Chapter 4 Comparison

With the farm now open, Youqing is finally getting busy.

With Sangzhu around during the day, it was inconvenient for her to move around, so she farmed at night. Although she was weak, being on the farm didn't affect her at all, and she didn't experience the side effects of staying up late.

Youqing was quite satisfied with this.

That night, after Sangzhu fell asleep, Youqing asked the system to keep an eye on Sangzhu's movements, and then she entered the farm.

When she first went in, Youqing couldn't help but squint her eyes and sigh with relief; it felt so good to have strength.

I've been sick and weak for several days, and it feels much better to be strong and healthy.

Youqing looked around the farm; it was quite simple, with one acre of land and three thatched huts, and that was it.

"System, I forgot to ask, do I have any gold coins?"

Seeds require gold coins to buy; without gold coins, everything is pointless.

System: "No gold coins, but there is a newbie seed gift pack."

Where is the beginner seed gift pack?

As soon as she finished speaking, a gift bag appeared in front of Youqing, tied with a red bow, giving it a very gift-like feel.

She couldn't wait to open the gift package, which was full of seeds, each labeled with a different type. There were about ten different kinds, quite a variety.

Chinese cabbage, rice, tomatoes, green beans, potatoes, eggplants, sweet potatoes, wheat, soybeans, peanuts, scallions, ginger, and garlic.

Besides vegetables and staple foods, there were even apple and pear seeds.

Youqing was very satisfied with the contents of the gift bag.

Most of them are things she can use and likes to eat.

She was lucky.

With the seeds in hand, and under the system's guidance, Youqing began her bumpy planting journey.

A night passed, and Youqing had only cultivated a small portion of the land. She was exhausted and almost breathless.

Before leaving the farm, she said, "I'm afraid this won't work. I can manage to get by on one acre, but if I have more land, I really won't be able to cultivate it. Is there any advanced technology we can use?"

The system said, "As long as there are enough gold coins, even cutting-edge technology is not impossible."

Hearing this, Youqing was no longer tired. She had hope for the future. She worked hard, earned gold coins, bought advanced technology, and eventually reached the pinnacle of life by farming while lying down.

After leaving the farm, Youqing felt completely exhausted. The fatigue from a night's work caused her to close her eyes and fall asleep immediately.

After sleeping for about an hour, Sangzhu came in to wake Youqing up.

After a night of hard work, Youqing was very sleepy. She nestled in bed and mumbled to Sangzhu, "I don't need breakfast. I'm so sleepy. Let's have it together with lunch!"

Sangzhu immediately disagreed, saying, "Your Highness, that won't do. You are already weak. The imperial physician instructed you before he left that you must eat three meals a day on time, otherwise it will be detrimental to your recovery. If Your Highness is very sleepy, you can eat first and then go to sleep."

Youqing didn't want to get up, but Sangzhu was determined to make her eat, so she had no choice but to say, "Fine, go get breakfast. I can get up by myself."

Sangzhu then said, "That's fine too."

After Sangzhu left, Youqing immediately closed her eyes, slumped onto the bed, hugged the blanket, and fell asleep.

So when Sangzhu returned with breakfast, she saw Youqing sleeping soundly, wrapped in a blanket. She placed the breakfast on the table and went to the bedside: "My lady, breakfast is here. I will help you get up."

Youqing was woken up again. With no other choice, Sangzhu helped her get dressed, wash up, and then she ate breakfast with her eyes half-closed. After eating, she rinsed her mouth and immediately went back to bed.

Seeing this, Sangzhu smiled helplessly, then cleared away the dishes and left.

After three consecutive nights of hard work, the seeds were finally planted. Since it was only one acre of land, she didn't plant any staple foods, only vegetables and fruits.

Exhausted, Youqing slumped down at the edge of the field: "Finally finished planting, when can we harvest?"

System: "Vegetables for ten days, fruit for a month."

Youqing scoffed and said, "As expected of a farm produced by the system, it's so anti-scientific it's astonishing."

The system disagreed: "What do you mean by anti-science? It's because you don't understand science. What's so special about harvesting vegetables in ten days and fruits in a month? There are even vegetables and fruits that you can harvest as soon as you plant them! Don't say it's unscientific just because you haven't seen it. Science is endless. It's modern thinking that has limited your imagination of science."

Youqing spat and said, "My understanding of science is insufficient. I was transported to such a suffocating era for no reason, with no internet, no electricity, and no freedom. So what? Is time travel a science?"

The system said, "You're absolutely right. Time travel really is science. Time travel happens when two dimensions of spacetime intersect, and that's what happens..."

Youqing quickly interrupted him: "Alright, stop explaining. I've seen science fiction movies. Time travel can be explained scientifically, but what about yang energy? How are you going to explain that?"

The Yin-Yang system? Male yang, isn't that metaphysics? Why are you arguing with her about science? Is that even scientific?

That's completely unscientific!!

System: "This can also be explained. Everyone emits a magnetic field, and each person's magnetic field is different. There is a clear difference between the magnetic fields of men and women. Yang energy is the term used to describe the magnetic field unique to men, while Yin energy is the term used to describe the magnetic field unique to women. The system operates by utilizing the balance between these two magnetic fields..."

Sang Youqing: "..."

It's just so frustrating.

She had no intention of conducting any scientific research in ancient times, and of course, she had no such intention in modern times either, so whether the system was scientific or not was not important.

The important thing is that I don't have to work for the next ten days, and I can finally get a good night's sleep.

Although staying up all night on the farm is a form of staying up all night that does not harm the body, it is bad for the mind!
