Looking at the evidence attached to the letter, Lin Meichan burst into tears. What had she done all this for? Wasn't it just to get justice and to comfort the soul of the dead with the death of that scumbag Zhao Desheng?
What she needed to do to die together with others was so easily accomplished with someone's help.
Another day passed, and Lin Meichan went to the largest shop in the capital, Yan Yuege.
"Miss, what would you like to order?"
Lin Meichan said, "I have something to discuss with your manager."
Upon hearing this, the girl who had just greeted Lin Meichan suddenly remembered that the shopkeeper had instructed her the day before yesterday that if any girl surnamed Lin came looking for her, she should take her to the backyard.
"May I ask your surname, young lady?"
"His surname is Lin."
"Miss Lin, I'll take you to the backyard. Our manager is there!"
Yan Yuege caters to women; the shop is frequented by young women, most of whom come from impoverished families and need money.
The girls in the shop are usually enough to handle things. The shopkeeper has many other responsibilities and can't be in the shop all the time.
"Thank you for your trouble, young lady."
"Miss Lin, you're too kind."
Lin Meichan was taken to the backyard, which was quite old. Yan Yuege, which offered "beauty" services, had a large storefront, but it wasn't big enough for this area, so the backyard was larger and perfect for the girls to get facials.
"Shopkeeper, Miss Lin is here."
The shopkeeper, who was checking accounts in his study, stopped calculating upon hearing this and said, "Come in!"
The letter was delivered personally by the shopkeeper, so the two had met before and were not strangers.
"Miss Lin, please have a seat."
"Thank you, Manager."
"Shopkeeper, I'll go ahead and greet them."
The shopkeeper nodded and waved his hand: "Go!"
After the girl who escorted Lin Meichan left, the shopkeeper closed the door.
"Has Miss Xin read it?"
Lin Meichan nodded: "Can your boss really bring the Zhao family to justice?"
"You should have seen the evidence of the Zhao family's crimes that our master gave you. If you don't believe me, you can go and see our master yourself. Our master greatly admires you."
Lin Meichan's heart tightened when she heard her use the word "appreciative".
Seeing her expression, the shopkeeper knew that she had probably misunderstood, so he quickly explained, "Our boss is also a woman. Lin Meichan then understood, but she was still a little uneasy.
The shopkeeper continued, "Our boss will be coming to check the accounts tomorrow. If you're worried, young lady, you can come tomorrow. You can stay in this shop, how about that?"
That's fine. Yan Yuege is located in a prime location, so she's not afraid of being kidnapped and sold. Besides, Lin Meichan basically already believes what the manager said.
The letter contained evidence of the Zhao family's crimes, enough to bring them to ruin and make them unable to live the life of ordinary people. But Lin Meichan was not willing to accept this. After leaving Yan Yuege, Lin Meichan found a trusted person and gave them instructions. If something happened to her, the evidence would be enough to send the Zhao family to prison to pay their debts.
The next day, Lin Meichan went to Yan Yuege. She arrived quite early. Even though Youqing had gotten up early, the journey would still take some time.
When Youqing arrived, it was almost noon.
This time, Youqing was dressed in women's clothing. Meeting a woman, especially a resilient woman like Lin Meichan, was more appropriate in women's clothing, which would also make Lin Meichan feel more relaxed.

Seeing Lin Meichan's surprised expression, Youqing smiled, her aloof demeanor softening and gaining a touch of gentleness.
"Miss Lin, are you surprised to see me?"
"The girl looks too young."
Youqing smiled and said, "Since you are a few years older than Miss Lin, I will call you Sister Lin. My surname is Shu and my name is Shu Youqing."
Lin Meichan followed Youqing's words and said, "Sister Shu."
