Chapter 225 Allergic Reaction
Only after Murong Ting finished wiping himself and stood up did Kong Wange slowly exhale a long breath.
Murong Ting straightened up, a half-smile on his face: "Why are you so nervous, like we're about to go to war?"
Kong Wange knew he had noticed that she had been unconsciously holding her breath, and immediately glared at him, somewhat embarrassed and annoyed: "Who told you to have such a strange smell on your hands?"
Murong Ting pretended to raise his hand and smell it, then suddenly leaned forward, his nose almost touching her face. "There's no strange smell. Smell it again carefully. Don't wrong me."
The man's sudden action immediately drew curious glances from the neighboring tables.
Kong Wange blushed again, secretly wiping the sweat from her palms, and reached out to push him: "Mu, Murong Ting, behave yourself, get up and sit properly!"
Murong Ting stared at her intently, then suddenly smiled and asked, "What, are you shy?"
Kong Wange barely managed to maintain her composure and pushed him away: "Who's shy? Which eye of yours saw me being shy?"
Murong Ting didn't argue with her, but the corners of his lips curved upwards even more: "I saw it with both eyes."
After saying that, he sat back down neatly and didn't tease her anymore.
Kong Wange breathed a sigh of relief and silently ate her shrimp.
Occasionally, when she looked up, she would see the man's gaze burning into her direction.
Finally, she couldn't take it anymore, so she quickly finished her meal, put down her chopsticks, and stood up with a sigh of relief: "I'm full. It's getting late, I should go."
Murong Ting smiled but didn't say anything, then turned around and paid the bill.
As Kong Wange watched his retreating figure, she couldn't help but secretly despise herself.
Kong Wange, you're a mother of three, you've seen it all, yet you still blush when a man flirts with you.
They're so disappointing!
When Murong Ting returned, the two of them retraced their steps.
A gentle breeze blows through the night, and the stars twinkle in the sky.
Neither of them spoke a word the rest of the way, but the silence created an eerie atmosphere.
Kong Wange stole a glance at the man; he seemed quite at ease and calm. She coughed a few times, trying to break the awkward atmosphere. By the moonlight, she looked at the man's profile and said, "Thank you for today. The crayfish here is indeed very good."
Murong Ting feigned surprise and asked, "Are you talking to me?"
Kong Wange: "..."
Murong Ting continued, "I thought this meal had sealed your vocal cords, since you didn't say a word the whole way."
Kong Wange's eyes were like knives; she had no intention of paying him any attention and walked forward on her own.
Murong Ting took long strides and caught up with her in just a few steps. His tone was relaxed and casual: "Alright, alright, I was just kidding. Don't be angry. But I won't accept your thanks. You owe me this meal, and you have to treat me back."
Kong Wange said stiffly, "I'm not familiar with Kyoto, but I would never have discovered a 'treasure' restaurant like yours..."
"It doesn't matter what we eat, it doesn't matter who we eat with."
Kong Wange was at her wit's end and said helplessly, "Alright, I'll treat you another day. But I have a bad memory, so please don't be offended if I forget, Mr. Ting."
Murong Ting replied, "Don't worry, I have a good memory. I'll remind you when the time comes."
Kong Wange didn't reply. She walked a little further before stopping and saying, "Alright, I'll stop here. The hotel is just ahead. You should go home and rest too."
Murong Ting hummed in agreement.
The man's quick agreement made Kong Wange feel a little uneasy. She thought she would have to use more persuasion to convince him. With curiosity, she turned her head to look at the man.
But it was fine if she didn't look, because what she saw startled her.
Under the bright nightlight, the man's face was flushed, and a rash had appeared on his neck and chin.
Murong Ting also felt unwell and instinctively reached out to grab it.
"Don't move," Kong Wange quickly stopped him.
Murong Ting was taken aback, and sure enough, he stopped moving.
Kong Wange pulled him close, facing the streetlight, and frowned, asking, "When did you get this rash?"
Murong Ting looked bewildered: "Huh? What rash?"
Kong Wange was speechless. She grabbed his arm and rolled up his shirt sleeve. Sure enough, there were also some on his arm.
She grabbed his wrist and lifted it up: "Look for yourself."
"Ah... how could this be?" Murong Ting said dramatically, "No wonder I've been feeling itchy all over."
“It’s itchy…” Kong Wange looked at the red rashes on his body more closely and frowned. “Murong Ting, it seems like you have an allergic reaction.”
Murong Ting paused slightly, feigning confusion, and asked, "How could I be allergic?"
"Did you just eat something you shouldn't have?"
Murong Ting lowered his head and tried hard to recall, then suddenly realized: "Ah, it's garlic... I'm allergic to garlic."
Kong Wange was utterly exasperated: "You know you're allergic to garlic, yet you still ordered garlic crayfish?"
Murong Ting said awkwardly, "I was having so much fun eating with you that I forgot for a moment."
Seeing that the red rash on his body was getting worse, Kong Wange sighed and said, "Never mind, I'll take you to the hospital."
Murong Ting tentatively said, "I don't think we need to go to the hospital. I don't think it's that serious."
"How can it not be serious?" Kong Wange subconsciously raised her voice: "Don't take it lightly. Even a slight allergic reaction can be fatal."
Murong Ting exclaimed, "Ah! Is it that scary?"
Kong Wange said irritably, "You don't even have this much medical knowledge? How did you end up running a pharmaceutical company? Your car is right up ahead, give me the keys."
Murong Ting coughed lightly and said, "Wanwan, you're still blaming me? I think you're the one who forgot in your haste. Aren't you a doctor? Going to the hospital is too much trouble. You have to register and wait in line. Why don't you just treat me?"
Kong Wange paused, looking at him suspiciously: "Murong Ting, you didn't do this on purpose, did you?"
Murong Ting, upright and righteous, said, "Wanwan, what do you mean? I admit, I don't want to be separated from you, but I'm not stupid enough to joke about my own body."
Kong Wange fell silent, realizing she had probably overreacted.
Given how calculating this man is, how could he be so reckless? If he dies, those 10 billion yuan will just go to his mother and her four children.
Thinking about it, she actually felt a little regretful.
Kong Wange, what are you thinking? You're a doctor!
My mind suddenly cleared up.
Kong Wange touched her nose guiltily and said, "Um, I was just saying. Are you sure you don't want to go to the hospital?"
Murong Ting shook his head firmly.
Perhaps her earlier thoughts made her feel a little guilty.
Kong Wange looked at the man for a while, and seeing his resolute attitude, she had no choice but to compromise and said, "Alright, come with me."
Murong Ting subtly raised his lips and said very seriously, "Okay."
...
The hotel was only a hundred meters away; the two of them walked a few steps and arrived.
After taking the elevator back to the room, Kong Wange asked him to sit down, and went to wash her hands and change into clothes that would be more suitable for treatment.
