Chapter 486 The three kids' acting skills are off the charts, causing chaos at the Wen family's residence.
While the three children were chatting away, Wen Sichen had already walked up to them.
He chuckled and said, "It really is you kids. Tell me, what do you want by barging into the Wen family in broad daylight!"
"Not in broad daylight, but on a dark and windy night?" Kong Ran rolled his eyes.
Wen Sichen: "..."
"That's right, what business is it of yours what we're here for? Let me tell you, maybe the entire Wen family will belong to us in the future. I advise you to be nicer. If you really annoy us, we'll send you to clean toilets!" Murong Chen said mercilessly.
Wen Sichen was stunned by the arrogant attitude of these two kids. After realizing what was happening, he immediately rolled up his sleeves and said, "Hey, this is my little temper!"
"Hey, I think you're just a muscle-weak person!" Kong Ran wasn't afraid at all, and he rubbed his hands together, eager to try.
Wen Sichen took a deep breath and silently recited the Great Compassion Mantra five times in his heart, admonishing himself "not to get angry." He calmed down a bit: "Forget it, I won't argue with you. To be honest, what are you guys here for?"
Kong Chi sighed: "My mommy is at the Wen family's house. What do you think we'd be doing here? Are we here to see you?"
"Oh...so you're here to see your snobbish mother." Wen Sichen suddenly realized.
"Who are you calling snobbish?!" Kong Ran immediately clenched her little fist.
"Tsk, so young, don't be so violent~." Wen Sichen's mind raced, and an idea came to him: "How about this, since you three are relatively well-behaved, and you want to find your mommy, I'll take you there!"
Kong Ran was the first to refuse: "No need, we know where Mommy's yard is."
"That's right, you're taking us there? You'd be that kind? I think it's like a weasel offering New Year's greetings to a chicken!" Murong Chen added insult to injury.
Wen Sichen's eyes blazed with anger. Pointing at the three little ones, he said, "You're biting the hand that feeds you! Since you won't listen to my advice, then go ahead. Don't blame me if you come up empty-handed!"
"What do you mean?" Kong Ran looked at him suspiciously.
"Hmph, it doesn't mean anything, it's just the literal meaning. Your mommy isn't in her own yard right now, she just went to the other courtyard to have Uncle Zhihan's leg checked. Believe it or not!"
Kong Chi thought for a moment and whispered, "We can't be too conspicuous with the banner. How about we just trust him this once?"
"I second that!" Murong Chen said.
Kong Ran nodded and looked at Wen Sichen: "Alright, then you lead the way. If you have any bad intentions, don't blame me for not letting you off easy with my fists."
Wen Sichen was secretly delighted, but feigned bitterness: "Sigh, it's not easy to be a good person these days. I sacrificed my meal time to lead the way for you, and this is the attitude you get? It's truly disheartening!"
"Stop arguing and hurry up," Kong Ran urged him.
Wen Sichen waved his hand, turned around, and pointed in a direction: "Over there, come on, everyone follow!"
The Wen family home was very large. The three children followed Wen Sichen through winding paths, feeling that they were going further and further astray until they were surrounded by trees and could no longer see anyone.
The three little ones had a vague feeling that something was wrong.
Kong Ran frowned: "Is this the way to my great-uncle's yard? You're not kidding us, are you?"
"Can't people still have even the most basic trust between them?" Wen Sichen sneered. "Are you gold nuggets or silver nuggets? Why would I lie to you? If you don't believe me, then don't ask me to bring you anything. I'm going back to eat breakfast; I'm starving."
His words actually lessened the three children's suspicions somewhat.
But they didn't notice the wicked grin on his face as he turned away.
Before long, a somewhat old courtyard came into view.
"There it is, you three go in quickly."
Murong Chen looked up at him: "Aren't you coming in with us?"
Wen Sichen shook his head: "Your mommy doesn't like me, so I'm not going. I have to go back for dinner."
"All he knows is eating..." Kong Ran shook his head: "Never mind him, let's go in."
Kong Chi and Murong Chen nodded, and the three children entered the courtyard together.
As soon as the three of them went inside, Wen Sichen chuckled and turned around to lock the door from the outside.
"Oh no, he locked the door!"
"An abandoned house! We've been scammed!"
"Open the door! Open the door! Wen Sichen, let us out!"
Hearing the cries of the three little ones inside, Wen Sichen felt a surge of anger and was overjoyed.
He crossed his forearms and shouted through the crack in the courtyard gate, "You disrespectful children! How dare you call me by my name? By all accounts, I'm your uncle!"
Seeing the wind blowing, Kong Ran immediately said, "Uncle, you're the best and most handsome, and your red hair is the most eye-catching! Please let us out quickly, Mommy will be worried if she can't wait for us!"
As soon as Kong Ran softened her tone, the girl's unique coquettishness came out, and Wen Sichen's heart felt like it had been scratched by a kitten, tickling him.
He snorted, "Now you know how to back down? Too late! You three little liars, I've been waiting for this day for so long! Kong Wange is clearly your biological mother, but you lied to me and said she was your stepmother! I can't feel better without punishing you!"
The three little ones inside the house: "..."
"So that's what he was angry about." Murong Chen suddenly realized.
"It's amazing that he has such a good memory but is so petty; he's still holding a grudge after all this time," Kong Ran sighed.
"Sister Ran, we've been playing him for so long, it's really our fault. Why don't we apologize first and then figure out a way to get out of here?" Kong Chi concluded.
Kong Ran and Murong Chen could only nod in agreement.
The two brothers exchanged a glance, and Kong Ran's soft, sweet voice rang out again: "Uncle, boohoo, we know we were wrong. The yard is too desolate, we're so scared! Please, have mercy and let us out!"
"You, you should speak properly!" Wen Sichen tried his best to remain calm, gritting his teeth as he said, "Don't think that I'll forgive you just because you say a few nice words!"
Upon hearing this, Kong Ran's temper flared up. Too lazy to pretend anymore, she directly said, "What exactly do you want? I think you were prepared all along. Draw up your plan, and we'll see!"
Wen Sichen felt relieved after hearing her speak like that.
He coughed lightly and said, "You said it yourself, so wait here!"
About ten minutes later, Wen Sichen returned and climbed over the ladder outside the courtyard wall to get back in.
"You three, come here!"
The three children followed Wen Sichen to a stone table in the courtyard. He took out three small cups of water from his lunch bag and placed them on the stone table.
"What do you mean? Does he see we're tired from shouting and want to offer us water?" Murong Chen asked, looking confused.
"Hmph, would he really be that kind? There must have been something added to the water." Kong Ran scoffed.
"You little girl are quite clever?" Wen Sichen chuckled and pointed to the three glasses of water, saying, "Didn't you want to apologize to me? I've added capsaicin to all three glasses of water. Drink one glass each and I'll forgive you and let you go."
The three little ones looked at each other.
After a moment, Murong Chen's small eyes darted around, and he volunteered, "Okay, I'll go first!"
