As dawn broke, the two continued walking into the woods, becoming increasingly isolated.
Youqing: "It seems we're lost."
We were indeed lost. The trees in this forest grew in a rather peculiar way, all about the same size. After marking our way and walking around for a while, we ended up back where we started.
After wandering around for half a day, it was noon. I got up in the middle of the night, having missed breakfast and lunch, and I was starving.
"How about we find a place to rest and get some food?" Otherwise, her body wouldn't be able to take it. Youqing planned to sneak some food out of the farm while she went to find something to eat. After all, they couldn't just keep going hungry like this!
"That's fine too." Kangxi was thirsty, hungry, and tired. Finding a place to rest and eat something was indeed a good idea.
They found a relatively secluded spot, and Kangxi said, "You wait here, I'll go find something to eat."
Youqing nodded.
After Kangxi left, Youqing took out a "pheasant" and a "rabbit" from the farm, and then asked the system, "System, are you still there?"
"I'm here!"
"I'm lost now, how can I get out?"
The system immediately drew a map in Youqing's mind. The map was very good, but unfortunately, Youqing couldn't understand it.
The system can't speak when Kangxi is present, it's truly unsolvable.
System: I'm speechless. How can there be a host who has no sense of direction? What sins has he committed?
The system and Youqing were trying to figure out how to understand the map when Kangxi returned with a small pheasant and a few wild eggs. It seemed he had gone straight to the pheasant's nest and destroyed it.
When Kangxi returned, he saw the pheasants and rabbits at Youqing's feet and was somewhat confused: "Where did the pheasants and rabbits come from?"
Youqing scratched her head: "I bumped into a tree."
Did you crash into it yourself?
Is this like waiting for a rabbit to run into a tree stump (or a chicken to run into a tree stump)?
That sounds so fantastical!
Kangxi didn't ask any questions. He carried a dagger, cleaned up the two pheasants and the rabbit, and then started roasting them over a fire.
The fire was given to us by Youqing; it was taken from the farm.
Before the two had finished eating, three people suddenly emerged from the bushes beside them. The three people were dressed like robbers, probably looking for them while they were looking for cigarettes.
Oh no! The two dropped what they were eating and ran away immediately.
It's not as easy to hide during the day as it is at night; two people run ahead while three chase from behind.
The two, who were already hungry, were running out of strength and gradually became exhausted. The people chasing them seemed to have inexhaustible energy and were about to catch up.
At this point, not only was Youqing exhausted, but Kangxi could not hold on any longer either. All they had was a dagger that Kangxi always carried with him. If they continued to run now, they would run until they were too exhausted to run anymore, and that would be the end of them.
The only way out is to take care of the three people chasing after us.
Kangxi, holding a dagger, stopped running.
The three men came over, saw Kangxi, and immediately came up to him, their posture suggesting they were ready to take his life.
It seems this really is targeting him.
Kangxi was running out of strength, but he was skilled in martial arts, and for a time the three men couldn't do anything to him. At this moment, someone suddenly went to Youqing's side, seemingly intending to kidnap or get rid of her first.
Youqing had already prepared her weapons, ready to take the robber away as soon as he got closer. However, she didn't even touch the robber; instead, Kangxi stood in front of her.
The robber's broadsword pierced right through Kangxi's stomach, leaving Youqing stunned.
At this moment, she couldn't care about anything else. She quickly helped Kangxi up and said to the system in her mind, "System, please help me."
The system immediately hypnotized the three robbers, who then collapsed to the ground in a daze.
Kangxi was only injured, not dead yet! Naturally, he heard and saw everything.
The system then spoke up: "This person has lost too much blood. Quickly administer medication to stop the bleeding, or their life will be in danger."
Kangxi heard the system's words, and his expression showed a mixture of surprise and understanding.
Although Kangxi was almost unaffected by the "bad" effects of the system after it was repaired, the system still had many connections with him.
Youqing couldn't care less about anything else. Since the system couldn't hypnotize Kangxi, she could only take out some hemostatic medicine and give it to him.
And so, Kangxi saw Youqing conjure things out of thin air, and with the mechanical voice in his ear, he felt that his wounds no longer hurt for a moment.
He knew that Youqing must have had some extraordinary encounters, or that she was quite magical, but this level of magic was still beyond his expectations.
No wonder she was able to escape from the palace without anyone noticing.
Youqing applied medicine to Kangxi, and the bleeding stopped immediately. However, Youqing was not a proper doctor and had no experience in drawing a knife, so she dared not move around and could only ask the system what to do.
The system didn't want Kangxi to really die either. After all, if Kangxi died, it would also suffer a great loss of vitality, as a small part of its power still resided in Kangxi!
"Bring the person into your farm first. There's a medical device in the store that can help remove the knife."
At this point, Youqing didn't care about the problems that needed to be exposed. The problems that needed to be exposed had already been exposed. Kangxi was injured because of her, and although she didn't seem to be in danger without him.
Youqing couldn't bear to watch Kangxi die. Putting aside emotions, at this time, Kangxi suddenly died, the crown prince was young, and the empress dowager was old. It was hard to say what would happen to this dynasty in the future.
Emperor Kangxi had to save them.
After the system finished speaking, Youqing led Kangxi into the farm. Naturally, she didn't discuss this process with Kangxi. Kangxi was still confused about what the system meant by "farm" and "medical equipment." In the next instant, he saw the surrounding scenery change.
