Chapter 841 Ranbao extra (14)

Chapter 841 Ranbao extra (14)

On Wednesday afternoon, Kong Ran was the first to arrive backstage at the auditorium.

When Chu Simiao went in, she had already finished her makeup.

This time, she was going to perform a dance, which was originally a very hot street dance. But because Zhong Lin was coming, and considering his taste, she guessed that he wouldn't like this style. So, two days before going on stage, she changed the choreography at the last minute—removing many bold and passionate moves and adding some softer and slightly more difficult ones.

With this change, the entire style of the dance is completely different from before.

She wasn't used to the dance, but thinking that it might amaze Zhong Lin, she gritted her teeth and practiced it again and again until she mastered it.

"Ranran, you look so beautiful! I almost didn't recognize you when I was outside!" Chu Simiao exclaimed in amazement as she entered.

Kong Ran had been rehearsing obsessively in the dance studio for the past few days, and hadn't even noticed when Chu Simiao returned.

It was only when I saw her carrying a cello that I realized she also had a performance tonight.

She tossed the props aside, quickly walked over to help her put the cello down, and said with some annoyance, "I've been so forgetful with my life, I forgot to pick you up when you came back!"

Chu Simiao smiled and said, "We're like family. Why are you telling me this? Besides, I'm not incapable of taking care of myself. I can just take a taxi back. It's not that complicated."

She then playfully teased Kong Ran, "So, has your Senior Zhong arrived yet?"

Kong Ran was a little embarrassed, but still glanced at the time: "It's still early, we can only come after the show starts."

She asked, somewhat nervously, "How do you think I am?"

Chu Simiao said incredulously, "What did I just hear? Our little Ranran, who is always the best in the world, actually has a day when she lacks confidence?"

Upon hearing this, Kong Ran sighed softly: "Love is a trap; whoever falls in will lose their mind!"

Chu Simiao chuckled, then looked her up and down before saying seriously, "Remember what I said when I came in? You're not just beautiful today, you're absolutely stunning."

"real?"

“You can distrust anyone else’s opinion, but why can’t you trust mine?!” Chu Simiao immediately retorted.

Kong Ran thought about it and realized that compared to her own carefree and uninspired personality, her best friend was always at the forefront of fashion trends.

If she were to say "not bad" right now, it would probably be "really not bad."

Kong Ran stood in front of the mirror and examined himself.

She was going on stage today, so her makeup was naturally heavier than usual. She had taken the time to carefully apply false eyelashes, and she also had sparkly rhinestones on her eyelids. The highlighter on her cheeks and the tip of her nose was sparkling, and she wore a bright pink lipstick.

This lipstick color is not easy for most people to pull off, but Kong Ran has good skin and is young, so the color actually makes her look radiant.

She was wearing a matching fuchsia tight-fitting dress that reached just below her thighs. The top had an off-shoulder design that perfectly accentuated her shapely figure, with her left shoulder exposed and a vibrant fuchsia rose blooming on the shoulder strap.

A silver belt with rhinestones was tied around her waist, and a long pink and white tulle skirt flowed out from the hem, extending all the way past her ankles.

After watching for a while, she felt that she was indeed in a good state, so she smiled and looked back at Chu Simiao: "Then shall I go on stage like this?"

"Go for it! With you looking like this today, I guarantee your senior Zhong won't be able to walk past you!" Chu Simiao teased.

Kong Ran gently pushed her: "Don't make fun of me, I'm nervous."

Seeing that she was really not relaxed, Chu Simiao clicked her tongue lightly: "So nervous... why don't you sneak over to the audience seats first?"

"peep?"

"Use the 'power of love' you mentioned. You're so anxious because of him anyway, so seeing him once will put your mind at ease, right?"

That seems to make sense...

Kong Ran thought for a moment, then nodded and said, "Okay, let's take a sneak peek!"

Since the party hadn't started yet, she was indeed a little anxious to know if Zhong Lin was there.

The host began announcing the program. Chu Simiao's program was the last one, so they weren't in a hurry. After a quick discussion, the two of them decided to sneak to the edge of the stage, pull up the curtain, and look into the audience.

Kong Ran specifically instructed Wen Sichen to bring Zhong Lin early so they could secure a good spot.

At that moment, she glanced around and, sure enough, saw Wen Sichen and Zhong Lin in the second row.

Both of them were dressed casually in shirts and trousers, their hair was styled, their faces were clean, and their mature demeanor made them stand out among the still-young undergraduates.

"He's here!" Chu Simiao excitedly grabbed Kong Ran's forearm.

Kong Ran: "...Miao, if you put in a little more effort, I won't even need to put on my tattoo today."

Chu Simiao then realized that she had used a bit more strength, and stuck out her tongue sheepishly: "I'm just happy for you."

Kong Ran chuckled but didn't say anything.

She was indeed very happy, but this happiness was indescribable and could only be felt by herself.

How to put it? It's a bit like being wrapped in sweet cotton candy, layer upon layer, seeping into the depths of your heart.

From her position, she could see Zhong Lin's profile. He was still wearing his gold-rimmed glasses, and his clean hair hung casually over his forehead, looking very natural.

He was wearing a sky-blue T-shirt, and a gentle smile played on his lips as he spoke to Wen Sichen.

Kong Ran could hear his heart pounding.

She knew why, and found it amazing.

Seeing this, Chu Simiao, who was standing next to her, couldn't help but laugh and whispered, "Are you stunned?"

Kong Ran snapped out of her daze and coughed lightly, "No way."

"Still not admitting it?" Chu Simiao snorted and pointed to Wen Sichen next to Zhong Lin: "Hey, is that the little uncle you mentioned who's been in R country all this time?"

Kong Ran exclaimed "Ah!" before turning her gaze to Wen Sichen beside her.

He was dressed simply in a white shirt and black trousers, looking more like he was there to discuss business than to attend a party.

"Your uncle is quite handsome!"

Kong Ran shook his head: "Don't be fooled by his serious demeanor now, he's actually quite unreliable."

Chu Simiao asked curiously, "Didn't you say that Zhong Lin was brought over by him this time? It doesn't seem so unreliable, does it?"

"You don't know because I have something on him."

Kong Ran was too lazy to say anything more and pushed her towards the backstage: "Alright, alright, since you're here, I'm not worried anymore. Practice the dance with me a few more times!"

The two slipped back to the backstage area, where Wen Sichen and Zhong Lin were indeed discussing business in the audience.
