Chapter 249 Kong Ran Falls into the Water

Chapter 249 Kong Ran Falls into the Water

Seeing this, the three children quickly ran to the pond. Seeing that the pond was calm and still, Kong Ran couldn't help but say, "He's really going all out!"

"Aren't we going a bit too far?" Kong Chi stared at the pond, a hint of worry in his eyes.

Kong Ran said, "He's the one who started this mess by plotting against Mommy!"

Murong Chen lay by the pond: "Hey, it's been so long, why hasn't he come out yet? I hope nothing bad has happened to him."

"Don't worry, he dared to jump in and didn't seem to struggle, so he must know how to swim!" Kong Ran reassured him.

Sure enough, just as Kong Ran finished speaking, Wen Sichen emerged from the water.

Seeing that most of the water bees had left, he breathed a sigh of relief.

Seeing this, Kong Ran's big eyes darted around, and he joked, "Hey, your jump made a big splash! You should jump again!"

"You brat, you wait until I get up there!"

Seeing that things were not going well, Kong Ran shouted, "Oh no, he's coming up!"

Murong Chen said, "Sister Ran, don't be afraid, I have a big stick here!"

As soon as Kong Ran and Kong Chi turned their heads, they saw Murong Chen holding a tree branch about the thickness of a thumb, poking Wen Sichen who was swimming over.

Wen Sichen screamed in pain as he was poked, and quickly sank back to the bottom of the water.

"Xiao Chenchen, let me try too!" Kong Ran snatched the wooden stick and, imitating him, poked at it.

Unexpectedly, a hand suddenly reached out from the bottom of the pond and grabbed her wooden stick. Kong Ran was caught off guard and was pulled into the pond by Wen Sichen, stick and all!

"Sister Ran!" Kong Chi and Murong Chen exclaimed at the same time!

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Wen Sichen climbed out of the pond, wrung out the water from his clothes, and lay down on the bank, exhausted.

Kong Chi and Murong Chen were frantic, pushing him like madmen: "Why did you pull Sister Ran down there?!"

Wen Sichen snorted coldly: "You guys started this, making me get chased by bees and even hitting me with sticks. This is called an eye for an eye. Humph, if I don't teach you a lesson, you'll really think I, Wen Sichen, am so easy to fool. Wait until I catch my breath, and neither of you will escape!"

"Big brother, we were wrong just now. Please pull Sister Ran up quickly, she can't swim at all!" Murong Chen was so anxious that tears were about to burst out.

"Really?" Wen Sichen looked doubtful, still reeling from the trauma of being tricked by the three little ones.

"Yes, we haven't learned to swim yet!"

"Help!" Just then, Kong Ran could no longer hold on and began to struggle in the water.

Wen Sichen didn't seem to be faking it.

"Damn!" He sprang up like a carp, then plunged back into the pond.

Murong Chen asked in a tearful voice, "Brother Chi, I hope nothing has happened to Sister Ran."

Kong Chi's face tightened as she tried to reassure Murong Chen, "Don't worry, everything will be alright."

Time stretched out infinitely at this moment.

After an unknown amount of time, just as the two children were about to go back and call for their parents, Wen Sichen emerged from the pond, carrying a child in his arms.

Wen Sichen climbed ashore and had just put the person down when Kong Chi and Murong Chen rushed over: "Sister, Ran-jie, how are you? Are you alright?!"

Kong Ran's eyes were closed, his face was pale, his hair was stuck to his face in strands, and water was still dripping from his body.

Without saying a word, Wen Sichen hugged Kong Ran from behind, making her back face up and head down, and tightened his grip several times.

A moment later, a series of coughing sounds were heard, followed by a gush of water being coughed up by Kong Ran.

Wen Sichen breathed a sigh of relief, put her down, and collapsed to the ground, completely exhausted.

When Kong Chi and Murong Chen saw that Kong Ran had woken up, they quickly took her hands and asked, "Sister Ran, how are you feeling?"

Kong Ran said weakly, "I feel like I don't need to eat lunch, I'm full just from drinking water!"

Chi Chen and his brother: "..."

Wen Sichen couldn't help but chuckle softly.

"What are you laughing at?" Kong Ran glanced at him sideways and said weakly.

Wen Sichen said, "I'm laughing at your good attitude. Come on, don't lie there, get up and go to my place to change your clothes, you're all soaked."

The three little ones didn't move.

"What's wrong? You were pretty bold just now, but now you're scared? Afraid I'll hurt you?" Wen Sichen said, speechless.

Kong Ran glared at him: "You think I'm afraid of you? Cough cough, my legs are weak, I can't walk, okay!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Wen Sichen stepped forward and carried her on his back.

Suddenly lifted into the air, Kong Ran instinctively let out a cry of surprise.

Wen Sichen bounced her around: "How old are you this year? Five? Six? You're not very old, but you're quite heavy. Carrying you feels like carrying a fifty-pound iron ball."

Kong Ran wrapped his arms around his neck and retorted weakly, "You're the iron ball! Do you even know how to use a metaphor? You should be a fifty-pound bamboo pole."

Wen Sichen frowned: "Is there a difference?"

Kong Ran murmured, "Of course there are. The bamboo pole is thin and long, and the iron ball is clumsy and round."

Wen Sichen muttered, "But they're still fifty jin each."

Kong Ran: "..."

She was too tired to argue anymore; she was exhausted and disillusioned.

The three little ones followed Wen Sichen all the way to his residence.

Compared to Kong Wange, his courtyard was noticeably more spacious and brighter. Unlike other courtyards that were filled with flowers and plants, the ground in his courtyard was leveled. There was a doghouse on the left and a garage on the right, with four or five motorcycles parked side by side, like a car show.

Stepping inside, the punk style is completely out of place with the Wen family home, and an industrial vibe hits you right in.

The three children stared at the wall covered with figurines and car models, unable to tear themselves away. Murong Chen, in particular, was so amazed that his jaw nearly dropped: "This is so cool!"

Many of these models are discontinued and cannot be bought even if you have the money.

Wen Sichen was clearly quite satisfied with his wall, and said arrogantly with his arms crossed, "Envious? Envy isn't yours. Take this opportunity to look at it more, because you won't get another chance like this."

Murong Chen: "..."

He rolled his eyes and turned to leave.

Wen Sichen rummaged through his drawers and pulled out some clothes he had hidden away, then threw them at Kong Ran: "Here, these are clothes I wore when I was little. Try them on."

"Ew~" Kong Ran said, holding up a pair of open-crotch pants with a look of disgust on his face.

Wen Sichen blushed and yanked the pants down: "This...this isn't it!"

"Tsk tsk," Kong Ran shook his head and went inside to change his clothes.

Wen Sichen then turned and left the courtyard.

He threw the open-crotch pants into the trash can, waited a while, and then went back into the house.

Inside the room, Kong Ran had already changed his clothes.

Wen Sichen glanced at her, then walked over to the coffee table and started fiddling with something.

"What are you doing?" Kong Chi asked curiously.

Wen Sichen replied dismissively, "Make ginger tea."

Kong Chi said sensibly, "No need, we'll leave right away!"

Wen Sichen turned around with a look that said, "Are you alright?" After a while, he suddenly realized and said, "Oh, little brother, you're overthinking it. She wasn't the only one who fell into the water. I soaked myself in it."

Kong Ran, now that he had recovered, couldn't help but complain, "It's just soaking in water. Drinking ginger tea in the middle of summer, how fussy!"
