Chapter 435 The Young Master Should Only Be Seen in Paintings

Xiong Yingxiang was stunned. Was this normal case handling?

Where is the promised ten million taels?

Seeing Xiong Yingxiang's bewildered and stupid look, Xique couldn't help but burst into laughter: "Lord Xiong, look at you, my young lady was just teasing you!"

"Huh?" Xiong Yingxiang scratched his head, stunned.

"Alright, enough teasing, sir," Ji Fengyao couldn't help but chuckle, her eyes sparkling. "If I'm not mistaken, someone will be coming to your residence tonight. Don't panic, sir. I will secretly send people to protect you. They will never dare to reveal their identities or threaten you. Just ask for whatever you want."

"Thank you, Ninth Princess Consort, I understand," Xiong Yingxiang said with a beaming smile.

He couldn't stay long, so he only sat for a short while before leaving.

Ji Fengyao, along with Xique and Wushang, had a big meal and drinks. After they were full, they came out of the private room and, as they passed through the lobby on the second floor, they suddenly heard a crisp sound of porcelain breaking.

"I'm so sorry, sir, are your hands alright? I didn't mean to, this pot of tea is just too hot," the waiter's voice, trembling with sobs, came through clearly.

Like everyone else, Ji Fengyao looked over upon hearing the sound and was immediately filled with amazement.

By the window, the person wore a jade crown, a snow-white light robe, and had skin as white as snow. Their eyebrows and eyes were like a painting, and their pure lips were like strawberry jelly, with an alluring color and a soft appearance.

It is precisely:

You, sir, should only see the painting; I alone know the secret within.

To write about the end of the watercourse and the sky's edge, one must surely not be a person of this mortal realm.

If it weren't for the distinct mark on her throat, Ji Fengyao would have believed she was an absolute beauty!

The woman's beautiful hands were also burned; the backs of her hands were bright red and immediately blistered, making it look quite shocking.

The waiter was so anxious that he cried.

Although the man's brows were furrowed in pain, he wasn't particularly angry. His words and actions carried a subtle air of forbearance and inferiority, and his voice was soft, gentle, and very pleasant: "It's alright. Go quickly and fetch me a basin of cool water, and then call a doctor."

Ji Fengyao, with the compassion of a healer, was about to go over when Wu Shang stopped her with his sword sheath and quietly shook his head at her.

"What?" Ji Fengyao asked, puzzled.

“That’s the Third Prince, Shang Beiyu,” Wu Shang transmitted his voice secretly. “The Third Prince has always had a bad reputation. It would be best for the Princess Consort to avoid contact with him.”

"How can his reputation be worse than my bandit reputation? Don't worry, I'll just give him a bottle of medicine. It would be a pity if such beautiful hands were ruined."

Ji Fengyao smiled and, using her wide sleeves as cover, took out a bottle of homemade burn medicine from her storage ring. She walked up to Shang Beiyu and handed it to him: "Your hands have delicate skin. Washing them with cold water will cause them to fester and may leave scars. I happen to have some burn medicine here. If you don't mind, please use it."

She saw him staring blankly at her without answering.

Ji Fengyao placed the medicine bottle on the table, turned around, and led Xique and Wushang downstairs.

Shang Beiyu looked at the deserted stairwell and then at the medicine bottle on the table.

Just then, the waiter who had made the mistake brought over some cold water: "Sir, here's your cold water; I'll go fetch a doctor for you right away!"

"No need," Shang Beiyu said softly.

"Ah, but your hands..." The waiter said with a deep sense of guilt and remorse.

"It's alright, you can go now," Shang Beiyu said kindly, without a hint of reproach.

"Thank you, young master, thank you, young master!" The waiter cried again, kowtowing several times with tears of gratitude before retreating.

Shang Beiyu picked up the porcelain bottle, sniffed it, and then poured out some of the medicinal liquid inside to apply to the wound.
