Chapter 189 Exploring the Secret Door of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic

Chapter 189 Exploring the Secret Door of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic

The three little ones chattered away in the back.

Kong Wange, on the other hand, was dumbfounded.

She was so angry that she cried when she signed the divorce agreement, and this bastard tore it up just like that?

She looked up at the shredded paper scattered on the ground in disbelief: "Murong Ting, how could you be so shameless?"

Murong Ting said in a deep voice, "I am not shameless, I am now fully conscious."

He looked at her with reddened eyes and said, "Wanwan, don't be angry. We won't get a divorce."

Kong Wange: "..."

What on earth is this man doing?

"Murong Ting, you were the one who said you wanted a divorce before. Have you forgotten what you said?"

Murong Ting feigned innocence: "Oh, did I say that?"

Kong Wange: "?"

Murong Ting then turned to the three children and asked, "Did I say I wanted a divorce?"

The three little ones shook their heads in unison: "No, no."

Kong Wange: "..."

What on earth did this scoundrel do to "bribe" all those kids?!

Murong Ting knew he was being unreasonable, but what other options did he have?

He didn't want to lose his Wanwan.

Seeing Kong Wange's still unyielding gaze, he decided to press his advantage: "Wanwan, have you forgotten? We didn't go to the Civil Affairs Bureau to get a notarized divorce, we didn't get a divorce certificate, and now the divorce agreement is gone too, so it has no legal effect."

After saying that, she said in a gentle tone, "Wanwan, please forgive me and let me go with you to open the clinic, but you can't bring these things."

Kong Wange was so angry with this man that she felt dizzy. She threw her suitcase away and said, "Fine, I don't want these things anymore, Murong Ting. Are you taking me for a fool? I'll just ask you one question: are you going to give me the key or not?"

Murong Ting: "..."

Seeing Kong Wange's expression, he knew she was truly angry, and he immediately felt guilty.

Without a second thought, he tossed the key into Kong Chi's arms, then coughed lightly and said, "The key isn't with me anymore."

Kong Wange: "?"

The three little ones were completely dumbfounded, not expecting their dad to be such a coward. Kong Chi immediately passed this hot potato to Kong Ran.

Kong Ran reacted quickly, tossing it to Murong Chen in the blink of an eye.

Murong Chen looked around with the key in his hand, and the others were so frightened that they waved their hands repeatedly and took several steps back.

Kong Wange was almost dizzy. She took a deep breath and walked to her youngest son, stopping in front of him: "Baby, come here, give Mommy the key."

Murong Chen subconsciously took a step back and stammered, "Mommy, Chenbao can't give you the key. Chenbao... doesn't want you to leave. Chenbao doesn't want you and Daddy to divorce. Chenbao wants to see Mommy every day."

With just one sentence, Kong Wange's nose began to sting with tears.

Murong Ting gave his son a thumbs-up from behind and pointed to his eyes.

Murong Chen immediately understood, and tears welled up in his eyes as he pleaded, "Mommy, wouldn't it be better if you stayed with us every day? I don't want to be separated from you, and I don't want to be separated from Brother Chi and Sister Ran."

Kong Wange already felt guilty towards her youngest son, but when she saw him cry, her heart immediately softened.

After a long pause, she sighed deeply: "Okay, then Mommy promises you, I'll stay here for now, and come back after I finish my business at the clinic, okay?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Murong Chen stopped crying instantly, shouted "Yay!" and kissed Kong Wange on the cheek: "Mommy, you're the best!"

Looking at her son, who suddenly became lively and energetic, Kong Wange was speechless.

Why do I feel like I've been tricked?

She stood up, turned to look at Murong Ting, and asked, "Are you satisfied now?"

Murong Ting thought for a moment and said, "The more beautiful a woman is, the more likely she is to lie. You can't just say it, son. How about we have your mother make a vow?"

The three little ones nodded in unison: "Yes, yes, Mommy swears!"

Kong Wange was speechless. Determined to open the door quickly, she could only helplessly say, "I swear..."

"Wait!" Murong Ting interrupted her, immediately taking out his phone and switching to the recording function.

"Alright, let's begin."

Kong Wange remained silent.

Tired, let's destroy it.

By the time everything was completely finished, the sun was almost setting.

Kong Wange turned to Murong Ting and said, "Is this alright now?"

Murong Ting put away his phone, satisfied: "Let's go, Wanwan, I'll go to the clinic with you!"

Kong Wange turned away helplessly.

...

When Murong Ting drove Kong Wange to the clinic, it was already past 7 p.m., and Uncle Zhang had already gone home.

The two opened the clinic's main door and headed straight for the iron gate in the backyard.

As dusk fell, the herbs in the courtyard were bathed in the afterglow of the setting sun.

Kong Wange led Murong Ting, turning left and right, until they arrived at the iron gate.

Pushing aside the leaves of the tiger thorn, the iron gate that blended seamlessly with the surrounding walls came into view before the two.

Murong Ting frowned: "This corner is secluded, and the door is cleverly designed, almost blending into the wall. It is indeed difficult to find without careful observation."

"Yes, Uncle Zhang didn't notice it all these years. I only saw it by chance."

Murong Ting reached out and touched the paint on the iron gate: "This paint is old; it seems it was deliberately painted on to deceive people."

"So I've always been curious, does my mother know about this secret room? What secrets are hidden inside?"

"You'll know once you open it," Murong Ting said in a deep voice.

Kong Wange nodded and took out the key.

She was certain that this was the key to the door because of its unusual shape—it was an irregular hexagon.

The lock was clearly specially designed; the key fit perfectly when inserted.

As Kong Wange watched the door about to be pushed open, she suddenly felt a surge of nervousness.

My heart was pounding, and my breathing became heavy.

Murong Ting, who was standing nearby, noticed this and reached out his large hand to take her other hand, saying, "Don't be afraid, I'm with you."

The man's voice was devoid of unnecessary emotion, calm and powerful.

Feeling the warmth from the man's palm, Kong Wange miraculously calmed down.

She nodded slightly to Murong Ting, then turned the key.

After turning the knob, she pushed the door open with all her might.

However, the door hadn't been opened for so many years that she couldn't push it open for a moment.

"I'll do it."

Murong Ting patted Kong Wange on the shoulder, then stepped forward and suddenly exerted force.

"Boom—"

A slightly heavy sound came from the door opening.

The door was slowly pushed open.

A chilling aura swept over her, and in the 30-degree Celsius temperature, Kong Wange actually shivered.

She paused for a moment, then murmured, "So cold."

Murong Ting frowned even more deeply.

The iron gate was only wide enough for one person to pass through. At first glance, it was pitch black inside, and the light from outside could only reach about two meters before disappearing as if swallowed up.

Further in, you can't see anything, only feel the biting cold.

Murong Ting turned on the prepared flashlight and asked, "Shall we go in?"

Kong Wange took a deep breath and said, "Let's go in."

Having finally obtained the key, despite the bizarre situation, I couldn't bear not to take a look.

“Okay, follow me,” Murong Ting said in a low voice.
