprised. "I just came in."

Lin Cheng: "!!!"

Ugh, this is so scary, I want to go home.

Murong Chen patted his leg and said, "Uncle Lin Cheng, I bought cassava soup. Remember to pay the bill."

After saying that, he went to the front desk, grabbed the sweet soup, and swaggered away.

Lin Cheng: "..."

After he paid the bill and ran out, he saw the young master's figure flash by, as if he had entered a tofu pudding shop.
