Chapter 6 Descending to the Mortal Realm to Experience Tribulations

That evening, Youqing continued harvesting "happiness" at the farm, while Sangzhu was having a dream. In her dream, she saw Youqing flying towards her from afar on auspicious, colorful clouds, dressed in flowing white robes, with a teardrop-shaped, crystal-clear jade pendant hanging on her forehead...

Then a voice entered her mind, telling her that Youqing was a fairy who had descended to earth to undergo tribulation and possessed very magical abilities. Now she had been specially chosen to be the fairy's attendant. If she saw any miracles in the future, she should not be alarmed. Youqing's identity was not convenient to tell more people. She should be careful with her words and actions and not tell others about the strange things she saw.

When Sangzhu woke up, she exclaimed and sat up in bed, "A fairy!"

I opened my eyes, and there was nothing there.

Was it just a dream? But it felt so real.

Just as Sangzhu was having doubts, her eyes suddenly saw Youqing's fairy appearance, who was smiling at her.

Sangzhu rubbed her eyes. The fairy was still there, but she couldn't reach her with her hand.

"Fairy?"

“Sangzhu, you must remember not to tell anyone about any strange things you see in the future. You must do it.”

This is a fairy speaking!

Sangzhu immediately assured her, "This servant will definitely do it."

After he finished speaking, the phantom disappeared.

Youqing observed what the system was doing and thought, "System, you're quite good at making up stories."

System: "What's this? It's actually a good thing for her. Otherwise, there's no way to explain the things that suddenly appear in the future. People in ancient times were superstitious. Let her know that she works for a fairy, and she will be very happy."

Youqing thought about it and agreed.

The truth that cannot be spoken may need a seemingly plausible story to explain it.

When Sangzhu went to wake Youqing up again, her voice was much softer than usual. Before, she had the respect of a servant to his master when she was waving at Youqing, but now she had the worship and respect of a mortal to a fairy.

They cannot be compared side by side.

"My lady, it's time to get up. I've brought back breakfast." Her tone was much gentler than usual, as if she were afraid of startling Youqing.

Youqing slowly got out of bed. She was still very tired after working all night, but she was used to being woken up by Sangzhu.

She got dressed and washed up, then ate a quick meal, keeping her eyes half-closed the whole time. So she didn't see that Sangzhu was staring intently at her face the entire time, with an excited look flashing in her eyes. How should I put it... it was like a dog seeing a bone, extremely eager.

After finishing her breakfast, Youqing went back to sleep, and Sangzhu took even better care of her.

When Youqing woke up again, it was almost noon. Sangzhu saw movement on the bed, put down the cloth in her hand, and went forward: "My lady, you are awake. This servant will help you get dressed."

Youqing got dressed, combed her hair, and it was almost lunchtime.

Sangzhu went to the kitchen to eat with a look of excitement on her face.

When she arrived at the kitchen, she asked for several dishes that suited Youqing's taste, but they were all unavailable. It would be understandable if it happened once or twice, but it was not normal if they didn't have any every time!

"What do you mean by this, sir? Although our young master has only agreed, he is still a master. Please tell us what the kitchen has to offer?"

The eunuch said with a disdainful look, "Miss Sangzhu has quite a temper. It's normal for the kitchen to occasionally lack some ingredients. You can only blame your bad luck for asking for things that the kitchen doesn't have. That's right. If you were lucky, you wouldn't have been assigned to a concubine who has never served the emperor. The kitchen has nothing else today but bok choy and rice soup."

Sangzhu was furious. What did these people know? The young mistress was a fairy descended from heaven; no one had better luck than her.

Those ignorant mortals who bully fairies will be punished.

"Don't push your luck."

The old man sneered, "Young lady, what are you saying? I have never bullied you. Don't make false accusations. As for the bok choy and rice porridge, take it or leave it."

Sangzhu was truly powerless at this moment. The people in the kitchen were deliberately making things difficult for her. If they said no, the young mistress would definitely go hungry. If they said yes, the cabbage and rice soup were not worthy of the young mistress who was a fairy descended to earth. But they couldn't let the young mistress go hungry, after all, the young mistress had descended to earth to undergo tribulation and was still a mortal.

"I was wrong just now. I spoke without thinking. Our young master is still recovering from a serious illness. The imperial physician instructed that he should take good care of himself and not let his health be damaged. Please, sir, give him a way out."

“Miss Sangzhu, that sounds much better. It’s not that I want to make things difficult for you, but you’ve offended someone, and I’m in a difficult position too. How about this, Miss, slap yourself twice, and that will be the end of it.”

Sangzhu blushed as she listened to those few casual words. It was simply too much, but her mistress was still hungry.

She couldn't act impulsively. If she really clashed with the eunuch in charge of the kitchen, all of the young mistress's meals would be ruined in the future.

If you act impulsively and weigh the pros and cons, you will suffer humiliation.

Sangzhu slapped herself in front of her father-in-law. The slap hit her face, and Sangzhu's heart bled. It wasn't painful, but it was truly humiliating and shameful.

To please her father-in-law, Sangzhu didn't hold back. Accustomed to heavy work, Sangzhu slapped herself twice, and her cheeks instantly became red and swollen.

The father-in-law smiled with satisfaction: "The young lady did a good job fanning. Since the young lady is so sincere, I will naturally not make things difficult for her anymore. The ingredients prepared by the kitchen should be sent over by now. I will tell the chefs to prepare Consort Shu's lunch."

Sangzhu, holding back her tears, said, "Thank you, sir."

"You're too kind, young lady."

Sangzhu returned with the food box. As soon as she entered the house, Youqing noticed that her cheeks were badly swollen. Before she could speak, Youqing asked her, "What happened to your face?"
