Chapter 51 Little Chichi, where did your scar go?
As he spoke, Murong Chen strode towards the door.
He had only taken a couple of steps when Kong Ran grabbed him.
"Hey, calm down!!"
Kong Ran frowned slightly: "Do you think Mommy will tell you if you ask? Mommy is in a bad mood, and I bet it's still related to your little brother."
"Brother, younger brother?" Murong Chen was stunned.
“Yes,” Kong Ran touched her chin with her little hand, “Mommy has been looking for my little brother all these years. Every time she gets news but there are no results, she looks like this. Don’t you remember?”
"Sigh, but this time it seems to be even more heartbreaking than before."
Murong Chen felt a sudden pang of sadness.
It turns out that Mommy was in a bad mood because of him.
He was speechless for a moment, feeling overwhelmed with guilt, and even had an urge to confess directly to his mother.
Although he really didn't want Daddy and Mommy to be separated, he didn't want Mommy to be so sad because of him...
If she finds herself, will she stop being sad?
He unconsciously clenched his little fist.
But after a moment, the impulse was suppressed.
Based on what he's learned about his mother these past few days, if he confesses, she will definitely take him away.
In this way, Mommy won't be sad anymore, but Daddy will be sad.
Just as he was caught in a dilemma, his mind racing with thoughts, Kong Ran sighed, "It's been so long, and we still haven't found my younger brother. We can't help Mommy much, so we can only try to comfort her."
Murong Chen snapped out of his daze and nodded his little head with a complicated expression: "I'll go heat up a cup of milk for Mommy."
Kong Ran casually logged into the food delivery platform: "Go ahead, Mommy probably hasn't eaten dinner yet, I'll order her some takeout she likes!"
The two kids acted immediately. Once the milk was heated and the takeout arrived, they wobbled along, carrying the tray, and knocked on Kong Wange's door.
Inside the room, Kong Wange had just taken a shower and was now leaning against the bed looking out the window.
The thought of her youngest son possibly suffering somewhere filled her with a deep, overwhelming pain, leaving her completely listless.
There was a knock on the door, and she casually said, "Come in."
The door opened, and there were her two little darlings carrying milk and food.
"Mommy, are you hungry? I ordered your favorite Liuweiju kimchi dumplings and shredded pork and mushroom soup for you," Kong Ran said in her childish voice.
Kong Wange smiled slightly: "Thank you for your hard work, baby. Mommy isn't hungry. You two can have it."
Kong Ran frowned slightly: "Mommy, I ordered a lot. There's not enough for the two of us."
"If you can't finish it, put it in the refrigerator first, and Mommy will fry it for you to eat tomorrow morning."
Seeing Kong Wange's pale face, Kong Ran knew she didn't want to be disturbed, so she nodded her little head and said, "Okay, Mommy, you should rest early."
Mustering his courage, Murong Chen stepped forward and said, "Mommy, I've warmed up some milk for you. Drink it before you go to sleep."
Kong Wange looked at her son, who was holding the milk with a serious expression, and felt a warmth rise in her heart. She took the milk and drank it.
The milk was at the perfect temperature; as it entered my stomach, it warmed my entire body.
Murong Chen smiled when he saw her drink it, then went over and hugged Kong Wange: "Mommy, don't be sad. Believe me, you'll find...your little brother soon!"
Kong Wange patted his little head, assuming that her son had noticed her bad mood and was saying these words to comfort her.
She smiled gently and said, "Mommy, don't be sad. Mommy will feel better after a good night's sleep, okay?"
Murong Chen nodded seriously: "Okay, then goodnight, Mommy."
"good evening."
After closing the door to the master bedroom, Murong Chen felt a little down.
Kong Ran composed herself and patted his shoulder: "Little Chichi, let's finish off these kimchi dumplings and mushroom soup!"
Murong Chen shook his head: "I've already eaten dinner, I'm not hungry."
"Then just eat with me! These dumplings won't taste good if they're left overnight!"
As he spoke, Kong Ran pulled Murong Chen to the dining table.
Unable to resist, Murong Chen had no choice but to give in.
Kong Ran opened the packaging, and the aroma of the food wafted out.
Ignoring Murong Chen's emotions, she picked up one and started eating, calling out to Murong Chen as she ate, "Little Chichi, it smells delicious, have one!"
Seeing Kong Ran's carefree attitude, Murong Chen couldn't help but ask in a low voice, "Don't you miss your brother?"
Kong Ran paused slightly, then leaned closer to the sofa and said, "Yes, I do want to, but wanting is one thing, and being able to find it is another. Speaking of which, Xiao Chichi, I think what you just said is absolutely right! I've been having the same feeling lately..."
Her expression suddenly turned serious as she looked at Murong Chen with piercing eyes.
"How does it feel?"
“I also feel like my brother is right beside us! We’re about to find him!”
"Pfft..." Murong Chen spat out the mouthful of water he had just drunk: "Cough cough cough..."
"Hey, Chichi, don't get so excited! It's just a gut feeling!"
It took Murong Chen a while to recover: "You... how could you have this feeling?"
Kong Ran said mysteriously, "I don't know either. Maybe it's because we siblings are connected by heart. We think about our brother every day, and after thinking about him for a long time, we developed a telepathic connection?"
Murong Chen was stunned. After a long while, he lowered his eyes, his heart warming slightly.
For so many years, he never knew he had brothers and sisters. His father was busy most of the time, and he was alone most of the time.
He never imagined that having older siblings and being cared for would feel like this.
The slight sadness I felt earlier dissipated.
He smiled, then turned and said seriously, "My brother would be very happy to know that you think this way."
Kong Ran laughed and said, "Of course! Come on, have a bowl of mushroom soup. Cheers to finding my brother sooner!"
Mushroom soup...
These three words instantly served as a wake-up call for Murong Chen, and the emotions he had just felt vanished!
He watched as Kong Ran served him the drink, and instinctively took a step back: "Could I... not drink it?"
Kong Ran, holding the mushroom soup, stared wide-eyed: "Little Chichi, this is the most delicious mushroom soup in the world! You're not going to drink it?"
Murong Chen's face scrunched up like a bun.
To this day, he still can't understand Kong Ran's love for shiitake mushrooms...
He gritted his teeth and said, "I really don't want to drink, I'm full..."
"No, are you even listening to me? Drink it now!"
Murong Chen: "..."
He continued to back away: "No, no, no, I don't want to..."
No, you want to!
“You usually like this soup too, come on!” Kong Ran said, pushing the soup toward him.
Murong Chen immediately noticed the large, fluffy mushrooms in the soup and, as if facing a formidable enemy, jumped up in a panic, exclaiming, "I really don't..."
With a "crash," the bowl was knocked over, and a small bowl of mushroom soup instantly spilled all over him!
"Oh dear," Kong Ran quickly put the bowl aside upon seeing this, "Little Chichi, are you burned?"
Murong Chen shook his head in despair; he was about to be overwhelmed by the lingering smell of mushrooms.
Kong Ran pulled out a piece of paper and quickly wiped his arm: "Take off your clothes, they're all oily."
Murong Chen had the same idea. He quickly took off his T-shirt, turned around, and ran away, saying, "I'm going back to my room to change!"
"Wait a minute," Kong Ran suddenly spoke from behind.
Murong Chen was taken aback, then turned his head: "What's wrong?"
Kong Ran stared intently at Murong Chen's shoulder, her expression puzzled: "Little Chichi, where's the scar on your left shoulder?"
