Chapter 15 Taking Her Child
"You're back so early, Mommy! Did you find out about my brother...?"
Kong Ran leaned against the door frame, and when he looked up, the words he was saying stopped abruptly.
She was stunned for a moment before she realized what was happening.
Then, with big eyes sparkling with pink hearts, she said in a gentle tone, "Oh my, what a coincidence! You handsome widowed uncle, are you here to see my mommy? I knew my mommy was so beautiful, how could any man not love her?"
"But you've come at a bad time. My mom isn't home. Come back later."
Murong Ting was eager to find "Chanyi," a little girl he had already met at the airport; now he needed to find his second child.
He didn't want to get entangled any further, and ignoring Kong Ran's words, he lifted his leg and barged inside.
Seeing that things were not going well, Kong Ran was about to close the door without saying a word.
However, how could Murong Ting possibly do as she wished?!
He took a long stride, blocked the door with his bare hands, and pushed it open.
No matter how hard Kong Ran tried, she was just a little girl; how could she compare to his strength?
He was immediately pushed so hard he landed on his bottom.
"Bad uncle, get out! Are you crazy? What are you doing barging into our house?!" Kong Ran shouted as she grabbed his trouser leg.
Murong Ting nimbly dodged her, walked past her, and strode into the room.
Before Kong Ran could react, a large hand had already covered the doorknob of the study closest to him.
Inside the study, Kong Chi heard the arguing outside and was preparing to come out.
Unexpectedly, just as they reached the door, it was pushed open from the outside with a click.
Two people, one tall and one short, with strikingly similar faces, stared at each other, both stunned.
Kong Chi: "Very irritable..."
"Murong Chen? What are you doing here?" Before Kong Chi could finish speaking, Murong Ting asked angrily.
"This is my home. Where else would I be if not here?"
Kong Chi took a step back, his eyes wary, thinking, "Is this grumpy uncle going to try to drag me out to help his kid with his homework again?"
"Your home?!" Murong Ting's eyes widened in shock, feeling a surge of anger rising to his head. At the same time, he cursed Kong Wange a thousand times in his mind.
No wonder she moved into the same neighborhood as him as soon as she returned to China. It seems this woman had planned this all along!
I never knew when we became so close, and he even tricked us into coming to his house.
Five years ago, they gave birth but did not raise them.
Five years later, what gives them the right to fight him for their son?
He grew angrier the more he thought about it, and gritted his teeth, saying, "You ungrateful little devil, just wait here and behave yourself, I'll deal with you later."
Kong Chi: "???"
Murong Ting turned around, ignoring Kong Ran's scolding behind him, and searched the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room thoroughly, but did not see any other children.
Undeterred, he turned to Kong Ran, who was blocking the doorway, and asked, "Little girl, is it just you and this brat in this house? Is there no one else?"
"Or, do you have any older or younger siblings hiding somewhere?"
"It's gone!"
Kong Ran wouldn't tell this wicked uncle. She got up from the ground, pointed at Kong Chi, and said angrily, "I don't have any older or younger brothers or sisters, I only have this one younger brother. You handsome but scummy uncle, you deserve to be single. If you have any anger, take it out on me!"
After all that fuss, it turns out they've come to seek revenge on the family for throwing coffee at them!
After saying that, she moved her feet in a slashing motion and then retreated, striking a serious taekwondo pose.
She has the air of a little heroine!
"Oh, a younger brother? You're already recognizing a younger brother so quickly?"
Murong Ting grasped the key point in her words and was immediately furious.
Wait, something's not right. He suddenly realized that if Kong Wange only had this one daughter, then she definitely couldn't be Chanyi.
After all, the investigation showed that Chanyi returned to China with two children.
That's true, how could Kong Wange, a country woman, possibly be Chanyi?
He must have been desperate to have such an outrageous idea; the current outcome is the only reasonable one.
However, this little girl is Kong Wange's daughter, so wouldn't that mean...
He looked at Kong Ran suspiciously and asked, "How old are you? Why are you calling him 'brother'?"
Could it be that Kong Wange gave birth to not just one child, but a pair of fraternal twins?
"Six..." Kong Ran stopped mid-sentence, becoming wary, and said defensively, "Hmph, I'm not going to tell you, you bad guy, get out of here!"
Six years old? That's a year older than Murong Chen, so they're not twins.
But wouldn't that mean Kong Wange already had a child with another man before she married him?!
"You shameless, promiscuous woman, Kong Wange!"
No wonder she was so eager to divorce him when she came back this time. Did she want to kidnap his son and reconcile with her old flame?
"You big bad guy, how dare you insult my mommy?" Kong Ran glared and cursed angrily, hands on her hips.
After finding out the result, Murong Ting didn't want to stay in this house for another second.
He couldn't be bothered with Kong Ran, and strode over to Kong Chi, grabbing him and lifting him up. "Come on, let's go home!"
Kong Chi was shocked. What kind of world is this? Is it common to snatch children now?
He struggled desperately: "Let me go! This is my home! My mommy said my daddy's grave is overgrown with weeds! You're trespassing and trying to become my father! The police will arrest you!"
What? He's already calling her "Mommy"?
What kind of spell did that woman cast on her son? It's only been a short time, and he's already almost disowning him as his father.
And how dare you curse your child to die?
Murong Ting was furious. He grabbed him and started to walk out, yelling, "You little ingrate, I haven't been keeping a close enough eye on you lately. If you ever dare to come here again, I'll break your legs!"
"Let go of my brother!"
Kong Ran's face turned red with anger, her fists clenched fiercely as she charged forward, shouting, "You big bad guy, take this!"
That setup looked quite professional.
Murong Ting impatiently flicked his wrist, and "splat!" Kong Ran fell to the ground again.
After all, she was just a child, so he controlled his strength and didn't really hurt her. He glanced at Kong Ran with a disdainful look, "Want to meddle in other people's business? Practice some more."
He snorted coldly, turned his head without looking back, and dragged Kong Chi away.
"Let go! If you want a son, hurry up and get married and have one yourself!"
Kong Chi was still struggling, but Murong Ting didn't listen to what he was saying at all. His large hand was like a vise as he strode out, not allowing Kong Chi to move an inch.
Seeing that Kong Chi was about to be taken away, Kong Ran frantically went over and grabbed the man's trouser leg.
However, her legs were too short to keep up with the man's pace.
In the blink of an eye, Murong Ting and Kong Chi arrived at the main gate.
Just before closing the door, Murong Ting turned back to Kong Ran, who was relentlessly following behind him, and said, "Little girl, help me tell your mother to stop trying to take advantage of my son, or don't blame me for being impolite!"
With a "bang," the man slammed the door shut without hesitation.
Kong Ran collapsed at the door, tears streaming down her face.
In her panic, the man's words reminded her: Yes, go find Mommy for help!
She steadied herself, rushed to her room, picked up her phone, and started calling Kong Wange.
