Black Owl carried Ji Fengming as they sped swiftly through the forest.
The dense branches and leaves occasionally brushed against his body and face, leaving faint red marks. Despite his careful attempts to avoid them, Ji Fengming, who was on his back, was still slapped hard on the face by the branches a few times, and slowly woke up from his unconsciousness.
The cool autumn night breeze caressed the fresh wounds on my face, causing a stinging pain.
Ji Fengming struggled to open his eyes and looked around. He caught a whiff of Hei Xiao's unique, cold fragrance and said in a hoarse voice, "Brother Hei, where are you taking me? Can't you slow down? Doesn't it hurt if a tree branch hits your face?"
"You're awake." Black Owl's body trembled slightly, but his steps did not slow down in the slightest.
Ji Fengming could tell that he spoke those three words with extreme joy, fear, and a hint of grievance.
"As the old saying goes, good people don't live long, but evil people live for thousands of years; a scourge like me is definitely going to live for thousands of years, how could I just sleep for so long and never wake up?" As Ji Fengming spoke, another tree branch slapped his face.
Although Black Owl dodged in time, he couldn't avoid it.

The last branch slapped my face, stinging painfully.

He finally understood why Black Owl had taken him away: "Are they still the same people?"
"I don't know," Black Owl paused, his voice unusually low, "maybe."
Ji Fengming frowned slightly. If it was those people, then this would be quite troublesome.
Judging from Black Owl's breathing, he wouldn't last much longer.
Ji Fengming struggled to bring his arms forward a little more, and then laboriously reached back to the stone on his neck.
Black Owl thought he was uncomfortable because he was falling too low, so he carefully lifted him up; but then he saw that his right hand was slightly clenched, and a small golden ball appeared in his hand.
"A token from the Eastern Dragon Gate?" Black Owl was slightly surprised, a flash of inspiration striking him.
Ji Fengming tossed his right palm upwards, and the small golden ball floated into the air, blooming like a golden flower before bursting open in the sky.
A dazzling firework burst open in the night sky above the mountains, lingering for a long time; it was a beautiful sight.
The men in black who were hot on their heels all looked up.
One of them said to the tall, thin man in black, "Boss, it seems to be a communication signal from the East Dragon Gate."
"East Dragon Gate?" the thin man in black asked.
"Donglongmen is a well-known mercenary assassin organization in the martial arts world," the man in black explained.
The slender man in black lowered his eyes indifferently: "As long as they don't provoke us, we don't need to bother with them."
Seeing that Hei Xiao only glanced down at his hand slightly without saying anything, Ji Fengming smiled and said, "Why don't you ask me? Or are you afraid that I'll ask you for the favor of saving my life twice? No, three times, this is the third time."
Hearing the weak sound in his voice, Black Owl said softly, "Speak less."
"Hehe, you really are scared," Ji Fengming laughed even more gleefully.
