Chapter 1945 I Have More Experience Than Fellow Daoists

"Yeah, Dazhuang, I never dreamed I'd one day ride on an immortal's flying sword. That's so awesome!"

The excitement of the two teenagers also affected the Black Owl in front of him. Recalling his time with Xiao Jiu, Feng Ming and Xiao Yao'er in the Great Zhao Plane, he realized that they had dispelled the gloom and coldness in his heart, and a slight smile appeared on his lips.

At Black Owl's speed, it would only take him a few breaths to get from the village entrance to the center of the village.

From afar, he saw a small, thin figure tied to a tree trunk as thick as a person's embrace. Underneath him was a makeshift platform made of several boulders, surrounded by piles of dry branches and withered grass that almost covered the tied-up man's waist.

An old man dressed in animal skins and wearing a headband adorned with animal teeth was holding a blazing torch. Amidst the excited shouts of "Burn him to death!" from the entire village of men, women, and children, he slowly walked toward the stone platform in the center.

Behind the old man was a man dressed in a light blue robe, carrying a long sword on his back, with his head held high, acting all high and mighty.

This man was the only one in the entire village who was dressed normally and had a ruddy complexion.

Just as the old man lowered the handle in his hand, about to set fire to the pile of dry grass beneath the stone platform.

Black Owl arrived on his sword and suddenly shouted, "Wait!"

The two teenagers behind him also chimed in:

"Wait, don't burn it!"

"Chief, wait a moment!"

The old man and all the villagers turned around, looking at the black owl who was flying on a sword with surprise and reverence.

The man in the light blue robe beside the old man's eyes flashed with a sinister glint when he saw the black owl arriving on a sword:

He finally managed to return to the village and make a name for himself, only to have it stolen from him. How could he accept that!

"Which fellow Daoist are you from? What brings you to my Fengyun Village?" the man asked, stepping past the old man with a distant and indifferent attitude.

Black Owl sensed the man's resistance and displeasure, but before he could answer, he was already in a hurry.

The two teenagers behind him eagerly answered:

"Brother Da Niu, this immortal says he's an inner disciple of the Han Yu Sect!"

"Brother Da Niu, Chieftain, this immortal said that true evil spirits must not be burned, or our village will be doomed!"

Upon hearing that Hei Xiao was an inner disciple of the Hanyu Sect, the man called Da Niu was taken aback for a moment, but a mocking expression quickly appeared on his face: "I thought you were a disciple of some great family, but it turns out you're from the Hanyu Sect. Isn't your Hanyu Sect like the Dan Sect, which has been secluded for many years and hasn't ventured out? What brings you here, fellow Daoist?"

As he spoke, Da Niu's face lit up with arrogance, his words laced with barbs: "It's best for you, fellow Daoist, to remain an observer in the affairs of our Fengyun Village and not interfere. Your Hanyu Sect and Dan Sect have been secluded for a long time, so you're probably unaware of the rampant evil spirits and their harm to living beings outside. Our Biyue Sect takes it upon ourselves to protect all living beings and has dealt with many evil spirits. I have more experience in this matter than you, fellow Daoist."

As they spoke, Black Owl realized that the person bound to the stone platform was indeed one of the twins.

However, he was currently unconscious and could not determine whether it was Ji Fengxiao or Ji Fenghua without speaking.

"He is a demon," Black Owl sneered, landing on his sword.

Only after the two teenagers behind him had landed safely did he put away his sword.

Da Niu then noticed the flying sword at Hei Xiao's feet, and his eyes immediately flashed with intense jealousy and greed:

Those cowards of the Han Yu Sect do possess some good swords!

Such a fine sword falling into the hands of these good-for-nothings is a complete waste!
